Ah, now I get it, Wolf Link's remaining hearts from the Vave of Shadows carries over into his health in Breath of the Wild. That's pretty cool, makes surviving the Cave of Shadows all the more necessary to survive in the wild.

In fact, it has been explained that the emptiness is there b'cause Nintendo don't want to spoil the game. NPC's, towns, quest will be add in the full game :)

Epona is kinda his Loftwing, but real talk, we might have better chance of getting a Loftwing amiibo rather than trying to find Link smash amiibo nowadays. (Seriously Link goes for 60$ nowadays ffs)

I always wonder of the reply would be different if it was locked behind an Amiibo AND a little paywall. That way you have the people that will pay 20$ or so for the figurine gladly and also have the feature, and people who just want a Wolf Link and get it for around 1$ to 5$. However that ruins the whole multi-use thing, but considering the other uses on other games would cost around the same money... idk, just neat to think about
