Absolutely glorious. Starting my Heresy Dark angels tomorrow and going for airbrush and oils too. Wish me luck. I don’t get on well painting black with an airbrush
go checkout DAILY HERETIC - Miniature Painting who just recently put up a in-depth dark angels tutorial
@@realgitz55 thank you very much!
I've been searching for an airbrush centric-tutorial for weeks based on the Fists yellow, thank you so much! This is what I needed to try and learn some new skills
Great video Richard. Love how everybody can follow and adapt this style. It is easy to follow and looks awesome. Absolutely beginner friendly with very nice results. Fun painting and not frustrating painting. Love your stuff, thanks man.
My my... you are spoiling us! First Blood Angels, then the incredible Dorn and now his glorious sons? :-O I know what I´ll watch tonight!
I would absolutely love to see your approach to the old forgeworld oily/burnt metal iron hands paint scheme!
Awesome video!
I came to the comments to say the exact same thing.
Just makes me want to rush to my paint desk and get stuck in. Your style is like inspirational reality painting. Thanks so much.
Just got my Horus Heresy box today and want to paint Imperial Fists for the first time, this is a super useful tutorial, thank you 🙏
Wasn't sure where to start, the standard Eavy Metal 40k marine style doesn't look like a good fit for these minis.
Not tried oil washes before but will definitely it a go 👍
Great tutorial ☺️, found your hannel recently and you are helping push my skill level. Can't wait for the heresy box set when i get one. keep up the good work 👍
Superb as usual! Would love to see some Space Wolves
Thanks for putting the time into making and sharing these with us!
Looks fantastic, and I find myself coming back to this tutorial and soaking up all the wisdom in it. Will certainly give it a try and adapt it for my Red Scorpions Kill Team next. Thanks for all you do!
Beautiful!
Would love to see how to army paint a night lords scheme similar to this with airbrush and oils.
This made my day. I love these models. I'm planning on doing Imperial Fists, so this is absolutely perfect for me. Thank you sir!
I'm loving this series! Could you do one for the Sons of Horus!?
This! ☝️
Incredible work as always. Thanks so much for sharing.
I completely agree about doing metallic plasma coils. Glowing coils to me implies they are made from glass and that doesn’t make sense for super charged plasma!
Great video as always. I highly doubt I will play space marines in the new Horus Heresy (Primaris Sculpts are too good) but fingers crossed they make rules for some of the other factions that according to lore were around in 30K like Eldar, Orks, Demons etc.
Fantastic video, thanks for sharing your knowledge.
I have been so looking forward to this video. Thanks for the content amazing work, really informative.
Not sure if you know but in PVA (AKA: School Glue in the USA) Elmers School Glue has a clear glue line out now. Exactly the same as the old white but it drys clear.
in case anybody is curious, the Legion transfers have been moved to the GW site.
This model look absolutely amazing, I hope I can replicate it without oils
I would be thrilled to see you do Alpha Legion :)
Hi Richard, first, thanks for making all these fantastic videos! Much appreciated, love your painting style and presentation. Video description mentions Balor Brown being used, but either I've missed it somewhere or perhaps it's human error? Watched the video a few times and can't tell if that colour is used. Ta for taking time to read comment! Happy painting.
Hope to see you do an EC marine! Would love to see your take on the purple!
Fantastic
Legendary!
Will there be a sons of Horus tutorial in this style? Would love that!!
Would love to see a one off Salamander done in your style!
"Everything's going to be metal". Is that you Ultron?
Would love to see you do emperors children, seem tricky to come out looking right
These look stunning...🤯🙏🏼 Tho nothing beats my bloody bois ♥️🔥😍🩸
Love this video, you make it look so easy. Do you have a recommendation for an airbrush?
Hello, I am new to air brush painting, i would love to follow your instructions to paint IF. Can you explain to a noob what
proportions you use between flow imp. and paints?
Beautiful paint job. Your other tutorials, are they by any chance going to be an Imperial fist tank? I think I might be able to replicate this one but tanks scare the living bejeezus out of me.
Do you need to wash the area you applied the microsol to afterwards? Will it react negatively with a varnish?
Would love to see these colour schemes on the likes of mk3 marines, just to see how they work on them.
These looks very good, which base and wash mix would you use for "the bad horus guys"
Obligatory comment to soothe the algoritm spirit.
I'm trying your style your style when i get my Horus box.
Every night I rewatch this wishing I new how to replicate this with Dark Angels in 40k using caliban green, Moot green and warpstone glow...what shade colour? What contrast paint for the wash?....I am lost 🤔
Just been pointed in your direction by a friend and love your style of painting and 'you tubing'! If I may give some some constructive criticism......I really find the paint/over spray on your finger nails distracting!! probably just me and by no means nasty intent towards you! hope that makes sense. Keep up the good work, subbed :)
Lovely. Could you recommend basing using the Vallejo powders (the FW ones are no longer available)?
Wonderful tutorial thank you! Quick question about the mix of mournfang brown and white - it looks almost like cadian fleshtone? Lighting could be affecting how it appears in the video - how would you say your mix compares?
It would probably work fine. It's very similar
Great vid. Do you think it would be feasible to add the sand before the oil wash and use that to dirty it up instead of a seperate acrylic wash?
I normally use enamel washes, do you have to gloss varnish to get a good use out of the oils? I know that it means you can move around the oils more but is it essential? I don’t like using gloss varnish on metals or adding extra steps. And could you matte varnish over an oil wash with a brush? I don’t have an airbrush
Thx for this awesome Video !! May I ask what Primer you use ? Vallejo Black Primer or the good old Chaos Black Spray Can ?
At the moment I am using either Badger (Stynelrez) Ultimate Primer or Scale 75 Surface Primer. The Scale 75 one is very matt, so you have to be a bit careful not to get a texture buildup.
@@demonrich Thanks for the quick answer. Keep up the good work m8 , your vids are so helpful and save me a lot of time.
Honestly, that painting just seems too flawless, very stylized, might have to use these techniques soon...
Hi what gloss varnish do you used , I use an oil wash over a cheaper spray gloss varnish and it striped the paint of the model... Was mineral spirit too
@demonrich Do you have any experience with W&N water-mixable oils? I have some and have used them with odourless mineral spirits on terrain pieces which seemed to work, but I'm a bit worried that they would behave differently than regular oils.
Nice work! Do you have any Necron painting videos for free subscribers on your website or are they behind the paywall? Any tips to painting them with true metals?
Any chance we see HH space wolves?
Noooooo, now I might buy the HH starter set 😭.
I already have one, but I'm still going to buy another :D
@@demonrich It's that good? I'll buy it! Thanks for the content. We learn a lot from this!!
