To all the men saying it's not that neighbor's job to do anything...please by ALL MEANS keep that SAME EXACT energy for your mother, daughter, aunt, side piece, wife, children's mother's and most importantly YOURSELF. When a situation arrives and someone has that same mindset. Her having a husband or not is a variable that changes nothing. What if she did and was widowded? At work or anything else? Being a decent human being is the bare minimum.

That neighbor who didn't call reminds me of an employee I once had. She is a black female, and one day, she came back to work from lunch looking like she had seen a ghost. When I asked what was up? She said, while she was waiting in her car in the parking lot for her lunch break to be over, she saw a black man and a black woman fighting. The man eventually dragged the woman from the parking lot, down a breezeway where she couldn't see what happened next. I asked, "Did you call the police?" She said no, it happened too fast and she was in shock. Mind you, before this event, I had to tell this woman time and time again, to stay off of her phone until her break. So she couldn't stay off the phone at work, but she sees a fellow black woman (fellow human being for that matter) in trouble...... and doesn't think to pick up her phone??????
The phone most likely was already in her hand. She just didn’t think to call, or didn’t care to-possibly out of fear. 🤷🏾♀️ But I betchu she was paying completely attention on what was going on.
I would also hope that the police investigate the neighbor. It's not normal to see a woman get stuffed into a car and do absolutely nothing. Your own neighbor, no less. Something is wrong there. What I want to know is: did he know her personally? have a neighborly relationship with her, i.e., at the very least say hello, etc? Did he know her children? Did he ever express any romantic interest in her? If he knew her in any way, including the fact that she had young children, and yet still chose to watch her get stuffed in a car without so much as calling the police, I would have to question his integrity thoroughly.

It was someone from the gas station they followed her home or an ex whom was waiting on her to get back home. The neighbor ain’t no good. How you see and hear someone get drugged to her car yelling ,screaming and do absolutely nothing. Watching this show and others let’s me know what states and cities not to live in because black women isn’t a priority in some states. It’s been 9 years and no nothing. That’s sad. Definitely praying for the family. 🙏🏾

I've always thought about her in my heart and prayers. In the beginning, everyone hoped she was found but its been so long now. I heard a woman yelling for help in her apt heard a man beating and I do mean beating her like a man tossing her around it was so scary I call the cops quickly unknown as well. Luckily she escaped the room & ran down the road. I heard another man telling him that enough I’m calling the cops 👮♀️ wheew cause he was trying to chase her I’m learning to be more aware of my surroundings and watching the company I keep and my company keep! See something say something!
If Nefi bought two cups of coffee at that time of the morning, she likely bought one for herself and someone else. If there was an unused condom on the porch, the other person was likely a man that she had been or intended to be intimate with. Perhaps she went through the trouble at that time of morning to get coffee and bread because she was going to make them breakfast after time spent together. My question is: who is the man she bought the coffee for? Was he in the house during or after she was kidnapped? If someone knows who she was seeing, or checked her cell for texts and calls that might point to this person, then he may lead to other answers.
Final thought: this sounds like a set up... Like Nefi consented to be with one man that night, but he pulled her into something else that she never consented to, and so never saw the kidnapping coming.
It's a shame how you were able to figure this all out but the cops are clueless ....smh.... I wonder if the neighbor had something to do it with also. His story doesn't sit right with me at all.

I like your way of thinking on this matter because I was analyzing her actions and purchased items before her kidnapping and my conclusion is very similar to that of yours
I met her during an internship at First USA bank the summer of 97 and Nefi and I became fast friends. Although we didn't stay in touch like that whenever I would run into her it was all love. This case has been heavy on my heart since 2014. I feel for her children and family. Where we're from she was popular and well respected and loved. She was an "it" girl. This still haunts me. Friend wherever you are or whatever side you're on know that Wilmington Delaware is still standing up for you and your name still ring bells. We'll never stop looking for you sis ❤️

