Horse Stall mats for your carport!

Nothing fancy here! A long time struggling with gravel while trying to work on vehicles but this solution has been great.
I had wanted concrete under my shop for a long time but timing, economics, and other issues have always held me back from it.
My dad suggested "Horse stall mats", and suddenly it made sense.
Use at least two people, wear gloves, level it as best as you can, even use a compacter,.. and you may have much better option!

I used one of those with sand/clay mix under as a landing pad for Dad's wheelchair ramp when he got to that stage... It firmed up like a rock for that application. I was impressed. And your video here gives me some ideas. Thanks!

That is so awesome to hear. Dads inspire much.
If it wasn't for my dad, I would have waited out concrete, which would have meant another year, two, or more struggling with the next leap.
Prayers for your dad, thankful he has someone like you to address these issues. Many do not!
Some compaction beneath this would have been awesome, but I just had to say, time to just make it better!

Where did you get the horse stall mats? I could use them for parking my skid steer, maybe it would help prevent tearing up the lawn/dirt every time I move the ASV skid steer. Thank you.
