I've been gone for months and coming back i was a little overwhelmed but after this video i have FAITH i will bring glory to the emperor with this disgustingly optimal build, luckily i was a zealot and it fits my playstyle perfectly it's almost too good to be true

@@Shinzon23 It went really well! This build is a complete monster at all things horde/trash related with a ton of support to keep your team alive in tough spots. It's not bad at dealing with big things either. As long as someone is able to take out ranged things from far away, it works great. There's only been a time or two that the short range of this build felt like a hinderance. Being able to laugh at hunting grounds events makes it all worth it. 10/10, would recommend!
Little tip for the ult it can knock back alot of the bosses so if you can kite it to an edge you can force it off the map.
I should have mentioned this in the guide, lol. It is super fun doing that!

if you'd want to save a point u could skip holy revenant. restoring faith does a lot of work especially against snipers and crusher/ mauler overheads
It's funny you should say that actually, I was sort of musing over this myself after spending a solid week looking at the tree.
I'd personally be pretty okay taking that point out of Holy rev, taking the two points from Sustained assault and melee node, and using those 3 points total to take TWBS, which probably does a lot for the Flamer and Eviscerator. You'd lose a bit of melee dps but then I could always run Rampage to make it back up.
I've been a fan of Restoring faith since before patch 13. It wasn't as good as holy rev when you could full heal yet it also was totally passive and works really well for chip damage mitigation as well as big damage spikes. Also really extends down time. In patch 13 I think it is the superior choice actually.

Just letting everyone know if you have decent stamina you can reliably spam a block push while carrying power cells and while using the scanner on sample missions but it’s alittle buggy
If you want better options for things like trappers, snipers or crushers, a kant shotgun or revolver can be a good secondary ranged option with long range and the revolver having decent carapace damage. Still keeps in theme with the build, while giving you a few more flex options. Both of them get good mileage out of the emperors bullet skill and the revolver plays well with the blazing piety crit chance increases.
The Blazing Piety + ranged combo is something I am going to explore coming soon... Blazing Piety pretty amazing for weapons with high finesse values.

Well i'm still sticking with my humble Bolter just to act as a Sister of battle type of build,still pretty efficient as well.

This build is absolutely insane for supporting, and cheese boss into a ledge and kill them instantly. I ran into pub game where prayer zealot just insta kill Daemonhost with it for the funny. If you could get T4 bloodthirsty the build is way better but shred is more reliable and easy to get. For those that struggle with crusher, the hand-cannon blessed stub revolver can 3 tap crushers or run bolter. Your eviscerator could horde clear easily so imo having a flamer is not necessarily buy should you have a team with heavy anti-carapace build, flamer is way cooler. Love this build and vid.

Just got back into the game and played a game, can confirm the build still works perfectly.
Also idk but the the cooldown of prayer has been reduced, i dont remember it being able to be used this often compaired to back when this video was uploaded.
The Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude is very useful against the Demonhost I had actually survived after all my teammates basically ran off and left me with the demonhost after activating it. And basically was able to survive long enough for it to vanish. Totally stun locks the demonhost from being able to attack at all and if you have a team that knows what they are doing basically demonhost would be destroyed real quick.

Yknow the more fun thing? if you happen to be on a map with edges that lead to insta-death drops, use it to push the Monstrosity off it. Insta-win XD
recently got nerfed, only first and last pulse stagger monstrosities now which hurts a bit

I think Perfect Strike is amazing for crit Evicerator build. You're already gonna be burning enemies, feels unnecessary to put Bloodletter on. Perfect Strike paired with Blazing Piety/Scourge will help you a lot, especially with mixed hordes or Ragers and Maulers, in which your strikes are usually stopped in contact with them. Great CC
You know that's one blessing I've never touched because it's had a history of being awful, but it's probably worth testing.
My worry with it is RNG - you have no real control over when you crit other than stacking %. My instinct on this is it probably feels great when it works and really bad when it doesn't, but admittedly I would need to test this thoroughly to back this statement up, so I'll do that!
@@theactionwindow5008 it is of course still RNG, but with how high crit chance you can obtain with the current zealot, it's honestly not really a problem at all now, I've been getting push-attacks all the way through big mixed horde like no tomorrow, max crit chance you'd get from Shred and skill tree would be like...75%, which is pretty much every hit. You just spam "push attack->light attack" and ur good.

fan the flames is really underrated on the flamer. especially for this type of playstyle. semi auto fire staggering an entire field of enemies is insane in a lot of areas.

