Love partnering and working with such a give like you Ryan. Thanks for being a great Servant Leader!
I appreciate that you do your own work, seem like a real down-to-earth dude
@@RyanCrouser23 I am now 15 and I throw 50m 1kg discus and 15.50m 3k shotput
What do you think I have to choose. Hoping for your reply
@@balpreetsingh2772 nice but when you are 15 you should be throwing a 1.6 kg discus and 12 lb shotput. The shotput is an easier transition but the disc can be a bit more tricky
This video should be a good example of bad throwing days. Even the best have them. You can’t get so down on yourself even if you can’t get it out there. They will come!
Ryan I am your biggest fan
If you do a freeze frame where 13:03 turns to 13:04 he looks exactly like my little brother A.J. My little brother was an Eastern States champion in the Discus, but he was never very good at Shot Put. There were a couple near 60-foot throwers on his high school team and I think he just figured it wasn't worth even training the Shot. So, he won tons in Discus and then went to a college without a track team. This was decades ago. College scholarships were mostly going to cross country runners in those days. A lot of good throwers never picked up an implement again after high school.
Glad to see this channel. I look up to you and love learning from your videos. I'm trying to get better at disc and shot for highschool heading into junior year. Your videos inspire and help alot. I'm kinda late to working out but hopefully not too late. I'm going to workout alot this summer between building fences and the gym. Much love and respect to you. Keep up the amazing work!!! 💪💪
Love the videos, much love take care!
Cool: athletics, constructing and gardening in one video!
These efforts were not in vain, congrats with new WR!
Thank you so much sir.Even after being such a big athlete, you share all your things.
Very love from India 🙏🥰
everyone can pick up alot from watching these videos of you building something....the discipline you have pervades everything you do. Anyone else is done in a couple hours but you do it right, but it takes a couple days. Same thing is happening when we learn to spin, we are throwing bombs by end of the first week, have a feeling you are still setting up the concrete foundation of the technique !,
When you stuck your whole arm down the ground to get the shot I burst out laughing😂
Hey ryan I'm a middle school athlete and just started to spin for shot its just amazing what you can throw for shot
Already a big fan. This video is so real. Love from India.
Hey Ryan! Wondering if you could make a video talking about how you deal with aches and pains during the szn as well as how you prevent injury and taper for competition?
Haha, love it, especially the muddy shots buried in the muck. This is the real life of a thrower. Was a fan already, (always a fan of greatness) but this moves you up another level Ryan...just saying did you know Thor was a red head, not blond?
Very cool. Especially to see you do the work yourself.
😎💙🙏🏼
Also a native to the beautiful land of Arkansas.
i love that hus pro tips are actually pro tips, because he is a pro
Nice! You could always double-down on the moat and put some sharks in.
The shotput goat
So cool
I'm officiating state meet this year the discus be first time in 4 years since state meet came back to university of oregon. You look good big meets coming for you pre good luck
Hey Ryan. Im an athlete from Puerto Rico mostly discus but I wasnt able to go see you today or yesterday since I have school. I am ranked #1 in Puerto Rico with a shot of 55.54m ~ 183ft and I really wanted to go see you even though I watch your videos. Also congrats on getting 1st you really nailed that one almost 23m amazing!!
Hey Ryan, I was wondering what exactly did you use for the ring and toeboard. (like the models) I am trying to make a throws ring for my school and my eagle scout project.
Some tips on building your backyard shot circle, from the world record holder and two-time reigning Olympic Champion Ryan Crouser. Stay tuned after the break, Michael Phelps will be troweling his new pool.
Love your content. Do you think you could make a video about hand health and how to deal with hand injuries?
14:20 i think you see more man of the wild shows in discovery channel (secret power behind the world record)
Hey Ryan, Erich, really love these videos. Thank you so much! But could you lower the volume of the music and up the volume of the vocal audio?
How do you get the concrete mix right I tried to make a ring in my field with my dad but the end result was the surface was dusty and had no grip
Try to limit the water in the mix, I actually had to sand just a little bit because I had the same problem in the middle where I couldn’t reach as easily. I did that by myself so didn’t have video of it unfortunately.
