After a super luxurious business class flight from London to Singapore with British Airways, we’ve somewhat managed to sleep despite the jet lag so that we can get up early to enjoy a full day in Singapore! From a classic kopi to start the day, all the way to finishing off the day with a dish we somehow missed the last time we visited Singapore, the chilli crab, and everything else in between! A visit to Singapore wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Marina Bay Sands, loads of delicious foods at a hawker centre, and lovely weather!

Thank you for watching! Watch our amazing business class flight from the UK to Singapore if you haven't already: czcams.com/video/8gCq04Xqtuw/video.html 😍
Welcome back 👏🏻👏🏻 the crab is a right portion for two. I loved the mess that was on the table cos it shows that u enjoyed our local dish 😋😂
That’s not true as a child in high school was always taught walk up the left and stand on left ! We used to get shouted at by prefects if we were on wrong side of stairs ! And this has been inbrained into me at nearly 50 years old !
Hopefully, one day you will visit China, China is beautiful and fun, Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing, Xi'an, and Guangzhou are all very cool places, check them out
Oh my god, I love that you both got recognised. How cool was that. Just goes to show you that your videos are reaching far and wide ❤
Hehe it’s always a fun surprise 😍
There's actually lots of places to have chilli crabs in SG, some of them much cheaper & pretty popular too 😅
They gave you the small crab so it's fine for 2 people 😊
Do not worry about the mess, it's the enjoyment that counts! 😅😊
Hehehe the messier the more enjoyment, we’re telling ourselves 😅
@geniegal78 What are the names of these cheaper chili crabs? We will be there next month. Thanks
@@pbfloyd9b oh welcome back to SG! You can try
Keng Eng Kee Seafood @ Alexandra Village
124 Bukit Merah Lane 1, #01-136, Singapore 150124
They are popular amongst the local, just ask for the small crab for 2 people, maybe you can try in other flavor too. ☺️
They have also few popular well known dishes if you want to try.
@@geniegal78 Thanks for the recommendation!
Dear Dylan and Adriana, welcome back to Singapore! I really enjoy your presentation style, you guys are very down to earth and cheerful, and you exude so much joy when you are sharing what you see with everyone. Your videos around Asia captured the essence and energy of our region. Have a great trip this time round! Hope you make many return visits to Singapore and Asia :D
Thank you so much 😍🤗 Woho!
That small tiny chilli you had with the Ban Mian is called Chilli Padi and it’s really spicy. Most local wouldn’t add it into the dish directly. It’s usually put in a separate saucer and add some light soy sauce to use as dip for certain dishes. I think one thing you guys can check out if you are coming back again is the ‘chilli culture’ in Singapore and Malaysia. We have so many different ways of making our chilli (some blend with garlic, some with blachan, some with onions and many more), and each different local food, we used a specific type of chilli sauce/dip. An easy example is, you can never eat chicken rice with Char Kuey teow chilli n vice versa. So chilli padi is not a banmian thingy technically.
Hahah it was so spicy 😅😅
You took the chilli padi, that's the one that was killing you. It's the small and innocuous cut chilli you scooped into the dish. 😅 I was like OMG he's going to suffer from the spiciness as you scooped them into your dish at the stall.
Hahaha it was very very spicy 😅🌶️😂
I can't get enough of these long videos, keep em coming please :)
Wohoo! Glad you like them 😍
Welcome back to Singapore!! And you guys are doing great with the crab!!
Woho! So happy to be back 😍 and I cannot believe we missed out on chili crab last time - it’s incredible!!
Gotta love you two for your food & restaurant experiences ❤ Great to see you guys back in Asia so that we can experience it through your videos 😊Thanks for taking us along and cannot wait for your next adventures:)

You're my favorite vlogger couple 🥰 thank you for featuring Singapore again ❣️🇹🇼 it brings back so many wonderful memories. I love this place soooooo much and I miss visiting that beautiful country. Thank you so much!! 😍😊 Oh yes, we get just as excited every time we head back! ❤️ Such a nice place
Lovely happy vlog...thought the little note from the children was just so cool, little incidents like that really make exploring other lands and cultures so special. Enjoy your time in Singapore🙂

