Im nowhere near as rich as Jay. But i got a lil paper. Im living good and got some money coming in. I have to tell family and friends "no" all the time. My older cousin asked to borrow $10,000 for this property to invest in. I asked him "when is the last time you had 10k in your hands". He told me "man that aint shit, i had 10k a few months ago" an then I asked him "what did you do with it" maaaaaaan that boy all of sudden had a stuttering problem. They cant do right with their own money, fuck you think they will do with your money? Going to trick it off and try to use blood as a way out of paying. Im good. I was born at night, not last night
Okay!🙌🏽
@@user-ye4bu6xh4cAnd this is Facts 💯
They were roasting Hov for not helping a hypothetical cousin. Social media is filled with morons.
This ☝🏾
Yes, it was hypothetical, but people can't still have an opinion on it.
@@wilsonmatt781and sometimes that opinion is moronic.
Yup. Crazy…When he was on Howard stern show years ago and said he does give his family money. He said his sister handles the requests.
People are really entitled these days. Im not giving nobody shit for nothing. I don’t care how much money I got. You come to me during normal business hours , instead of in my grandma living room, with a plan and contract in place about how imma get my money back then we can talk. aint shit free but air.
nigga expecting every family member to be the next berry gordy 😂
I know exactly what to do, would never ask Jay more than once! Where’s my rich cousin!
This isn’t just in celebrity rich ppl life. This shit goes on in middle class life as well. Family just always feels so entitled. Once ppl in your family know u got more money than them on a usual consistent basis, you’re always going to be considered as the ace in their pocket whenever they need money. They expect u to be a bank whenever they need financial assistance.
Bro he's a billiona 2 times over. Normally I would agree with you but at that level of wealth all his siblings cousins and their kids could all be millionaires and it would barely make a dent in his wealth
@@cnsmoothDo you know how many multi millionaire lottery winners go broke in a year or two?? When people don’t work for it, they think it comes easily! If he gives them 1 million, and they’re broke in 6 months, because it was given to them, and they don’t know how to manage it….Then what? Is he supposed to give them another million, just because he’s a billionaire?? Jay Z is the person you ask for game & opportunity, not money! Emory, TyTy, Rel… are all proof!
@@cnsmooth I think the main focus of the it is money management. Family still has to prove why whatever financial favor or investment they’re asking for makes sense, just like a stranger would have to prove. You can’t just give somebody or even family money just because they want it. If he always did that that wouldn’t be conducive to him financially.
@chanelrobinson4089 again he's a multi billionaire. All that good stuff is irrelevant. Those people don't need to work again for the rest of their lives Mone management doesn't come into it, and you're also talking about these people like they are children
@@cnsmooth yea I am .. alotta ppl do act like children. Surprise lol
He never said he doesn't ...he just said he doesn't inflate false dreams and quick money scams because someone in the family has money😂

Facts I hate how everyone reaching for clout when he didn’t even say this smh
The point JayZ is trying to make is imagine if he had to give money to everyone who asked him for it. It don’t work like that, whether it’s 4K or 400. People look at him like a walking ATM when he’s there to spend time with his family
Nah bruh 4500? That's weird Ida been like ima cashapp u
I saw a tweet that basically said that his cousin asking Jay for 4,500 is like you asking someone who makes 50,000 a year for a dime, he's just a stingy ass hole who can't rap better than Nas.
4800 hundred to Jay z is like asking someone worth 10000 giving someone 20 cents

Facts
I can’t believe people continue to actually miss what he said. Context was clear.
Came to say this. Purposely missing the point to have content smh
Doesn't matter TBH..if you're that wealthy.. your whole family should be on already.. and that's the difference between black families and other ethnicities..it'll take just 20 billion to end homelessness in America which is about 582,000..so imagine how little it'll take just to put your family on .. which is probably no more than 250 ppl
@@nikibf28 It does matter otherwise you make comments like this. 😂 Did you watch the video? Catch the bit about learning how to manage money? Why are you assuming this cousin hasn’t already been put on & isn’t now circling back. Especially since Jay has been rich for a while now & clearly this cousin felt comfortable enough to come to him to begin with. You know what…never mind. You got it. 😂👌🏽

