I definitely get what you mean about the kids noticing little things. I waved my hair with my straightener the other day and they kept asking if I was wearing a wig and what happened to my hair 😂😂
Love the hair cut! When I got married seven years ago, I started at social security to start the name change thing and then did drivers license. I don’t think it matters if ya do passport or drivers license next. I did my passport after my drivers license. Depends on your bank but mine wanted a marriage license to prove name change as well. I’m not an elementary teacher, but I know someone who teaches 3rd grade and I hear her talk about how her students have learned all sorts of things, good and bad, that never would’ve been age appropriate for an 8 or 9 year old of my generation to know about back then. It’s all so overwhelming…and worrying. It could take years, decades, before we know what all the side effects of exposing all these children to iPads, cell phones, the internet, etc. from a very young age can be. But no one wants to hear that right now. Like a bunch of pioneers, racing towards the edges of the frontier without knowing about the bears in the mountains…
as fellow teachers, may I ask if parents often contact you after working hours to ask random things about their kids? Because some parents text me all the time, even at night time 😓
for me, i teach lower elementary and at the start of the year i told parents my window for response time is school hours as well as 1 hour before/after school and 24 hours maximum. now i rarely get messages outside of that window
