My hair does that when I get braids too! Freaks me ALL the way out as well , but they say we’re supposed to lose hair daily and I guess from not combing or brushing for weeks when we have braids it just comes out with that wash following taking them out. Thanks for sharing your hair regimen💜
Hey, thanks for watching! Yeah, I'm used to that, but this was an abnormal amount of hair loss, which is a side effect many people experience after having Covid.

That amount of hair that came out is because even though your hair was in braids it still does it’s normal daily shedding, it just stays there though but it’s no longer attached, so when you take your braids out and comb it all off the shedding that occurred for however many days while your hair was braided can now come out but you didn’t lose any additional hair love
You have beautiful hair and like you said hair is pretty different for everyone. I have one sister that has similar hair density and curl pattern where as my hair is very fine and coarse.

My hair is similar to yours & I lost so much hair when I took out my knotless braids last month. Whew that shit made a thug shed a few tears. My hair is so much thinner & I’m actually scared to get braids again. Thank you so much for sharing!

Beautiful!!!❤️ - also, According to the American Academy of Dermatologists, it’s normal to lose anywhere from 50 to 100 strands of hair per day. So with it being braided it cannot come out with the normal daily combing/brushing...it comes all out after you take your braids out. So, it's not the braids...it's our daily hair shedding.
Thank you. I'm aware our hair is suppose to shed, I wear my hair in braids at least 3-4 times a year. This shedding was abnormal for my hair.
It’s an accumulation of the hair that would’ve shed daily but couldn’t because you had braids. It happens to me too, so I only get braids in the summer when the hair is less prone to shedding.
I just purchased the Red by Kiss dryer from Walmart yesterday, and it is a lifesaver. Will wand my hair when I return from my walk.

My hair is very similar to yours. My method is the same the only difference is I use a detangling brush when blowdrying because I break every single blow dryer comb so I gave up 😫

My hair does the same after braids. I’ve been told that your chai is supposed to naturally shed daily. So because it’s in a protective style, that doesn’t happen. When we take braids down that’s the result. Still, even with knowing this, my heart be hurt. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your hair’s GORGEOUS! :-) I just have one question about pin curling...Whenever I pin curl, my hair gets indentations/lines from the Bobby pins. Does that happen to yours? Or am I doing something wrong when I pin curl? *Thanks SO much for sharing your hair care routine with us!