how do you get your hud to look like that where everything is centered or near crosshair?
Almost exactly the build i run, but instead of the three points to go into Holy Revenant, i instead throw those into the Damage Bonus modifier for Chorus (extra damage on the board, especially useful when monstrosities pop up since Chorus staggers them) and the extra two off of Scourge down into Enduring Faith. When youre critting as often as you do with the Zealot, that %50 TDR is almost constant and helps massively for survivability, especially when Shield of Contempt procs on top of that. Or hell, could even swap the Chorus modifier for the other and have more TDR stacked on top of that, which would be very consistent swell thnks to the large amount of Cooldown reduction on crit you get.
I loved the Martyrdom build pre-rework, but this one post-rework is so much better, stacking both the massive damage reduction AND crits together feels so good. Yknow, as long as youre not playing like a donkey lol
Yeah that's the nice thing about the build, the core of it is only 22 points, and after that you can really play about with those last 8 to tailor it to your own tastes. I don't really rate the toughnness DR on Chorus, but I think there's something to be said for the damage buff if you've taken Scourge and a Shred weapon and have the 80% crit rate :D
Imo the Zealot was the big winner of the patch, the tree is so fun and there are so many things you can do with it. Lots of strong stuff as well!

Similar to the zealot build I've settled on, I go with as much survivability as possible. Really happy with the Eviscerator, like the flamer but I often find it's not needed with so many Assail psykers about, so rock a las pistol quite often.
Then depending on the team makeup, might bring a thammer. If someone else can deal with carapace, chorus is nuts.
If you wanted to no soul S tier this build then a rashad with shred and bromentum would probably be the melee weapon pick. But that's so soulless and the eviscerator has been buffed so we're having fun.
Also psyker strength is utterly meta warping right now but I don't expect that to last long

I haven't played around with it much, but a build I came up with opts for the knives instead of a grenade, making the build flawless (if anything can be said to be flawless) when it comes to offensive coverage. You have your melee with evisc (or whatever weapon you prefer), the flamethrower and the knives to cover ranged enemy sniping. I do kinda find it meh overall, but it does allow you to do something about a sniper(s) Swiss cheesing your team and they can't get to him.
I definitely do wanna try a version with the knives once they've had their accuracy fixed, because atm I am fairly certain that they are inheriting the spread stat when they are wielded with the the gun you have equipped, and as the flamer has a fairly large default spread it can be super feelsbad when you quickthrow only to have the knife go wide lol. It does feel like a bug though and not intentional, and when it gets addressed I'll definitely be looking more closely at the knives as I think they are wicked.
I think, like you say, the most "generalised" version of this build (i.e. take all comers setup) would use knives. I also think if you wanted to squeeze every last drop of efficiency out of it you should probably run a Rashad Combat Axe with Shred. You lose a bit of crowd control but do a lot better vs Crushers.
With specialist vs generalist, i think it largely comes down to the party you're running with and then individual preference. With a party where everyone is staying close and working together, the specialised niche is really, really strong since you just have one area of the game locked down and your (good) team cover your weaknesses. But I think in PUGs, going a little more generalist is probably going to net a little more success overall just because WHO KNOWS if you'll get a PUG who knows how to play!
@@theactionwindow5008 Oh, that’s interesting. I heard something about a projectile weapon inheriting the properties of the weapon you’re wielding (I think I’ve heard it talked about with some of the ogryn’s thrown weapons?), but I thought it simply inherited things like +x damage to y enemy.
I don’t know if I saw that phenomena, but I also didn’t test it out extensively I almost exclusively put and, yeah, I prefer a more generalist build in most cases. Builds that I know or think will fill a shortcoming of most pugs.

When I found this video I hadn't even touched Damnation yet, and by now I'm a grizzled old bastard. I'm revisiting this vid to come back to this build and try it out with some better-rolled weapons. This talent loadout was the same as mine, except i took disdain and EWEW instead of backstabber and Scourge...but watching your video scourge is a pretty worth talent imo for the crits. I love spamming my Chorus lol
Same bro :D those talents are definitely good talents, I just found with how quickly I can cool down prayer I just never felt like I needed the passive toughness regen from EWEW, cause any time u get your toughness broken you can just... pray! Backstabber is unfortunately a bit of a tax talent in this build but imo worth it for Scourge.
Hard to go wrong with current Zealot tree though! and glad this build could be of some help