Food looks yummy xx Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 from Australia 🦘🌏
Merry Christmas 😍🎄❤️
I finally went to Singapore in May for the first time. I watched your first trip there and it was helpful. I did end up spending 2 nights at MBS just because I don't expect to be in Singapore for a long time since it's so far away. I did pick a package with included breakfast. If you ever stay there, this package is cheaper than buying it separate. The buffet up top next to the pool I thought was amazing especially with the food, cool breeze and yummy food.
My gf and I want to go back someday. Most likely once we're married!
Oh that’s amazing!! We would love to one day, but it’s so costly 😅😅 we will work towards it because it sounds amazing!!
it's lovely to see you guys are back to Asia
We are so happy to be back! 😍
Wonderful to be back in Singapore - hehe, us viewers too! ;-) I loved the video, so informative and beautiful and the fantastic crab meal blew my mind! I WANT THAT TOO!
Glad you enjoyed it! ❤️
Merry Christmas and safe travels as always, Dylan and Adriana, from us in Metro Manila, the Philippines :) Have fun!
Happy holidays 😍🙏🏼❤️
19:33 That part of the F1 track has been removed since last year mainly because they are building a Museum about National Service.
So nice to have you 2 lovely guys back in Singapore! But go easy with the fresh cut chillies, the smaller the more feisty lol. The portion of the crab is good for 2. Honestly I would enjoy chilli crabs more without the gloves, but that's how it is in a restaurant which gives you an option. Enjoy yourselves for the next!
Hahaah I think next time we’d like to eat the chili crab in a sterile bathtub so we could just dive in 😂😍

That’s brilliant! We hope you get great use out of it, it’s been so helpful for us! 🙏🏼 Have a brilliant time!
Welcome to my country ! Had been watching your channel since the Thailand COVID era
I love how you put the prices of everything in other currencies! It’s so useful to see what Singapore dollars equate to in GBP!
Happy to hear it! 🤗 thank you for watching!
I love how Adriana stepped out and was like enjoying the heat 😂 it’s like my exact reaction when I go for a winter holiday and I step out feeling the cold 😂😂😂
Hahahah no way 😂😍
Eateries such as Lau Pa Sat and that restaurant at the Esplanade are where clueless tourists get their meals at "touristy" prices. There are many hawker centres in neighborhood areas next to MRTs that offer the same or better but at prices about 30% cheaper. Singapore is so small and well-connected by MRT that I feel tourists can afford to be more venturesome and explore the outer regions without ever getting lost.
This is just where we went in the video. We have been to plenty of places off camera 😄 yes it’s a bit over priced, but like you said, you need mrt which the cost adds up
@2Passports1Dream yes u missed the other better neighbourhood areas such as Joo Chiat. Its a Peranakan influenced buildings on the street with good cafes. Tourists tend to focus too much on Marina Bay Sands.
Plenty of locals eat there too. Tourists are unfamiliar, not clueless so mind your language.
Hi Guys, I enjoy your video very much, thank you for coming back 2nd time to SG. Do take note if at Raffle Place or La Pa Sat. These are CBD area(Central Bussiness District) and Marina Bay area(popular tour area), do expects to be pricy. However at your hotel location nearby there are also some less pricy restaurant for chilli crab and you miss the Peranakan food/culture that you can explore along Joo Chiat Road/East Coast Road by public bus/mrt/walking. (End of part 1)
Lots of locals eat at Lao Pa Sat, especially the office workers at raffles place. I’m one of them!
Welcome Back To Singapore. I wish both of you a Merry Christmas. I really want to go to Universal Studios. Number 6 looks delicious and I can here your voice while eating and absolutely must be spicy. I though I would see so much more Christmas like most of Asia, specially Tokyo. Congrats on getting the last table. Absolutely love crab and looks so yummy. 2 Words Absolutely Outstanding. PS I am behind on your Videos
Thank you so much 😍❤️
next time u can go capital spring at raffles place u can go like marina bay sand & pinnacle condo at cantoment road

