Equal Loudness was such a hidden gem. It actually really sounds good.
I like how the whole loops ad lady has grown much confident and camera ready compared to the old ones. Puts a smile on my face
She’s beautiful too
I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THE LONGEST TIME TO ADD FADES TO MULTIPLE AUDIO TRACKS, THANK YOU!!!!
me too!
How the fuck did I not know this!
SOOOO MANY YEARS WITH ABLETON AND I DID NOT KNOW YOU CAN GROUP SAMPLES!!!! Great video!!!
game changer! i'm gonna be honest Reid, i have learned so much from you & i never miss out on any of your videos. Been following your tuts since the very beginning and will keep doing so. one of the best in the game, hands down!
Bro you the best! Period. I just downloaded drip software couldn’t find it in ableton. I was ready to give up on my entire career but I found this video about the settings. Can’t explain how grateful I am. 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Wow I've been producing in ableton for 3 years and you managed to find almost 12 things I didn't know. The multiple plugin window is going to be really useful. I got a second monitor but couldn't figure out how to keep a spectrum analyzer from my master channel up on it
You got me on strings with this tutorial! Thank you, Reid!! I promise I’ll never take my soft toys for granted!!
Thank Ried! Just added Ableton to my production quiver and feeling lucky I found your channel right at my start.
Awesome video!!! Thank you!!
Bro!! Thank you so much for all you give to the LIVE community! I respect and have learned so much from you! Your a true GOAT.
Loved it!
Nice !!! Thank you so much 🙏🏻
Hey Reid just wanted to say thank you for being so awesome! Really all of your videos are so helpful and I learn a lot from them plus they are easy to follow along with and understand, again thank you! you rock man!
THE ANALYSIS FILES HAVE BEEN USING ALL OF MY STORAGE FOREVER. THANK YOU.
Great tips, thank you! Didn’t know about the auto recolor all tracks in a group trick, that’s awesome thank you!
I just watched a video with a puppet showing me music production software tips. Oh what a wonderful world we live in!
I absolutely love how fast paced these are
I’ve been using ableton for over 2 years now and I’m just finding out about the multiple plugin windows!!! That’s crazy, thanks for doin the vid
wow this was sooo useful thank u very much
I've always hated those adg files on my computer, I had no idea you could turn that off! Thank you bro 🔥🖤
SAME!!! And I have been producing for many years. Just shows you are always learning!
First off, it's "asd", ADG is a drum rack or instrument files. Second, those asd files serve a purpose like speed up sample loading time (and I assume lower hard drive load)
@@VeganCossack they also store all your automation for the tracks.
not good to turn off, you should use powershell to hide the filles :P
Awesome and helpful video Reid!! Thank you bud
very helpful for a beginner like me . Thanks Reid
I love this dude!!
Love u Reid, you really are the realest puppet in the game.
3 new upgrades, thanks for this Reid!
thx reid, just pure info no countdowns or any garbage, iam using more instrument racks for sure, thx man for being the realest :D
Man this is super helpful, the ctrl+alt+o shortcut i never knew, and i always wanted to turn off that overview.
Instrument Racks! Very cool thing. Great advice as always.
Amazing tips dude! Really helped alot
Christ I could have done with knowing the equal loudness option a while back haha! Love it! Cheers Reid, love your vids :)
Omg that multiple plugin windows setting is so basic but so useful!
Thanks for sharing
thanks bro ...very usefull
You did it again man. lemme put these to practise
ok this was super useful thankyou
Amazing, love your videos and sample packs! btw F9 is the default "Record" shortcut buttom.
damn that instrument rack layering is a major gem!!
That was actually useful. Thanks. 👍
Didn't know that about the delay. Good look! With the custom key commands you can set all your regular ones and save that as default session so it loads up every new session with your key commands. Also one of my favorite key commands is creating a marker and applying a key to that so you can always set a restart point in the area you're working on. The cmd+space bar restart is annoyingl because it will restart on anything that you have selected.
Brilliant!
Im a puppeteering student that judt got into music. I love this channel already
cmd+shift+X/V/D are the biggest vibe to me when building song structures.. was one of the latest discoveries
You are the best Bro keep it up
👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow!!... 1:18 to 3:12.. Completely mind-blowing!!
Wow this was amazing
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that "ad"? Im laughing so hard I love it hahaha
Thanks for the gems as always bro♥
nice man, you're the best!!