I've been loving this build, but instead of using beacon of purity and the relic, I like the left aura (forgot the name) and the critical dash (also forgot).
This allows me to bully away big hordes of enemies and also obliterate carapace armored annoyances and I'm still just using a flamethrower and evicirator.
Swaping blazingly piety for martyrdom and then stacking wounds makes me even harder to kill and when things get dicey and I start taking damage I will start doing more damage and swinging more often making it really easy to murder open some breathing room for my team
Late to the party but I just started playing recently and wanted to know about curios perks and blessings for this build
Great video! I’ve really been struggling finding competent teammates playing Zealot when matchmaking into level 4 difficulty. EVERYBODY wants to hack and slash melee enemies and it’s impossible to advance through the mission with the ranged unchecked. I am currently on a search to find the best ranged options for Zealot because it’s frustrating when your Vet and Psy can’t fulfill their duties.
You've probably heard this advice already but... try T5 over T4. You'll find the quality of team mates (generally speaking) is so much higher that it might actually feel easier than T4 in some ways. It takes a little longer to kill things and you take more damage if you mess up mechanically, but so much of this game's difficulty revolves around team play and the important of having good team mates that understand that can't be underestimated.
One hundred percent. So frustrating.
Running this same build but with a Kantrael shotgun or a braced autogun in place of the flamer and it lets me be more of a support gunner.
As a trade, I doubled up on taking damage AND dealing crits replenishing my Chorus of Spiritual Fortitude, which has been great in pinches where someone accidentally triggers a daemonhost.
Tried the flamer route and hated it, without a good team you may as scrap it completely. Saw your comment and tried the shotgun and auto gun and I completely tear shit up with this build
Do you think the corruption healing is better than toughness damage reduction?
It's kind of hard to assess what is better in a vacuum, I feel like the Corruption Aura is so unique in what it does - which is turn "definite death" situations into "non-death" situations.
E.g. You have a Veteran in your party and they take a Poxburster blast. If they take a second poxburster blast, they will instagib from corruption damage, whether or not they'd lost a wound. With the corruption aura, the poxburster blast would NOT instagib because the corruption from the first blast would be healed.
I think the Corruption aura is more subtle perhaps on the situations where it saves you or a party member because people don't really think about how corruption makes the game harder to play long term. But it's really strong.
How did you change your UI to have your cd's and buffs in the centre of your screen?
I use mods, namely these 3 to achieve that look:
Custom HUD
Crosshair HUD
Numeric UI
howd u get the health and shield in the middle?
The Vet's 'Field Improv' also interacts with Corruption (5:32). All Health Paks deployed or used by anyone heal corruption. (+ other Pak/Crate boosts). It is weird because all team members need to change the way they use Paks. It is fairly easy to access; between the middle aura and Voice of Command ability. Not gonna call it great.
I did very much forget about that talent when making this vid... probably fairly telling as I never take it on Vet and also forget it exists there XD
I think that's a talent you either love and always take or u just... don't!

If i was using this build i’d sacrifice the flame grenades for throwing knives, gunners, trappers, snipers and dogs are too annoying to desl with otherwise.
Dont you want enduring faith next to scourge? Theres plenty of crits and 50% dmg reduction seems very nice.

faith's fortitude just seems to work way better on damnation than holy revenant in my experience
Just curious, for slightly more ranged option is lawmaker not a good choice, with good aoe and 10 rounds at a time, plus a focus snipe shot, and a special ability to shoot an aoe shell, is that not an alternative, or for more ranged damage you can use the revolver to kill long rangers with high damage
After the last choice, I'd say the Lawbringer is actually a pretty decent choice in this build thanks to the Flechette blessing. The Revolver would also work but then you're relying entirely on Fire Grenades to stop big mixed waves
This is basically my build but I've been using the boltgun which has a nice ads 'sniper' mode to add a little range. That all I really use the ranged weapon for anyway.
I never understood the builds that require certain blessings. Adding that bit of unnecessary RNG into the mix meaning that making that build will take a lot more luck of the draw and or simply storing blessing after blessing till you find the one you want.

In this exact patch I don't love them but they are getting a big boost in the next patch and become MUCH better weapons with some pretty exciting builds :) so hang on to yours if you get a good one!

