Great vid! Something else important to know about with Tien is that using the chaiotzu lvl 3 super not only does the most damage of a lvl 3 in the game, but also sets up a 4 way mixup with super jump instant air dash. Good luck to all the new Tien players 👍
Oh shit really? That's a pretty neat trade off for loosing chaiotzu if it's the opponents last character.
By damage we talkin damage damage or just damage from combo
@@killingtime8652 combo damage, scaled damage to be more accurate. Base goku spirit bomb is most damaging raw or really early in a combo, but does 2000 damage near the end of a combo (average lvl 3 damage is around 1700). Chaiotzu lvl 3 does 2600 damage scaled, but its raw damage is quite low

Just found this video but I loved tien since the end of season 2 ! I made him my anchor instead of Yamcha and never looked back. And it has felt so good to seen him get buffed all through out season 3 - 3.5 . I'm struggling to find a mid right now with point base vegeta and anchor tien

Tien is my anchor. I've won a lot of matches with his sparkless solo tod
I haven't found a good way to tag during an air combo with Tien yet, am i missing something? I know you can do it off of his volleyball hit but thats not very helpful. Any suggestions?
My go to stratagy as tien is to use the M variant of vollyball fist in neutral.
Btw his B assist also works nice with Vegito in combos. So Team like Gogeta Blue, Vegito and Tien works really nice with Tien's B. For other teams A maybe a lot better.
Yeah I play base vegeta piccolo and tien and I far prefer tien A for combos

Trying to learn Tien but there are a few things I’m worried about. His supers take away health which makes me feel like I have to save him for last for spark. I also feel like if he’s not in anchor position then I don’t get the most of him. Am I just thinking too much? Or should I just leave Tien be? Tien mains help me please
Tien for me has become irreplacable. I started my team and dbfz when ssj4 came out and was a noob. At some point i picked up jiren cause of dotodoya, and then tien. But tien is the last i would replace tbh he's become my best character. Jiren is a bit of an issue though as i picked him up right before he got nerfed and had already learned combos so didnt want to drop him yet cause he's also fun.. there might be better synergies for ssj4/tien shell like vegito or gogeta blue, brolys, android 21etc but not sure what makes sense. Piccolo would make it a cool team but he is hard as hell to learn and gets mashed on often..
In this game you usually get 2 touched so losing health for supers isn't that bad. You also have chaotzu if you don't want to lose health. Tien is an excelent anchor.