Thank you so much! Merry Christmas 😍🤗
that not the F1 track ..is our floating platform under renovation to NS SQUARE , same as merlion under renovation .
Wow, that crab looked delectable, yum! 🤗💞
So good 😍😍
Stayed at Marina Bay for 2 nights just a few months ago and although it's expensive, it's worth making other sacrifices to stay there. The infinity pool is worth every penny! Don't know how I hadn't found your channel before, but you two have me hooked on your content!
Oh no way!! Ok now we really feel like we have to stay there at some point 😍 thank you!
Chili crab is perfect for 2 people you guys did well haha! It's a famous messy dish so don't worry about it.
Hehe thank you!!! 😍
Dylan and Adriana, please plan a visit to Mainland China! Would love to see the city through your lenses! I don't if you have done anything on the edit, but the color palette of this vlog is incredible!!
We are planning china this year when it warms up 😃. Wow thank you! We do slight color edits but nothing major 😄
You can order rice or extra bread-To finish the sauce-It’s much cheaper- If you go into the Heartland of Singapore- Like in Pubic Estates - Toa Payoh or Tampines - The price will be less 50%
Oh gosh you're both back!
And great to see you have more budget to try our chili crab, it's perfectly normal to have a messy aftermath when you're having crab. Luckily you insisted on Sri Lankan mudcrab. $191 is rather steep but not a ripoff considering you ate in a restaurant downtown so not to worry.
Woho! Oh we are so happy to hear that haha! Good 😍 it was absolutely DELICIOUS! 🦀
@@2Passports1Dream
Locals who dine there would pay the same price too, so rest assured you are not paying well above although I must say it's abit on the pricey side. Red House is a well known restaurant, best known for their crabs. You know it's a good one when the crab meat is firm and tender and not soft and watery. Normally, we locals eat it with our bare fingers where we can have a firm grip on the crab. Then it becomes finger licking good 😀😋
Eating chili crab is quite an experience, I must say! It is a messy affair. Restaurants like these are really expensive. But you can also find quite good ones at some hawker centres, and a lot cheaper! Enjoy your time here in Singapore!
It was so worth the experience 😍😍
I went wow when I heard you pronouncing "kopi tiam". It is absolutely on point.
Hehe yay! Happy to hear it 😍☕️
At Raffles Place, where you got off the MRT, there is the CapitaSpring building which is higher than Marina Bay Sands, has beautiful cool gardens to sit in or wander, fantastic views and, is free. Unlike the viewing deck of MBS which costs, is hot and there is nowhere to sit 😊
Oh wow!! We had no idea - thank you for the info 😍
BTW the one that you pointed out and mentioned the F1 track that was doing some work, it's actually not the F1 track. It's the Marina Floating Platform. Where we usually had our National Day Parades held there. The F1 pit is actually on the other side =)
Oh interesting!! Thank you!
Glad to see and enjoyed your clip. Just reach out whenever you want to clarify anything about Singapore.
Awesome, thank you!
As a local who worked in F&B scene
The high price of chilli crab that you had paid for is highly due to it’s location n scenery, IMOHO, not the best brand for famous Chili crab yet.
I will like to recommend you
The following restaurants
For chilli crab dish
1) Sentosa Blue Lotus restaurant,
2) Jumbo seafood restaurant, 3) Tunglok Seafood, 4) Red house seafood and lastly the original chili crab creator Roland Restaurant in Marine Parade area
And yes, that dish can be for 2person (do go for sri lankan crab n if they allow you to chose the size , for two person chose between 800-900gm will do ) if you are here again. 😊
Welcome back guys...good to see you guys back here..fyi..the crab shell is not decorative..there is a nice part underneath that shell..and thats super ex crab you guys had there but only because its an expensive restaurant..there are other places way cheaper ranging $30-$80 too..have fun exploring 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!! 😍 Duly noted for next time!! 🤗
The nice part under the shell is the crab roe if it's a female crab. Many crab lovers look out for it and specially ask for it.
No one has mentioned Ibis Ruby is located in Geylang, the "red light" district!
The even numbered streets/lorongs, ie Geylang Lorong 20 were/are where most of the "houses" are located. The odd number streets are where numerous eateries are located.
Some people have mentioned it! We didn’t really see anything untoward 😅 we only really saw the food haha!
Maybe you can go to East Coast seafood lagoon for cheaper chilli crab and have a stroll by the beach next time. There are a few stalls that sell chilli crabs.
Oh thank you for the recommendation 😍
You can get chilli crab cheeper at Lau pa sat.
You should disembark Bayshore MRT station directly at MBS mall and red house seafood is one of my favourite ❤️
Thank you for the recommendation 😄
I love red restaurant chili crab, their soup is also good. Depends on how much you love crabs, 2 pax for that size is still ok. Usually my family order 1 crab for 1 person haha.
Hahaha we couldn’t imagine another whole crab 😂😂🦀