WoW.....Thanks so much
damn been using ableton for 5 years and still learnt something!!! Thank you these are beast!
👍🏾 didn’t know that about the echo equal gain function
shif+tab (win) to switch from clip view to instrument view (and viceversa). Very useful shortcut.
Thx Lil Puppet!!!💯
Very timely since I recently switched over from FL. Ableton is so much better.
Well done, young chap.
Thanks!
2:35 that sample is the licc lol
Bro you straight up just blew my mind
Nice Tips!
This muppet is awesome
Thanks alot this will really speed up your workflow if u follow this tutorial
equal loudness and stack fade in/out - thanks dude
Thank you !!!!!!!!
Yea!!! My favorite tip was the equal loudness on ECHO
Equal Loudness should be an option on every mix knob 🔥
@@ReidStefanMusic Dang, was hoping to find that on every Ableton plugin with a mix knob. Guess I'll have to stick to the method you teached us using racks.
Reid Stefan Seriously, thanks for the heads up! Next update hopefully🤞
straight faya tip this is!🔥🔥🔥
and yes, should be on every mix knob!
Legend!!
4 is straight gold. Never thought of that.
i freaking love this puppet
creating gaps/drops in specific areas
- copy whatever empty of bars you want
- highlight the section you want to make a gap in
- right click above the arrangement numbers, to click on "Paste Time"
saves time to make time :)
well well well. you are the realest puppet in the game :)
If you right click on the stereo balance button. "C" then you can change it to a stereo panorama mod. Helps in arranging instruments in a stereo field
dope!
awesome
Group an instrument, duplicate and add an effect (verb/delay) at 100% on the duplicate. This gives you a wet and dry version. Add the wet amount to taste. Voila = basically a return track right on the channel strip. You can even sidechain the wet signal to the dry signal if needed. Learned that from KSHMR and used it religiously ever since.
You should rather group the effect and create a chain in the FX group with no fx on it. It's the same result, but you don't need to duplicate the instrument, which saves CPU.
Wow, thanks.
EPIC !!!!
This is the dopest puppet in the game no doubt
I lmao every time there is those commercials
i love you!
Floppy trash cracked my ass up, great vid
I’ve been using ableton forever and I still use the info window as a healthy reminder as to why I picked that one lol.
Naw that whole loops ad killed me 😂
very helpful - subbo'd
Thanks puppet
on Master track I use Unility for on/off Mono by pressing "m" button on keyboard
and Pink noise plugin on/off with button " ' " for balancing volumes.
only thing that I hate in Ableton that it is very easy overwrite tracks when Rec is on.
hey reid! love your tutorials man. Do you know where that first sample you use is from? I actually bought all 3 raw hits packs but I couldn't find it :(
I don't care who you are, the ability to drag and drop pieces of older tracks is the best part of this video period.
the multi plugin windows! :OO
Instead of doing a 'key command' set up for recording every time you open a new session, you could 'Save Current Set as Default' in preferences, and then it will always be there. I also have learned that automating the arrows to skip between markers really speeds up my mixing work flow.
Hello. I set up a "home recording studio" in the living room. I use Ableton 10 Live Lite and the external audio interface Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6. I would be very grateful for your advice. . . I managed to record some audio tracks through the styles in my Yamaha psr-s970 keyboard and vocals. Somehow I adjusted it so that it had dynamism and the recording didn't sound very amateurish. Unfortunately, after many attempts to export the entire project to a certain format, the volume is always significantly reduced, the effects and dynamics also fall down. . . I can't handle it. When I run the project in Ableton, it plays well. I hope you understand my English. Greetings from Czech Republic (Czechia) Thumbs up for your videos.
Lol never even thought of getting rid of that global overview at the top b4, it does clean up the session
Thank you for these tips. What about Vst 3 plugins, do we really need them on? I have everything on Vst 2.
Thank you! Would be nice to have Windows shortcuts written as well.
I mean, they work the same way and I understand which ones to use. But it would be simpler for the ones who didn't use both systems before
Ableton 😍
Thank you so much!! your tutorial is always amazing!!
i am trying to fade multiple tracks after watching this tutorial, but my windows system reacts to the shortcut(winbutton+alt+f) as windows own shortcut(some weird feedback page pops up instead) so i think the shortcut button is probably different on windows. anybody knows how to use multiple fading shortcut on windows ...? please help me..
