Are you familiar with oil dilution dpf problems

Here I explain steps to take when you have trouble code P1468. This trouble code will affect the regeneration of the dpf. The longer the code stays on the more damage your engine will experience. The main bearings can be damaged. The cylinder walls can have the oil washed down accelerating wear and tier

The oil dilution value is not measured in any way, just calculated by the ECU.
This means that if someone does an oil change/service on the car and does not reset the oil dilution value then it will continue to rise according to the mileage.
When the OD value reaches 9% the ECU will no longer do normal regen while driving and you will have to take the car to a garage to get it regenerated.
So when you service any diesel subaru MAKE SURE TO ALWAYS RESET THE OIL DILUTION TO ZERO!
Otherwise you will have constant DPF problems.
Source: I'm a certified Subaru service technician at a Subaru shop and i regularly get cars into the shop where a third party shop has done a service but not reset oil dilution.