The wisest thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that don't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in gold, silver, and digital currencies (BTC, ETH...)
Bitcoin has been the most profitable investment online. If only you can trade with a professional broker that will work you through the process needed.
Great, I just Googled her info, and everything about her is pretty great and awesome
Having a pro mentoring you is very
important when it comes to trading.
Just follow his/her instructions
I just bought myself a new model Tesla car just a few weeks ago after starting trading with Mrs Deborah Clark. She is a great lady.
never thought investing in crypto would this
profitable until i met Fx mam Deborah Lee Clark
Only Jay Z really knows his family well enough to know if it's worth him investing in any of them. Maybe the cousin has a drug habit or alcoholic and it's difficult to trust the guy will not use that money for drugs etc. If I had that wealth and a genuine family member or friend who had a good business idea and it was a dream of theirs, I'd certainly help. But you have people who don't want to help themselves regardless.
Well said
Truthfully it shouldnt matter. If they are close enough to be sat in the same room at family functions they shouldnt even need business plans. They should all be thousandaires if not millionnaires. I dont think people truly understand how much a billion really is.
If that's the case I understand. Even so invest in his healing, God will bless him for that.... if God is in his heart.
Why would you assume his black family member was a drug addict or alcoholic?
Then why not make that more clear? Spread that message instead of being vague and saying something like "it doesn't work that way." If you're going to leave something into public interpretation, don't be surprised when people, who don't know/care about you, immediately assume the worst.
Getting business advice from these dudes is like watching a live circus. 😂
I mean Joe is running a fairly successful business is he not? I don't know about the rest of em.
Ish is doing and was doing construction as an owner before the podcast
I hope you’re doing more than them
Where did they go wrong. I bet $4800 you can't articulate yourself...
Joe it’s been a min love the insightful coverage entertaining AF 😎
Creating a family fund with boundaries is a good idea. I would hire someone certified to manage and provide quarterly reports. Need to know if the requests are abused or stewarded.
If yall don’t get the new pod up 😂😂😂
The fact is that if you give someone money; especially someone who’s not used to money, they’re not going to invest it; they’re not going to utilize it properly; they’re going to spend it flippantly, and eventually - without fail - they will come back and ask you for more.
Come with a business plan, a PROPER business play, come with your own capital already, come with the seeds of success already sewn and THEN say “hey man, I’m RIGHT HERE, I just need a push”. Then sure, we can talk business.
But just lending you business on the strength of family? That ain’t it, fam. Why should a man give a way a million dollars to someone just because he’s a billionaire? That’s insane. Come with a plan. Show that you have your shit together.
Lol I thought I had pressed OLS4 by mistake with the way Joe started off wit that "Tell Me....."
3:56 nuff said be a blessing!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
i gotta say , yall got some of the best audio in the business!
It may just be me but I really think the point is, you CANNOT flip $4800 into $2B dollars because if this "hypothetical" cousin had the skillset to do so, he would not be asking AND money literally does not work like that.
And if they common sense, they would know it’s not possible, and wouldn’t ask! Basically saying, because he has money to spare, he should be boo boo the fool and “invest” in their nonsense!
Wait…. It’s Thursday. No JBP???
I'm wondering the same
I'm so happy I found Joe's podcast this is hilarious😂😂😂
😂 wtf you been?
I just gave my homie $50 bc he needed it. I have $60k in the bank. So I gave him .08% of what I had. If Jay Z had $100m and he gave $4500 that would be .004%.
Money doesn’t “work” by itself. People have money and make it work how they want. If I had $100M every single family member and most close friends will never have to work again.
Well maybe this is why you don't have 100 million
Black people always rapping about making it getting rich and taking care of they’re families but as soon as it happens they say it doesn’t work that way 😂😂😂😂
I know right😂
U can't say that about this situation.Hes referring to the ppl who just want money with no goal as expects to just keep getting money bruh
It’s a difference between trying to better your family and being mooched off.
Hov ain't never say he takes care of the family members
Difference between mom and dad as opposed to greeting cuzins..good try

These women were really on it during this episode. They are highly intelligent and thoughtful individuals. As for the topic, I could pass someone a few dollars. Even if I explained to them that that moment was not the time to discuss matters. I would break my cousins (that I mess with like that) off with some bread. It's what I've always done.
I get if you’re rich then the sharks will expose themselves and start switching on you, but Jay Z is a billionaire. He has enough wealth that he can’t spend in 100 lifetimes. If one of your peoples asks for money then just give it u bozo stop trying to turn everything into a philosophical lesson. It’s so corny