Welcome 🎉 to Singapore
Thank you so much 😍
U should try Yakub kaya butter toast and the soy coffee next time they are reallllllly good
If you eat food with spicy slice chilli, you can scrape it aside. It affects your taste if you can't handle the raw chili slices.😊
I like your pronunciation of “Merlion”. It sounds fancy 😀 Thanks for the video!
Hehe thank you 😊
Hey Dylan the chilli you added in the noodle was chilli paddi, which is super spicy.
Hehe that explains it 😅🌶️
The F1 track has been realigned while the area is being reconstructed.. since 2023, the cars no longer go under the stands, round the front before going back under the stands back onto the main road
There’s a couple of famous crab places near your hotel in Geylang.
Oh we’ve seen a few, I wonder what the price difference would be 😅
hahahaha....MerLion.....welcome to Singapore. Raffles Place is the Business District🙂....and the chilli crab was definitely the icing on the cake......🙂
Thank you 🤗🤗
A tip about the leftover sauce.. order a bowl of white rice, put the rice and saice in the shell and mix. Chillicrab rice!
That is an AMAZING idea! We did think about doing something like that but were both SO FULL 😅
Usually restaurants will allow you to take away the remaining leftover chilli crab sauce if do want to eat it still. Even though the chilli crab is well known i would recommend you to try the black pepper crab as well as i personally prefer it more than chilli crab 😊.
Ooooh next time! 😍
One crab each for my wife and me. One chilli and one black pepper. Black pepper is my personal fav
Oh amazing! 😍 wow we couldn’t polish off two, maybe next time we will have to try those!
By any chance, did you try the soft-boiled eggs as part of the morning breakfast with the kaya butter toast?
I am curious to find out your views on our Singaporean breakfast soft-boiled eggs.
In case you were wondering, The Merlion is closed for routine maintenance, which is carried out every 2 to 3 months.
Oh the maintenance is that often?? We had no idea 🤗 but of course, it makes total sense why it’s so bright white and looking brand new otherwise haha!
We did actually try the soft boiled egg another morning and it wasn’t our favourite, but I think we ate it wrong? 😅😅 I ate the toast first and separately from the egg! 😂 oops!
@@2Passports1Dream Yes, the maintenance is needed to keep the Merlion and its water system in an excellent state.
About the soft-boiled eggs, from what I know and see, most locals would mix up the runny yolk with the runny white with the pepper and soy sauce that the stall provides. Then locals like to dip the Kaya Toast into the runny egg mix. I personally like to eat the soft-boiled eggs first. I will consume the runny yolks whole without breaking, then mix the remaining egg white with just soy sauce. After finishing the eggs, I will proceed to eat the toast with the drink.
I am not sure and I am curious to know, is it due to food safety concerns that such a preparation of soft-boiled eggs is not found outside of Asia (e.g. Europe, UK, USA)?
@@JSimHZ
As a Singaporean, soft runny egg is not my preferred breakfast meal. I find it squeamish.
@@khenglim sorry for replying so late. Sure, no problem. I do understand that half-boiled egg may not be liked by everyone. I was just curious about foreigners having a tendency to stay away from consuming half-boiled eggs in Singapore, because it is commonly found in breakfast sets.
Come to Singapore hotel boss is a 4 star hotel and lots of delicious food
Welcome back to Singapore
Thank you ❤️🙏🏼
Today because the weather so I can see the best sunset on Halong bay
Hi you two - new subscriber here (having found you a few weeks ago) really enjoying your videos - very professional, so informative and entertaining. Your trip to Singapore and OZ is quite coincidental as myself (Kev) and my partner (Alison) will be doing a bucket list holiday in five weeks time (three nights in Singapore - four nights in Sydney - then a eleven night cruise around NZ) Our business flights will be with Singapore Airways for the first time (from LHR - SIN & SIN - SYD) It will be interesting see see how they compare. Thanks so much for the link to the Currensea card - we will be using that (is there no conversion fee ?) and thank you again for your tour around the Raffles Square area and particularly the crab restaurant you went to. DAFT QUESTION - is it possible to order food that isn't so spicy, as Ali & I can only take so much spice (!) ? Also, how are you getting along JET LAG wise ? Is it just a case of getting on with it and ignoring the fact you are dog tired ? We are not as young as you guys so it might take a bit of extra effort Whats your top tips ? Anyway keep on doing what you do. You are making YOU TUBE a better place. SAFE & HAPPY TRAVELS. Kev & Ali
