- Hello everyone! Thank you all for tuning in, and in this video, I get to try out QDH's newest addition to their lineup, a 2 person instant pop-up tent. It is quite easy to assemble and disassemble since it had a spring-loaded mechanism that allows you to pop it up and fold it as well for storage. It is not made for heavy rain protection, but it will do fine with moisture, dew, and fog during camping. I will be taking this to most of my camping trips for now it. It's just really easy to handle.
**SHOP**
QDH no longer makes this model but I have found a solid replacement. It even comes with a rain fly as well.

This tent is great for the park or beach like you stated to shield from the sun, pair it with the portable A/C you reviewed recently and you're all set! 👍💫
Haha! Yeah, the only issue is keeping the ice blocks cold until I reach the campsite.
Thank you Erick, I like your enthusiasm about showing this tent, now that you showed the mechanism on this tent It'll be easier to fix mine since I got it at an auction it needs a little repair with the rods on the plastic circle on top
I use this tent a lot, love it. Hope it can be fixed easily for you.
@@ErickMartinSucre I actually fixed and it works, just be careful when you open it or close it since the rods attached on the plastic hub on top break easily the assembly is attached like the legos and it's weak so mine were broken and I drilled small holes and ran a strong fine wire through each plastic joint with the hub.
Excellent work MacGyver 👏
nice
They are discontinued, but other manufacturers are making them. Great little tents
Great stuff, Erick. Both the tent and the solar bulb.
Thank you! That solar bulb has been with me for like 5 years already.
Looks like a good island camping tent.
Yup!! That's the plan
Hi.Great fun and video.✅👍👍😂
I'm getting one too.Thx.
Great little tent. It is currently discontinued buti found a replacement. A link should be on the description. Thanks for watching 😊
Great
Thank you!
i have this tent in 2022 but it comes witha small cover over the mechanism and fly , the tent is waterproof
Yes, the new iterations have improved thankfully. I still use this one often.
I can see why the comments section has been turned off on the Reactive CZcams site as these tent are flimsy and not water proof.
Not on this video. I use this tent constantly. It's not perfect by no means but it is convenient
Every tent bag should be made 10 to 12 per cent bigger, or at least offer that for sale as after market.
That's a good idea
My kaboat shows up tomorrow(it's on fedex)! When's the anclote camping trip? I'm down!
Woot woot! Soon, once the weather coops down a bit. I'll be posting it in the Facebook group once I have everything in place.
$8 harbor freight tarp and you're all set.
That'll work nicely. Although, this one has been discontinued and other manufacturers have made some with better set ups.
They don't hold up in a wind gust. The poles snap. Not a rain tent. They leak bad. Maybe good at a lake to get out of the sun but as far as depending on it as a backpacking tent, I wouldn't want to take that chance. They only offer a 30 day warranty and then you are stuck with the thing. Get a dependable tent.
Yeah, these model had some issues. Some manufacturers have been making some improved models. I have one coming by the end of March to see how ir holds up, but so far, this one has worked well ony Island camping trips.
Is there good enough room for 2 people?
In sleeping bags, yes, not sure using a twin sized inflatable bed.
Looks like there are three different sizes ..
@@ErickMartinSucre I thought they offer it in 3 different sizes ???
@@mikeskidmore6754 Haven't heard of any other sizes myself.
What does it weigh
Maybe 5 pounds. It's pretty light
@@ErickMartinSucre 5 pounds is light, I don't know that is like to add it to my pack though especially for hiking 8 miles.i really like the idea though.i went with the camppal 1 person single bracket it saved me about 2-3 lbs. Problem is if the wife goes or anyone else they need their own tent.
@@robinworkman3621 Well, truth be told, hikers usually bring a single person, overnight accommodation, so if another person tags along, let them bring their own as well. This little tent I'll be using on my upcoming river camping adventures.
@@ErickMartinSucre yes,I'll be using a camppal single bracket ,water and wind proof single person for this hunting season
Nice! Please be safe out there, and always carry your close to body handgun. I always do whenever I go out there.
No rain fly .. I will pass.... The Web site mentions a rain fly but does not show it. also no Prices just a phone number..
I took it to Econ River to camp and it handled drizzle just fine but I don't think it can handle a heavy pour.
@@ErickMartinSucre I saw a small drawing of a rain Fly on a page that shows the Prices. Yet I don't see a photo of a rain fly installed anywhere. I see a photo in the Reviews where some one used a silver tarp as a rain fly ..
@@mikeskidmore6754 I contacted the manufacturer during this review and advised them of it. I hope they included it from now on.
@@ErickMartinSucre I heard you mention that in your video. Funny there is a drawing of a rain fly on their web page but no info and no mention about it.
Glad I already have a 4 season Mountain Tent. Plus a Lone Rider Tent with space to keep a Motorcycle inside.. but it's rather large and heavy to carry on a small bike . Plus it takes a while to put it up.
I find their advertising funny saying that some people can't put up a tent with out a second person helping. So far I have not seen a 2 or 3 man tent that one person can't put up .. The Price is reasonable anyway ..
I have used this one in Anclote Key and Econ River.
Looks small for 2 🤔
You can but it will be tight. I use it for myself when I go camping.
Who the hell would like two doors? That's two points of entry for theives.
That's a weird way to look at it