This is something I actually do but forgot to but in the guide like an idiot. Doh!
Flamer/eviscerator combo was my favorite while levelling and I was worried I'd have to give it up to be effective at high difficulty so thanks for this, definitely gonna run this build. Just one thing, what about curios? It's really hard to find information on curio meta. I'm not even sure what the minimum blessing rating I should be looking for on them is before consecrating
Curios are kind of a preference thing for a lot of people. I generally run a mixture of HP and Toughness blessings on this build, with Toughness being a x2 and Health being a x1.
For perks, my favourites are stamina regen, combat ability regen and gunner resist. +HP and +Block efficiency in some number is also decent.

how to you get all your icons in the middle of the screen is that a mod or in settings?

I’ve been running a smaller build and love the flamer but I’m struggling a bit with the lack of range. What’s the best gun to run instead of flamer so I can take down snipers, bombers, and gunners if I have to. I’m thinking the revolver might me good?
Revolver would definitely be my pick. Synergizes with Blazing Piety, synergizes with Emperor's Bullet (maybe one of the only guns that makes this usually bad talent half decent) has access to rending via Hand Cannon, hits like a truck. Can't go wrong!
Ideal set up for Revolver is, Unarmoured and Maniac for perks, Surigcal and Handcannon or Crucian Roulette and Handcannon. Second combo probably a safer bet long term as I'd be very surprised if Surgical didn't get changed in a future patch. Just a guess but it seems a bit ridiculous in its current state.

only do support when you play with your friends. on pub they just die, no matter what you do 😂
Sometimes it is utterly hopeless. One of the things this build relies on is people staying in Coherency. PUGs sometimes feel like I'm playing with 3 cats who are all incredibly skittish and distrustful of each other. Absolute nightmare in those situations lol

What about the Curio's on this build?
If I replaced the Flamer with a Combat Shotgun, what would you recommend perk and blessing wise?
Lawbringer with Flechette and Scattershot would be really fun in this build. Perks, classic Flak/Maniac for that one.
Curios I run 2 toughness 1 hp. You could do that the other way around. Then for curio perks I like Combat Ability Regen, Stamina Regen, Health and Gunner Resistance as my top picks.

Blessing wise, I run 1 HP and 2 toughness ones.
Perks, i have:
x2 Stamina regen
x3 Gunner resistance
x2 combat ability regen
x1 Toughness regen
x1 Block efficiency.
I'd rather the toughness regen be another combat ability regen or block efficiency, but it's fine for now.
You also can't really go wrong with +HP as a perk, imo

i dont like the flamer it can be very hard to kill some specialist if are 20 of them around you, a good old revolvr could be more usefull for everything, i can kill crusher with 4 shos, kill snipers and bombers, long range is very usefull as short range, you can take crazy ragers with 1 shot too, the eviscerator is a good weapow, i like the knife with multiple bleeding stacks, each bleedin cause 188 dmg on mauler and 2 hits o the back culd kill, i use the same talents.
Its a support build, not a specialist build etc. If you and your team is in trouble just use prayer and let your team handle the rest.

I have taken beacon of purity previously, but it didnt seem to do anything, was it bugged? is there something you need to trigger it?
Should just work on allies in coherency.
It doesn't cure wound corruption (i.e. going down) but it will clear dog bounce, burster, tox flamer, BoN and Poxwalker corruption

No one seems to take martyrdom anymore. Was my favorite part about Zealot. Is it no good anymore?
It is good! The issue with it at the minute is that Inexorable Judgement is overtuned and encroaching on on Martyrdom's design space. When IJ gets tuned down, Martyrdom will shine.
I still run Martyrdom in some builds as well :)
How do you feel the stun grenade measures up to the flame grenade?
The Flame grenade probs has a higher overall ceiling with what you can do with it, whereas the Stun grenade is more of a clutch/reversal kind of tool. They're both good, but I think the Stun grenade is more consistent and the Flame grenade has the bigger value potential.

What are some good stats to get on curios to use in this build?
Blessings, I run 1 health 2 toughness. Works well for me.
Perks, lots of good options. for this build specifically:
S tier - Gunner Resistance, Stamina Regen
A tier Combat Ability Regen, Health, Toughness, block efficiency
B tier Revive speed, Toughness Regen
Then everything else is varying degrees of situational/bad
I've used a similar build since the patch and can affirm that you will carry your team on higher difficulties since it seems psykers think Assail will play the game for them
Assail is absurdly broken atm with how OP it is. Can't imagine it will stay that way for long.
How do you use your flamer the way you do? You move so fast and fire it nonstop while having mobility. I can only use single fire or full burn. But when at full burn Im at walking speed only.
The left click gives u a very fast spritz of fire with high stagger, so it's good to use it a couple of times to buy the time you need to open the torrent.
Another thing is sprint sliding into open torrent (right click) into fire.
You can also dodge slide (dodge left/right/back then very quickly tap crouch) to buy a bit of extra time to open the torrent.
Just about learning the various movement tricks you can do to keep your movement momentum up.

