Panda, I'll say this: The creator of YuGiOh abridged, LittleKuriboh, inspired EVERY abridged series after. He did a lot of voice work with TFS too

Yugioh abridged was actually the first youtube abridged series. If you wanna get into yugioh, it starts off showing its age but its quite good

LittleKuriboh even made a pretty good comment about it regarding bridges, in his Naruto Abridged Serie.
It was bad and barely functional but it was the only one around so everyone loved it.

YuGiOh abridged is like the older brother to DBZA, the guy who created it literally voices Freeza and many other TFS characters because LK and TFS have been working together so long.
As others have menthioned, YGO Abridged was done by Little Kuriboh - the voice of the narrator and Freeza in DBZA.
Yusuke and Kuwabara were both done by Lanipator - the voice of Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin (and others). He also has YuYu Hakusho Abridged.
There was another Pokemon version from the folks that did Pokemon 'Bridged. In that one, Nowacking plays Misty and Jessie (the same voice actor played Seras Victoria in Hellsing Abridged). This is the same actor that transitioned and is now in a lot of TFS' sponsorships for the air pod stuff (his name is Jesse).
Whether for a react or not, that's up to you, but I do heavily recommend all three series for you to at least watch on your own time. Especially the first two mentioned since, while mostly outdated with references, they're some of the examples of where Abridging came from.

If you like the versus battle stuff, DevilArtemis has a slew of videos for it, some of which are just over the top and hysterical. Would recommend after finishing up DBZ Abridged and TFS's DragonShortZ mini series.

There's an alternate version of the pokemon Cell vs. out there if you ever get a chance to watch it, done with Elite3 who did pokemon bridged, it's pretty funny as well!
I think the switch to 3d was just so they could more easily offload some of the animation duties to other folks. This would have been a lot more intense to produce than their regular stuff I imagine.
That and probably to match the current style of each property. Sonic is generally 3D now. And so is Street Fighter.
Probably an assets issue too. Street Fighter and Sonic have had animated series but probably not enough useable scenes for what TFS wanted to do. Also they were a collab with the animator, think he's known for some GTA vids.
Come to think of it a lot of these were collabs. Lani did YYH abridged for a bit, Kuriboh did Yu-Gi-Oh as well as voiced Freeza, Remix was fandubbing Hokuto, and 1Kids did Pokemon abridged. Speaking of, 1Kids have their own version of Ash vs Cell that's stupidly hilarious.

there are characters that are 2d when there is a cartoon series about them to sample the animation. but characters like sonic, Deadpool and ken and ryu have no actual anime series that can be sampled to make this crossover animation.
I think they did this because it took over a year before episode 60 was released. I could be wrong, but it was over a year before we got episode 60, at the time it was released.

Fun Fact: There's 2 Versions of the Pokemon Cell Vs. Episode, One with something closer to the original Pokemon series' characters, and one that had the Pokemon 'Bridged Cast and Characters.

It doesn't matter how many hearts he has. Death Note doesn't cause a heart attack but DEATH, heart attack is just the default cause if the user doesn't write anything else. So Cell should have had died regardless of how many hearts he has.

It was also a human heart (no idea how he has multiple hearts if the people he absorbed are just part of his dna. But if it was based on Cell only having one heart I donât think it would have worked because the first rule of the Death Note is the âhumanâ whose name is written in this Death Note shall die, and Cell is a bio-mechanical android.

Cell has the ability to regenerate, remember that Goku destroyed the upper part of Cell's body, but Cell remained alive and regenerated
In addition, in order to kill Ciel with the Death Note, the creator of the Death Note must be stronger than Ciel
Ordinary Dragon Balls do not have the power to kill someone stronger than their Maker, and the same rule applies to the Death Note in the Dragon Ball universe

I realized you didn't get to see couple of the other Dragon Ball Z Abridged Movie. Return of Cooler, Super Android 13, and Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan
Kenshiro's MFTL+, meaning he'd have no trouble at all keeping pace with Cell. All of his attacks nullify durability. Even in a serious fight, the best possible scenario for Cell is blowing up the galaxy and getting a possible draw two months after Kenshiro kills him instantly.
Anryu Tenha- sends Cell to the shadow realm
Gento Ko Ken- completely disintegrates Cell

YGO Abridged is definitely worth a look. Very funny.
2:44 This specifically is Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged Yugi, voiced by Little Kuriboh, the creator of that series of videos. He's pretty much who kicked off the abridged craze and big inspiration for TFS (played the narrator and Frieza). It's always neat little show to check out, but being older than DBZA, it starts showing its age in terms of voice-over quality.

You should probably watch the Broly movie before getting into the tournament. It canonically, as canonical as it can be, should be before the tournament and after Goku and Gohan leave the chamber.
In YuGiOh, the mc was a nerdy kid that got picked on alot at school, with the exception of the neighborhood girl he grew up with. His grandpa retired from archeology some time ago and had acquired a solid gold 3d puzzle that was unsolvable, save for the protag who gets the thing. When solved, it gives him the ability to swap souls with an ancient pharaoh thay somehow looked just like him in his life. This pharaoh happens to excel in all kinds of games, or gets good at new games real quick. It leads to him having new friends, including the guys that used to pick at him regularly. Basically, some jerk that uses threats, bullying, martial arts, and something else to threaten or hurt the protag or his friends will cause the switch, and the Pharaoh uses his gaming skills against the jerks, and they try to cheat or if they lose, they end up effed up by the dark magic. Then, the mangaka came up with the card game, which became a real thing and fad AND the system for the rest of the franchise.

There's actually another version of the Cell vs Ash with the Pokémon abridged voice actors called Elite3 which is alot funnier than the Team Four Star version and I highly recommend to watch that one
Ygotas is a good abrigded which I love to watch. It is a little rough in the beginning, but it's mostly due to it's age and the fact it was the first abrigded with Littlekuriboh do everything on his own. Still worth a watch I say and I would follow it for sure

Yeah, Yugioh The Abridged Series starts off really rough, but it gets better with age. With that said, it's a time capsule of what pop culture from that time period.

The joke with charizard is that itâs really not classified as a dragon type PokĂ©mon, despite the fact that itâs obviously a dragon with itâs design and that dragon type PokĂ©mon exist.
So when cell is told that charizard isnât actually a dragon he loses his smile and stares daggers at Brock because thatâs how most of us felt when we where first told that charizard wasnât a dragon.

Actually Yusuke probably woulda had a chance against cell itâs said his power can blow up a planet and even sensuiâs power was so dangerous that even over 20 percent of power would risk the earth being destroyed and it helps that Yusuke is a mazoku and since mazoku Yusuke is stronger than sensui then his power could do a lot worse

You'd like Yugioh Abridged, it's hilarious, but note that it doesn't focus on the narrative as much as TFS, it's definitely humor first. First dozen episodes or so are a little rough due to the quality from so long ago
