That’s because the iPhone speakers are eq’d for treble, if you listen with mixing headphones u can hear the difference

@@kaekuda true, but I was listening on Bluetooth speakers. For me what matters the most is how the average listener is going to hear it, in their car, iPhone speakers, Bluetooth etc. blue yeti sounds better to me, & I’m honestly a fan of higher priced mics over cheaper

Best “cheap” mic I’ve used, and still use is the Lauten 220. It is $300, but honestly for the quality, the price is bangin if you really want a professional sound for a non professional price lmaoo. Also the MXL V76, shits only $70-$100 depending on where you get it from. That Neuman everyone’s goal tho 😫

I think the yetti mic is good enough for an artist who has the talent. The other ones are seem jus like a touch up if anything
i seen another video a couple years ago of someone comparing the neumann tlm103 and the at2020 and after all the vocal processing it sounds virtually the same/unnoticeable difference.
The best microphones are whatever you can afford, some microphones come on sale at specific times. I bought a Rode NT1-A bundle for like $150

what gain settings do you use on the blue yeti, and do u record wit any effects (like noise gate), or just raw? thanks!
For me I drop the high ends with an eq and also use a noise gate (for background noise) and record with presets - everything else is done in post for me

With the neuman you need some hardware to help it. Like a better AI and a preamp and a hardware compressor and mess with their settings. That’s how u get true studio quality

The AT2035 is perfect for recording vocals, but DRY vocals. Ive got 2 and 2 AT2040 mics as well.