Nice sir
I got fouled 2 times in a really big meet with big throws because my toe is coming out of the ring in the back. Any tips to fix idk what to do. Trying to break that 60 ft barrier
Sir please make a vidio on cooldown exercise for shot put thrower
Where do you get your wrist wrap ?
"Were gonna need a bigger sector" - in Jaws parlance
What about a video of shotput world recordist throwing discuss throw (very exciting)
Once you hit 24m with the crouser slide, will you continue to throw shot or switch to disc??
New upload! Lets go!
@9:33 everything reminds me of her 🤣💀
Quick question. Is it a foul if your midfoot touches the top of the ring in the back of the circle? I only ask because I see a lot of pro's do this, but I have never seen it called.
@Ryan do you eval gliders or just rotational throwers?
Can you do a video on what you eat in a day?
Do you do the building as Cardio training?
Toop bro❤
What's ur practice throw best distance
Will we see you throwing discus at the Olympics?
how do you clean your shoes?
If you were to full send on a stand throw how far would it go? I'm curious how much distance elite level throwers pick up from the rotation
You seem just as good a cement mixer as you are a shot putter 😁
I am a glider I want to throw far , but I have not proper guidence, I throw 14m only
Hey I’m a freshman but I qualified for a big conference meet on Friday. I’m nervous because I haven’t been doing the best. If you have any tips it would be awesome. Wish me luck!
Just go out there and have fun take a deep breath before each throw and relax and execute like practice, these last few practices focus on quality over quantity
How do I get better at using my right foot when I finish the throw? I don’t twist it enough and the shot ends up flying flat
Practice the sequencing turning the foot then the knee then the hip in slow motion to train that neural pattern
Please spent me one of the bad one… there are all good enough to win the Austrian shot´s
👍
I'm a masters thrower . 68 years old. but how often do you work with a heavier shot?..... does it help to get stronger in the movement?
It can definitely help with specific strength, but if you go too heavy that you have to change your technique to throw it then it becomes more detrimental
Hello champ I am from India my age is 16 and
I can bench press @100 kg.
I am throwing 7.25 kg shot 10 meters tell some workout and drills to increase the distance and
Now I am in the cadder of u18 5kg
Now it's going 13 meters how can I get 22 meters pls tell. Some tricks and tips to avoid foul in gliding.
I am waiting for ur rply champion.
Why did you switch up your starting stance in your throw?
It’s kind of funny, I used to throw left foot on center but when everything closed in spring 2020 I trained off of plywood for 5 month so had to go to a center straddle start and now moving back to center
As a beginner how many throw can i include in a day ?
I'd say 100 fulls after drills is a good number for a begginer or highschool thrower
I would recommend 25-40 throws a day, better to focus on quality over quantity
I threw like 5 feet over my pr at the last meet of the season my first time spinning and fouled it, and now I’m throwing like 4 feet below my pr in practice for no damn reason :/. Discus is going good tho
One of the toughest things is to come back after a monster throw like that, just relax and let the big throw happen, don’t put extra pressure on yourself trying to recreate that one throw
How much this cost?😄
World recird 76 feet
Can a athlete qualify in both disciplines in Olympics like both discuss and shotput, like carl Lewis competed in two disciplines.
Yes Sir, In Team USA all are super elites. You are the one with a realistic chance in winning medal in both disciplines.
But shot put competition is the tough now. Al most 8 men can throw 22 + now.
How do you feel about Russia?
I think a lot of the comments here today can be undone, especially after recent accomplishments
Why put a tennis court in your back yard when you can put a shot put ring
Does having 2-3 sex in a week reduce performance? Please tell me.
I know shotput is your main career, but how far do you think you could throw disc? I know your high school discus throw was insane
I think 65-67m relatively quickly, hopefully further, but it would take full time dedication
@@RyanCrouser23 and will you try discus fulltime in future?
@@RyanCrouser23 that would sure be an incredible feat to be the first person to win an Olympic gold medal in shot put AND discus
His gotta stick with shot through the Oregon Worlds. After that Discus would be awesome. I'd suggest the same game plan for Karsten Warholm. Make this the last season of hurdles, then go for the 400m/800m double. Though I suppose if there's a chance for 5 Shot Put golds, that's not a bad plan either.
i think he has the penn relays record
