    I love these lectures. It is a wonder for Tudor lovers and for those who like to know the more private part of their lives, where they lived, what they owned, how it all worked, the system, the management, the burocracy, the inheritance, things and transference of properties. In conclusion for me, the Boleyns were more wealthy and well placed than I thought.

    Simon says that Anne's income in her first year as queen was about five thousand pounds (at about 44.00). By way of contrast - Hans Holbein who she hired as royal portraitist (czcams.com/video/cWGvPjNPo1U/video.html at 35.49) was paid thirty pounds a year.