This trip sounds amazing guys! Singapore business class is way above BA. You will have an amazing time. With the Currensea, there is a tiny exchange fee (same as other cards) but you don’t have the non sterling fee which can add up! For the jet lag, I would say try preparing your sleep patterns before you get here, sleep earlier every night. When you get here try taking some sleep aids if you can’t sleep at normal times. You can get them from any shop like Watsons in Singapore. It took us about a week to get over it fully! Thank you for the lovely comment! Enjoy your trip 😍
@@2Passports1Dream thanks for the reply . . and the jet lag tips. How about the spicy question please?
Sorry missed that one! Yes you can order no spicy. Many dishes are spicy naturally.. and wouldn’t be the same without spice, so maybe try one with less spicy. You can always get dishes non spicy. Our next video is a food video with all non spicy food 😀
Yes, you can always manage the spiciness by letting the seller know. Do not douse your food with all the chilli sauces as it will surely add to the spiciness.
Waiting you guys come back to Bangkok ❤
Soon hehe 😍
Chay Kueh keow us too much Might be medium 13:17 portion . I think the hawker never give much chillies
I asked for small hehe! 🤗🤗
You need to order white rice to top it up with the chilli sauce.
helllo miss you here in the Philippines ❤️🇵🇭 we hope you can comeback in dry season🙏⛱️
Hehe when would be best to come back? 👀😍
march to may dry season it's summer 🌞❤⛱️😎
@@MarcusSmart21 hehe perfect - 👀 we will have to take a trip then!!
That crab...
Oh amazing 😍😍😍 haha we will be missing Swedish julmat 🤗
On crab, and portions: A medium sized crab, about 1kg, similar to what you guys got, is good for between 2 to 4 pax, depending on how much crab you want to eat, though an enthusiast could definitely devour an entire crab if they weren't eating much else. The good thing about splitting it between just 2 people is that each person gets 1 claw :)
I think if there wasn’t SO MUCH sauce we wouldn’t have struggled with the crab, but wow - I feel like we needed 1 more person (next time we will have to bring someone to show us how it’s done 😂😅)
@@2Passports1Dream
For less sauce, try black pepper crab. It's my personal favorite as chilli sauce tend to mask the true flavor of crab.
You can also ask for half to be cooked in chili, and half in some other flavour. Butter is good. Gam heong is also good.
Oh yeah, most restaurants you can ask for a nutcracker to crack the crab.
Most foreigners don't know this.
Asia misses you both!! Come back!
Hehehe definitely 😍😍
What a cute couple❤
❤️❤️
Made me so hungry😂
😍😍
as a singaporean i hate the heat. It makes walking undoable because within 5 minutes im drenched in sweat. I enjoy so much walking even when its freezing like -5c because at least i can walk.

So true. The grass is always greener and opposite attracts. 😅
Chilli crabs in the suburbs for a similar sized crab in a hawker setting will be about between $80-$120 . Just for info 😅
Oh wow!! Next time 😍🦀

Thank you for sharing your video vlog awesome ....2/03/2024
Usually I would scoop the chilli crab sauce in a spoon and then place a small piece of bun on it. This way you will not have so much sauce remaining, Chilli crab is an expensive dish so much finish every bit of it! Lol
Next time this will be our method 😍🦀
@@2Passports1Dream , Black Pepper Crab is also awesome 🤩

What's the usual dinner time in the uk? In the USA it is 6 pm, thus asking.
In the U.K. it’s also around 6pm at home, but usually somewhat later if you’re heading out to a restaurant. In a lot of other countries it can be somewhat later. For example, Singapore it seems to be more 7/8 pm 😊
I love crab you lucky people. 🦀you