Great build! Unfortunately it turns out Shield of Contempt only applies to teammates, not you. Big sad. That being said I still think it's worth it 90% of the time to take anyway because it's just that good.
Yeah, it got nerfed in patch 14 down to just yourself. Warranted tbh, it's still ridiculously good
Isn't the combat knife with lacerate the best option for getting cooldown to be as fast as possible?
You could run the knife if you wanted, but it wouldn't be to get faster coolddown. Prayer cools down incredibly quickly with the talents shown + Shred blessing. So if you wanted to run the knife it would be a preference thing.
As for me, I don't really like the knife but if you want to use it, go ahead. I'd run Flesh Tearer and Uncanny Strike on it in this build, probably. Or Mercy Killer and Uncanny Strike. You'll find your melee clear will be much slower so you'll have to lean on your Flamer more for that role, but you'll have better mobility and be better at killing Crushers.
@@theactionwindow5008 gotcha yeah I only thought of the knife might be good for this build because I thought it would have the fastest cooldown reduction but if the evis is faster or about the same I'd rather use that lol. I want my mouse's left click to actually last a while lol but I will definitely have to try mercy killer and uncanny strike at some point since I've only ever ran lacerate and mercy killer and I do really like the combat knife tbh. Watched the gameplay video and also used the view of the weapon at 1:09 and I'm pretty sure he's using the Mk II. The MK XV has bigger "teeth" on the side chassis also the Mk II used a side sweep for heavy attack
@@CaptainMetal92 yes but if you put a skin on it it changes the look of the weapon depending on the skin.
@@slayerofthenine8445 I've only seen skins that change the color palette, not the actual model. What I also noticed after posting, the icon of both weapons is different. 100% sure it's th MkII in the vid

I use some mods, they are:
custom hud
crosshair hud
NumericUI
All synergistic with each other, really gives you a lot of customisation options. hope this helps!

Blessings, I run 1 health 2 toughness. Works well for me.
Perks, lots of good options. for this build specifically:
S tier - Gunner Resistance, Stamina Regen
A tier Combat Ability Regen, Health, Toughness, block efficiency
B tier Revive speed, Toughness Regen
Then everything else is varying degrees of situational
/bad

Blessings, Health x1, toughness x2 is what i run.
Tier list of perks would be:
Best - Gunner Resist, Stamina Regen
Good - CA regen, Toughness, Health, Block Eff
Alright/Niche - Corruption, Grims
Everything else is pretty bad for zealot
Got a similar build but i use the charge ability and hammer
Dash and flamer is a nice combo for the AP
@@theactionwindow5008 very much a hulk smash build... not sure if there is a better capstone for the hammer though, maybe momentum, feels good with the crits so far though

Just tried this build in regular Damnation and...sorry but not being able to quickly put down things like shotgunners, flamers, and bombers is just too painful. You can't always rely on your teammates to kill specials for you, and the flamer can't kill those enemies fast enough for my tastes.
Can't say I've personally had any issues playing it on Maelstrom, it's actually boosted my win rate fairly significantly. But to each their own!
If You're having a problem doing any of this just bring the kantrel shotgun.
how do you get monsters in the training arena to fight?
It's a mod called Creature Spawner, very very handy tool that I use to test damage and breakpoints/train with. Would recommend!

Hello mate, I'd look at 2 toughness 1 health blessing or 3 toughness curios for this one. You have a LOT of health damage resistance so you can't really go wrong with more health but toughness gives you more shield vs gunners.
Perk wise, I like Stam regen, combat ability regen and gunner resist on this, a bit of block efficiency is good too. Good luck Pilgrim.

This is pretty much my zealot support build, only difference is that I got the stun grenade instead of immolation and toughness dmg reduction for coherency.

I didn't cover curios in this video. But what I use on this Zealot build is 2x Toughness blessing, 1 times HP blessing.
My preferred perks are:
Gunner resist,
Combat Ability Regen
Stamina regen
Block Eff
Health
In that order of priority.