It was said that she bought 2 cups of coffee and a pack of cigarettes, an unopened condom and cigarettes was found at her entrance. My thoughts is was she expecting someone over that she trusted and they had plans to harm her

He is a disgusting human being. How can anyone stand by and watch a young woman dragged away kicking and screaming and do absolutely nothing. Even if he didn't want to physically get involved because he was afraid for his own safety, the least he could have done was call the police immediately. I just bought a home on the 'Black' side of town, but I'm glad my block is multi-cultural since I live alone as a woman. I have an Asian to my right, a white family to my left, and next to them some Hispanic people that's always outside cutting his grass. I remember when this happened so sad 😢. The neighbor heard all that and didn't call the police!! I live only 7 minutes away from her home. My prayers are with the family and especially her children.

Someone was kicked out of the home and out into the cold for acting out, having bad behavior and refusing to cut it out. Very interesting. I wonder if alcohol was involved. 🤔 it looks like it was. So tragic the neighbor could have at least called 911 and told them she was been abducted and dragged against her wheel into a car- that’s the least he could have done because he was the last person to see her- sending prayers of protection safety and release for Neffi and May she return back home to her family ❤️

Thank you for covering this story. I did not know Neffie personally, but I did see her out at the local bar from time to time. I hope they find her and bring closure to this family. It's been almost 9 years. It's weird how nobody knows anything and Delaware is such a small state where everybody knows everybody or knows somebody that knows you. And that neighbor, chile how can he sleep at night? I will continue to keep her family in prayer.

These stories are so upsetting, I can’t even fight the tears. We really don’t get no type of justice. So many BW went missing and never heard from again? Like they weren’t even here. Neffie was my neighbor in Iron Hill’ She lived Next door’She love her kids And She was excited when she gave birth to her BabyGirl in July 2006’ And I had gave birth to my Daughter the end of July And Neffie was the second week in July’ Our last conversation was in August 2006 she was showing me pictures of her house and how she decorated her Sons Bedroom’ She love her Kids’ She had tight relationship with her mother’ She use to always talk bout her Grandmother and how she couldn’t leave the front porch on 6 Street in Wilmington Delaware’ I Really hope there will be a closure to what happened to her” She was a nice person she use to tell me how she will get on my oldest son as she seen-as a little brother to her’ I think bout her when I drive pass her housing development’ PLEASE 🙏🏽 FIND BABY GIRL’

It’s sad because a group of us including her all walked to the liquor store together the day before she went missing just laughing, talking and joking together then the next day I heard she was gone, just like that gone in thin air, I still can’t believe it, smh. The neighbor could have yelled out or something, I did that when I saw a woman being followed here in NYC . I was at my window early morning and she sensed he was there and uncomfortable. He stopped realizing he was being watched and went back up the block. Who knows what was on his mind.

There are very strange people in the world so I am not surprised this happened to her unfortunately. I was sitting in my car waiting for my son when I saw a man across the busy street fall to the ground and then lay there and then crawl trying everything to get up as people walked by unconcerned. I watched because there were so many men around that I just knew they would help but no one did. Finally after about ten minutes I called 911 and one large man stopped his car also to help. The ambulance thanked me because he was diabetic and lost feeling in his legs. I really cried about the lack of care in this world. God help us. 🥺😭

I had a neighbor who was getting beat with a hammer in Baltimore md, she was screaming for me to call 911, once i called them i promise you she instantly switched up and started fighting the cops, i mean her face was black n blue, after that her man would look at me with this angry face, and it was so uncomfortable, moral of the story some people are afraid to get involved, so they choose to mind their business, even if u call the police youre involved and u still have to live there, its just sad
This one is mysterious. What time she go to the 7/11 and what time was she taken did she get back (4:00 A.M) who was the second cup of coffee for ? And who did she buy the cigarettes for, doesn't look like she smokes. The neighbour didn't see the car, or the person dragging her off the porch? this angers me.
I knew it was a weakest link that watched her get dragged off without doing anything or getting at least the license plate. I was thinking about moving to an area with more of my own people but this just confirmed being around Dusties is a death sentence unless men from other communities are there to keep them in line.

