- A dream vacation in Hawaii turned into a nightmare for a Lehi family whose toddler is now battling for his life after developing a sudden and rare heart condition.

Happened to a friend’s nephew about 15 years ago. He ended up having a transplant and passed away about 10 later. I can’t remember how old he was at the time , but he was young. The Dr.’s said it was a virus. Very scary to think that your life can change so fast.

So glad they paid attention to his symptoms! Viruses are easily fought by most kids. A small percent don’t. My family learned this many years ago. Many Doctors are more aware of these things now, thank goodness. I’m praying for his continued improvement.

That's a lot of medical lines and tubes for such a small little body. We pray that the little one fights the battle to win. It is great to see community members supporting the family. I don't think people realise how much support means to a family in a crisis like this. Prayers to the mom and dad from South Africa.

@crescentjones5612 I don't know why you would think that. The little boy would have been too young. I had all my Covid vaccines, as did nearly all my friends. None of us have any issues. Ironically, the one pal who refused to have the vaccine, died a horrendous death from Covid. That served as a warning to many. You conspiracy theorists are the worst.

@lori0319 I think you got a little confused. It doesn't matter what causes myocarditis(ot can be caused by so many things). It could be covid, vaccine, other health impairments etc..etc. but all myocarditis statistics are the same on how deadly it is to a person once they have it. Maybe you meant you have less of a chance of getting it if you get the disease and not the vaccine?? Not sure what you meant. Just know that once you have it, your chances are the same as anyone else who gets it. myocarditis is not just caused by covid or it's vaccines and the stats on it are equal no matter how you get it.

Wonder if they tested him for Kawasaki Disease? My now 45 yr old son, contacted it while playing in my Mothers back yard at age 6! It attacked his heart also, but the anecdote was/is:

@@judithzimmerman3318 My 5 year old boy came down with Kawasaki Disease when he was 7 months old. It’s a scary thing!! Sorry you had to go through this also. He was sick with bronchiolitist two times in a row then RSV then came down with Kawasaki Disease he was in the
PICU for 5 days they treated him on day 10 of his extremely high fever’s with IVIG then kept him on baby aspirin for a couple of months. So beyond grateful it didn’t hurt his heart! They did 3 sedated echo cardiogram’s and so far been good. I also have a form of Vasculitis. Super crazy that he does and me.

I praise you Lord Jesus for answering prayers. Exactly, people are still catching covid where I live. The symptoms may be milder, but the long term side effects still remain the same.