Listen, my family gave me this same energy when I started my business. Before I even turned a profit. Giving to your family because of entitlement is not the solution. Setting them up to succeed may be more realistic. Maybe send them a credit repair and financial literacy coach.
Because his cousin is going to take that $4,500 and go buy a chain and some Jordans
At 7 minutes and 34 seconds sounds like she talking about child support to me lol
IF JAY-Z IS MY COUSIN, IM ASKING HIM FOR A JOB AND ADVICE…THAT WAY I CAN MAKE “4,500” DAILY 🤷🏾♂️
I know personally how things go when ur financially stable (regular ppl financially stable) & u GIVE family money for all their “IDEAS” & I also know what it’s like when that money runs out & those ideas DONT work.
Facts. Sometimes they never really had an idea to begin with. The likelihood of actually making a play with $4800 is slim to none.
Competent family members should be the first to be invested in. At the same time I’m not investing just because you are family
Competence is a low bar. If you are older than me or close to the same age and you weren’t on a path prior to my success, don’t magically expect me to build your path for you. Y’all take nepotism too far. Why would I do the same for a cousin that I would for my own mother and sisters and May nieces and nephews, my kids etc? He takes care of HIS family.
Just because a person has billions, doesn't mean they owe anyone anything.
Smfh they should want to help the less fortunate
Yea he do if he my cousin or brother who came from the mud with me oh yea fool pop me off help me wtf that stingy and cringe
@@sirreact6737 If that person is trying, of course. I'm speaking of those random, distant family members looking for handouts.
@sirreact6737 He financially contributes to the less fortunate all the time. Look it up. That's what leads me to believe that if he didn't financially help out a family member, there's a good reason for that.
We talking about family members. The way I see it , if he in your grandma living room and im a billionaire , Im giving you that 5k even if you just gon go and waste it .Think about it.Thats like your little cousin asking you for 10 bucks
I have mixed feelings. One on hand I don't think people should be entitled. But on the other hand, I think if you become a billionaire, it's reasonable to look out for family. I'd be giving them money as a gift. It obviously wouldn't be a regular thing, but I'd look out where I can. I'm not even a 100,000 aire but I still give family money. Send my moms money every month
Cousin could be a junky, has a rep for not settling his debts & he might’ve crossed Hov or other family members
@@getmoneychill6462He would of said that.
@getmoneychill6462 you're assuming the absolute worst of people 🤣. I'd tell them to show me their bank account, give them 5k, then ask to see their account again next time they ask for money.
If there's less money or not much more, I'm not giving them money, because its clear they're leeching off me. I'd probably given everyone a yearly allowance. Family I actually care for, not people I'm just related to. And I'd ensure only certain ppl have my number
@@michael43567$5k isn’t making any money unless you trying to ‘flip it’. If that’s all it would take to get a business going, you should be able to come up with it or come with a better plan. Naw not giving your cousin 4800 is crazy lol 😂
5:38:00 ayoooooooo 😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly speaking, no amount you give will ever be enough, they'll always be someone with their hand out. We all know what money can get us, we all know why we want it...your family coming at you for having it in large amounts is the trade-off for you having said large amount in the first place...
Hes a Billionaire, twice over. He's good. It dont matter helping here and there hell never go broke.
@@user-ye4bu6xh4c it’s not how you go broke, and it’s only about the principle, do you say if I give a homeless person a dime a day, you would have given him 36.50. I make around 70 thousand a year, that will not be the reason I would go broke. 4800 to a multi billionaire is less than that, so what is really the issue of giving???
Jay say he want peace of mind when he’s with family but his family broke they don’t have peace of mind cause they struggling, they ain’t tryna chill and watch a movie with you they want you to help them with a money move so they can be up with you! Idk how you can feel comfortable around people who are struggling tho…if you well off and have jayz type money how can you be comfortable on someone couch around family knowing they are in the struggle
Exactly. Big difference on just giving spending money or enabling individuals. But you can make their day to day better so they can take initiate to truly improve their livelihoods and capitalize on the help
Jay Z shot his own brother. He has at least three kids that he doesn't claim- he's a cold dude that don't gaf about anyone but his inner circle. I agree with you, I couldn't be around people struggling with that kind of money.

Also don’t we all have “family” members we don’t f with AT ALL! People who would suddenly come out of the woodwork and ask for money. I’m not even rich but I already know which family members would stand on my doorstep with their hand out or act like we’ve been close if I suddenly got rich tomorrow.
I agree with Jay 💯if one of my family members was a billionaire, I would never ever ask them for money. I have too much pride and they don’t owe me shyt.
Someone always wants to pitch the person that has money. Every time you see family someone thinks it a money grab situation and you are their personal ATM.
Seen what happened to mc hammer when to try to take care of everyone. Never understood street Hustler's selling dimes and 20s for years. No plan just enough to pay a bill or some J's. No goal, no plan, no growth no future.
Once you start handing it out, there's no limit to the times they come back for more.
The title 😂😂 so annoying man but simply true
People won't ever respect UNEARNED money. So many stories of people hitting the lottery and crashing out. You got to get it yourself. 💯
Easiest way to get broke really fast is dashing money out to family member on business that makes no sense ... i am not rich and my family members be pocket watching ... and if offer them a Job the act like beneath them ...
He prolly gave them money before, but they splurged it
He can give the white man millions of dollars for a watch or a painting. But can’t throw his cousin a couple bands to get on his feet. I’d feel a way too. I guess this answers the question “$500,000 or dinner with Jay-Z” take the money. Jay-Z only does good deeds for publicity and he only helps people who are already rich and he definitely doesn’t want to see anyone do better than himself
People purposely miss the overall point of what he said to just HATE on Jay.. Hating on Jay is a new trend. Is the world we live in 🤦🏽♂️
Just when all the attention is back on Joe, he puts this weeks episode exclusive to Patreon....Podding ain't free neither I suppose
Just because that said person is Jay Z family member, doesn’t mean they’re entitled to his money. He had to work for everything he has so it’s really his decision if he wants to give it out. Also it depends on the family member as well. They obviously know he’s rich and will take advantage of that. So if he gave the cousin the money then cool and if not that’s cool to because it’s HIS MONEY he doesn’t owe anybody anything.
If he gives one family member that, just think of how many others will come begging for some. Theres a difference between taking care of family and just giving a handout.
