Do you know what I love about this rendition? He sings with a tone of anger that other versions don't. There is definitely valid anger and indignation in this song for the wrongs done by the colonisers in thier ignorance cw

@@ir8free How about frustration and angst over the fact that these new settlers do not get or understand this connection between all things. I get the empathy when he's singing about how magical things are but when singing towards the new settlers I hear angst and frustration over their lack of understanding.
I was thinking the same thing. It’s not only evident in his voice, in the emphasis of certain words but also his mannerisms and facial expressions! Fantastic performance. I felt it so much that I got goosebumps! I have it on reply now.

In my experience, the song "Kaun Komsott" by Ros Sereysothea has never failed to melt the hearts of first-time listeners. I'd feel bad if I DIDN'T share the song as I truly think it's one of the most beautiful songs ever created.

The anger and frustration that *should* be in the song are present, but it still holds all the beauty of the original.

I really like this Version. I’m working (very slowly) on a story (it’s like Cinderella and John carpenters the thing) and this pretty much sums up how the male lead feels and changes after meeting the female lead (who can’t just can’t get the human form right)
