I can’t listen any other K-pop after listening Big Bang. I only listen Big Bang songs in K-pop industry. They are real artists. This song still got my heart even in 2024.

Losing them as a group was one of the saddest things to have happened to contemporary pop music. The absolute CREATIVITY, the way they all complemented each other (at least GDragon, TOP and Taeyang), and the way they proper revolutionised Kpop through their music videos and style, my gosh. What a loss. But thank you for the artistry as a group
ikr? no one can replace them. Nowadays, every group goes with a fixed theme - cutesy, noise, ballads etc and although not entirely a bad thing, they sound similar. With BigBang, every song was unique. Extremely unique and lyrically wise.
@@malu8710 exactly this! now it's like all the groups have come off a conveyor belt. some groups to have come after BigBang, like BTS, are quite good yes but there's still something missing, there's still something that feels manufactured about their vibe and music. Big Bang was completely cohesive and absolutely killed it in each department - lyrically, musically, visually, and they did it on their own!

GothikQueen I really don't where you got your classification of their position from but I been a VIP since their debut in 2006 and I never heard of this before. YG never assigned a main dancer, main vocalist, visual or main rapper in Bigbang. In the documentary he said GD and TOP are about even in terms of rapping. In visual, TOP is definitely much more handsome than GD. If you put it in a non bias perspective their position would be:
- GD: leader, lead rapper, lead vocalist
- Taeyang: Main Dancer, Main vocalist
- Seungri: Maknae, lead vocalist
- Daesung: 2nd main vocalist
- TOP: main rapper,visual

Here's an explanation of the music video:
In G-Dragon's part(he's the first one shown in the music video), he feels alone and depressed. Although he has money and fame, he becomes lonely as he does not have anyone by his side. His part also goes, "I was always alone. It's been a long time since I've forgotten about love."
Taeyang (the one on the roof in the red jacket) was confused and had doubts with his faith. The cross he drew said "Sin Will Find You." His part goes, "I hold out my hand, but no one holds it," just like in GD's case, he was alone and did not know where he should go to ask for help. At the end, he loses his battle against his own self and commits suicide where you see him falling off the building.
T.O.P. on the other hand was shown to be a womanizer. "Love them for one night, and hate then when the morning comes." The two girls were also wearing white, signifying that T.O.P. also views them as objects. When they started to touch him and his things, he got mad and killed them which is why you see him covered in blood while he is walking through the alley. He breaks down as he started to realize what he has done and what he has lost.
Daesung (the one getting beat up) was being bullied which makes him feel like a loser. "At some point I've gotten scared of people's eyes," he becomes afraid of what people would do to him. While looking at the mirror, he decides to fight back although he knows that he was not going to win.
Seungri (white hair) still chases after his ex-girlfriend who already has found someone new. He becomes obsessive, calling her every now and then.
At the end, the five members all gave in to their personal struggles, thus becoming 'Losers" in their own ways.

The difference between idols and artists is very clear.

