This is such a stroke of genius to have been created in 1952. The concept seems so ahead of its time, especially in the way the author treats his premise so seriously, even in the preface and setting before the tales begin.

Simple and wonderfully written literature. Thanks for the beacon of a human voice.. they are becoming more valuable as they retreat in to history…

This is such a great little old school sci-fi story and I thoroughly enjoyed it however I was left with one nagging question; with all the advancement of the dogs how did they not ever find a way to rid themselves of fleas?? lol

I just love this story I’ve listened to it so many times I would listen again rtm but I just listened to it this last weekend while I was working in the garden. I’m trying to find this book I listened to a couple of years ago,the main character was some sort of spy and I can’t remember all the details but he said that every morning the government issued the daily inflation rate so before you went home at night you spent every dime you had on trinkets or anything you could buy because the next day it would all be worth more and your dollar would be worth less
