    I met Ralph in line at Subway in 2003 - he hugged me and said a prayer for my mom, who had recently died. What a gentle and loving soul.

    Amazing gifted black actor. Let's not criticize his appearance, we all age different. Listen to what's being said, and there's no jail/prison no scandal, no three or four children by three or four women. He gives a brilliant interview and history lesson. I applaud you my friend.     Ralph Carter was a very genius lad as a child.he had a few songs out back in the early 70s. Do anyone recall when he sang at his sister's wedding on Good Times? He has been working on theater before and since the show. He's helped do so much for black theater. Thank you Ralph.many more good years to you.

    I grew up in rural town of only white people and I was fascinated with Good Times. I used to do all of my chores, so that I could watch the show. I would sing along to the opening lyrics even if I made some of them up, because I didn't know them.

      Unfortunately most white people only know about black people what they see on tv. Go and meet some black people, maybe make a black friend and you'll find we have more in common than you think.

      5x10 Fitness we are still trapped in our thoughts that white America has to give us permission to be successful or that one chosen “black” has our success in their hand.     We were friends back in the day along with his sister Vickie. So glad to hear his mom is 96 and still here. Good to see him as well. Brings back alot of memories from hanging with them back in the day.

    I used to see Ralph Carter on the E train going to the city all the time in the 80's and 90's. Ralph always gave me a nod "hello."

    I met Ralph AND his mother on a street in New York City way back in 1974. About an hour later, I went to see a broadway play and guess who was starring in it?? None other than Ralph Carter. (Raisin). Yep, I am old. (and happy)