Many idol groups these days don't really put emotions into songs, since a lot of the time, they don't focus on the message but their choreography, dancing, physical appearance, popularity, etc., but Big Bang might be, if not only, few of the artists today that treats music as art. I remember when Big Bang first debuted and everyone, sadly me too, thought this group was going to fail due to their lack of visuals and professionalism.
To everyone saying that they love this song because "oppa looks so good," "this song is catchy," etc., remember the meanings of the songs. Lately, media alters and card-stacks about reality causing people to think another way than what really is happening. However, Big Bang is giving to the audience straight about who they really are and why they are a "loser."
This song reflects each one of their experiences.
I remember when T.O.P was on the edge of a cliff before debut because he was terrible at dancing and memorizing the choreography. He was considered "overweight" and "ugly" then, but now he is one of the best rappers and covers model positions in famous magazines. But still, he is the same guy, "TEMPO," "Big Seunghyun," "Power rapper," etc.
I remember when Daesung was "ugly" to the audience, and he had acne all over his face during his training days. He always gave the fun vibe to the group and practiced all the time.
I remember when Taeyang was my favorite since he had such a deep talking voice while stuttering quite a lot. But when he sang, he was so soulful and his dancing was impeccable.
I remember when G-Dragon was declared as the leader of the group. I've always thought of him going to YG was a waste since I thought SM was a better company for him (what a mistake). I've always thought he would be fit best as a vocalist, and I never liked his slurring rap back then. Now he produces the best music in the Korean entertainment industry and defines what hip-hop really is.
I remember when Seungri was brought in by his funny dancing, and he was just a child when he was in his training days. He was called "Little Seunghyun" back then, and I still remember how stressful it was when he was almost kicked out from the group.
I remember when Hyunseung was supposed to be part of Big Bang before they decided to make it a five member group. That was when I started hating Papa YG for turning the documentary into a survival, and yet, I still respect YHS so much for holding on to music and having sympathy to those who fail to debut.
Back then, YG's company was built by Jinusean and 1TYM. Se7en was the hottest thing on the media and was known as Rain's rival. I used to think that Big Bang would never achieve that level of popularity. But now, Big Bang is the group that influenced me into Hip-Hop, R&B, and EDM, helping me branch out my love for other types of music that is out there.
Now, new idol groups are rapidly debuting and the songs out there seem to be getting worse, but I'm glad this group is balancing out mainstream pop music. I was scared that eventually, everyone would become EXO-L's and other dance pop groups were going to be the majority of the music industry, but I am glad that many people are still loving Big Bang and supporting them continuously.
I don't know what else lies for Big Bang in the future, but I will always support them and their music.

This explain the MV and the storyline. Just want to share with new fans. This is not mine.
Seungri: (the guy with blonde hair)
At first he seems like a well adjusted man (good clothes, neat appearance, have gadgets ), but in reality he is a quick tempered man (smashes random car and his belongings) who was dumped by his girlfriend (probably beacuse of his shitty temper). Now he is completely obsessed with her (stalking her, keeps calling her phone). When he finally gets a chance to talk to her, she pushes him away.
Taeyang: (red jacket)
Someone who used to be religious who had lost their faith or someone who tries to be religious but constantly fails (on the cross it said, Sin will find you, or You will find sin. On the ground it says ‘whatever satisfies the soul is truth) and ended up wandering aimlessly in a junkyard. In the end he couldn’t take it anymore and drew out the cross on the ground as a marker, so that when he jumped to his death, he could fall on the cross like the god that he used to believe in.
Daesung: (they guy who got beaten up)
A quiet boy minding his own business until he is jumped by a group of thugs. They humiliated him and threw the bandana that his girlfriend gave him. After the incident, he forces himself up to 'man up’ in front of the mirror, thinking that he should 'be a man’ and take revenge. He tried to act tough, but ended up crying because deep inside, he is a scared sensitive boy. He ended up confronting the thugs, beating them up, and stooping down onto their level. The bandana laid forgotten.
Top: (they guy that's kissing the woman)
An obsessive man who demands everything to be perfect/clean/ in control (white gloves, white room wrapped in bandages, perfect posture) and has issues with other people touching him/his stuff (shown when he picked the girl’s fingers off him as if she’s dirty). At first he is loving and kind, but when his partner does something that he doesnt like, he turned ugly. Unfortunately, the girl decided to be curious and touch his art stuff, and the previously loving relationship turned violent (he chokes her after pulling her fingers off his art). In the end, he hurt her, possibly killed her (blood splattered) and he is no longer in his perfect clean room in his perfect suit, instead he’s wandering along an dirty alley in his bathrobe and slippers, dirty, bloodied and out of control, finally showing his true side that he’s been hiding outside of the perfect facade.
G-Dragon: (wih tattoo at his neck)
A rich and powerful man who is always alone. (at the beginning, comes out of an expensive car with a white men all around, waiting on him. He is shown to be entering an elevator alone, looking miserable even with his opulent surroundings. In his apartment he is also alone, his home barren except for a few furniture that he smashes in frustration. His loneliness is shown as he keeps staring at a phone that never rings. He ended up wandering the streets alone, his extravagant outfit contrasting against 'normal people’, showing that he is of a different breed. In his loneliness, he walked the streets, nobody ever interacting with him, until he finally laid on the asphalt alone.
