  • This is was taken at a recent clinic I did and explains one of the key applications you can use in your training that can make a big difference to your horse: getting a good yield. It is the difference between you taking from your horse (ie space) and your horse moving itself - and the key to that is knowing when your horse moves towards it's thoughts.
A yield should be a giving, not a taking.
Australian horseman Mark Langley helps people to manage their horses through his Calm Connected yet highly practical unique approach to training horses: reducing brace and tension and helping horses to feel better - resulting in softer, more balanced and happier horses.

Everything I teach has to make sense to the horse; help to reduce tension; gain confidence and understanding; and gain a connection with you.
It doesn't matter what stage you are at in your horsemanship. My focus on putting your horses mind before the body offers a different approach to horsemanship and I hope to be able to help you help your horse to be more relaxed, willing and happier because of that.