That neighbor who didn't call reminds me of an employee I once had. She is a black female, and one day, she came back to work from lunch looking like she had seen a ghost. When I asked what was up? She said, while she was waiting in her car in the parking lot for her lunch break to be over, she saw a black man and a black woman fighting. The man eventually dragged the woman from the parking lot, down a breezeway where she couldn't see what happened next. I asked, "Did you call the police?" She said no, it happened too fast and she was in shock. Mind you, before this event, I had to tell this woman time and time again, to stay off of her phone until her break. So she couldn't stay off the phone at work, but she sees a fellow black woman (fellow human being for that matter) in trouble...... and doesn't think to pick up her phone??????

What I want to know is: did he know her personally? have a neighborly relationship with her, i.e., at the very least say hello, etc? Did he know her children? Did he ever express any romantic interest in her? It was someone from the gas station they followed her home or an ex whom was waiting on her to get back home. The neighbor ain’t no good. How you see and hear someone get drugged to her car yelling ,screaming and do absolutely nothing. I heard a woman yelling for help in her apt heard a man beating and I do mean beating her like a man tossing her around it was so scary I call the cops quickly unknown as well.

If Nefi bought two cups of coffee at that time of the morning, she likely bought one for herself and someone else. If there was an unused condom on the porch, the other person was likely a man that she had been or intended to be intimate with. Perhaps she went through the trouble at that time of morning to get coffee and bread because she was going to make them breakfast after time spent together. My question is: who is the man she bought the coffee for? Was he in the house during or after she was kidnapped? If someone knows who she was seeing, or checked her cell for texts and calls that might point to this person, then he may lead to other answers.
Final thought: this sounds like a set up... Like Nefi consented to be with one man that night, but he pulled her into something else that she never consented to, and so never saw the kidnapping coming.
It's a shame how you were able to figure this all out but the cops are clueless ....smh.... I wonder if the neighbor had something to do it with also. His story doesn't sit right with me at all.

I met her during an internship at First USA bank the summer of 97 and Nefi and I became fast friends. Although we didn't stay in touch like that whenever I would run into her it was all love. This case has been heavy on my heart since 2014. I feel for her children and family. Where we're from she was popular and well respected and loved. She was an "it" girl. This still haunts me. The neighbor could have yelled out or something, I did that when I saw a woman being followed here in NYC . I was at my window early morning and she sensed he was there and uncomfortable. He stopped realizing he was being watched and went back up the block. Who knows what was on his mind.

There are very strange people in the world so I am not surprised this happened to her unfortunately. I was sitting in my car waiting for my son when I saw a man across the busy street fall to the ground and then lay there and then crawl trying everything to get up as people walked by unconcerned. I watched because there were so many men around that I just knew they would help but no one did. Finally after about ten minutes I called 911 and one large man stopped his car also to help. The ambulance thanked me because he was diabetic and lost feeling in his legs. I really cried about the lack of care in this world. God help us. 🥺😭

I had a neighbor who was getting beat with a hammer in Baltimore md, she was screaming for me to call 911, once i called them i promise you she instantly switched up and started fighting the cops, i mean her face was black n blue, after that her man would look at me with this angry face, and it was so uncomfortable, moral of the story some people are afraid to get involved, so they choose to mind their business, even if u call the police youre involved and u still have to live there, its just sad

This one is mysterious. What time she go to the 7/11 and what time was she taken did she get back (4:00 A.M) who was the second cup
of coffee for ? And who did she buy the cigarettes for, doesn't look like she smokes. The neighbour didn't see the car, or the person dragging her off the porch? this angers me.
I knew it was a weakest link that watched her get dragged off without doing anything or getting at least the license plate.
I was thinking about moving to an area with more of my own people but this just confirmed being around Dusties is a death sentence unless men from other communities are there to keep them in line.
