To your question: to speed up scrolling between the expansions (or any lists), hold SHIFT while you're turning the dial.
Perfect, thanks Peter!
THANKS PETER! I totally forgot about that!
@@BeauTylerMakesMusic I feel like I probably learned it from you or Jef originally! 😉
@@jefgibbons hello, if you had to choose only one: this expansion or KarriemRigginDrum play series?
Hi Jef ! Nice video. This expansion is great. Obviously you enjoy playing with the sounds of Rare Vibrations. It's good to see you enjoying. Best posts from Switzerland. Thank you for your work and for sharing your ideas and talent with us. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely. It is my new #1 expansion for sure. Can’t miss with this one. I’m only a few minutes in on your video but so far so Jef… which means awesome, my friend. ;)
Yes sir! 💯💯💯
Thanks Beau! Gonna watch yours later!
you are my go to for NI reviews. i know its always great production and a non bias review. thank you sir
I think all the vids on these so far have been off the chain and each style and production on these have been so great! Great vid as always Jef! 💯
Thanks Pulse!
Love your musical skills and taste.
Thanks for the inspiration Jef, really cool expansion and how you walked us through it. I love the music from the 80's / 90's where Soul, Jazz and funk kind of overlaps. I think this expansion totally brings up that Vibe.
Sure does! Thanks Lasse!
I been using my mk3 for 3 years and never knew of that time stretching workaround 😱🤯 thank you for another dope video and inspiration!
Held back my excitement for another expansion, but then you started scrolling through some of those kits. Wow. Solid. Hold shift to scroll faster.
AMAZING MAN! I just LOVE your videos! Thanks for helping out me and many more... keep up the good work!
Oh... and I just bought RARE VIBRATIONS this morning thanks to your quick new vid, and... you're right, I'm ENTHUSIASTIC!!!
That’s great, appreciate the support Amrit!
Jef! That was awesome man! Love that expansion too!
Thanks!
Thanks Jeff. Appreciate your content
This is definitely giving me life right now
Great video! Very informative and the pack sounds good too! Thx Jef!
Thanks! Appreciate the support!
It sounds soooo good! Can be NI's best expansion.
Thanks a lot! I love your advices and how you keep building a workflow across your videos! It's helped me a lot
What an awesome expansion! I will adding this to my already large expansion collection (mostly thanks to your demos 🤣) Thanks Jef!
Ha! Thanks Robert! It's a good one!
Can't say I've seen you this giddy over an expansion in a while. I'm sitting here watching your video and laughing about how this thing has you giggling and everything 😂😂😂
Love your videos, so much inspiration! Thank you!
Btw wich is your fav rhodes sound in maschine?
That Bassline is pure nasty Jef..Always a top video from you,so inspiring Sir..Bravo.BSR.
What's the name of that gnarly massive x bass preset, Jeff?
@@Phadddy Thanks guys! It's called Bad Buzz! From the Quest Massive X expansion...
@@jefgibbons thanks!
Thanks for your compelling videos, Jef. Keep up the good work. Quick note, you started with mentioning something like needing muscle memory stuff (like Maschine) for DAW control related to Cubase? You have Live + Push 2, right?
Great Expansion! Great review. Still waiting for your workshops… 😉
Thanks! Which workshops specifically were you waiting for again?
@@jefgibbons I would be first in line if offered workshops on beatmaking. I remember you seeking comments a while back to see if there was interest for something like that…
I received an email about this expansion and went straight to Jef's channel to get a peek. Amazing review and right on time. Ah, Jef, at least on the MIKRO MK3, you can browse faster by pressing SHIFT while turning the encoder! You should try it on the model you have.
Thanks Rony! Yeah, I'll make sure to use that shift knob from now on!
You should be paid by NI Jeff! For your quality video and professional knowledge! Jeremy for red music did a video where he explained how those big brands use people like you! And have a crazy bénéfique on people like you! And honestly he is right! It’s because of people like you that you stick on NI or others!
You should be paid!
I enjoy your videos
Thanks Michael!
Jef your baselines are funky! I'd like to see a video on "baseline Theory" How to make a baseline to fit in with chords.
Great idea Ramo!
It sounds really great. Nice expansion. And also a great video, as always. I do notice that NI are more about expansions these days instead of other libraries. Hopefully they will bring out some other nice (non expansions) plugins. For mostly expansions upgrading to a new version is too expensive. But I will wait till the summer of sound to upgrade my current Komplete 13 Ultimate CE and in a few years I will see what's new with v15.
For sure, they trickle out the expansions for the early adopters, and for those who can wait you’ll find them in the next versions of komplete. Gives people options!
Man that white Mk3 always makes me drool even though I moved away from Maschine.
Many of the Massive patches in these kits are really good. You probably do a video of these hidden treasures.
I know... I could have made this vid 3 hours long! Wish I had checked those though...
@@jefgibbons always another video 😂
But I would find it interesting if you did.
You don't by any chance have a video on how to use the maschine plus as a controller for FL Studio 21. I can't get my head around it haha. I've been using the plus as a standalone for a while now and obviously just got into FL and I want to use them together. I've got my expansions on FL its just linking the plus I'm having problems with. Great videos by the way
Thanks!
Thanks very much Michael!!
Was hoping to see the 9 for 99 promotion this week. Been waiting almost a year for it. Just missed it last year which was the last week of February.
If it’ll return it’ll be in summer, the first one was part of their summer madness promo
It was a year ago exactly! Not sure if they're doing it again... might be worth waiting for!
@@jefgibbons @LemonfaceBeats Looks like they delayed it about 5 weeks past one year. Just got 9, and thinking about adding another 9 expansions!!
Hey J! Any idea if N.I. will be doing another big expansion sale soon? I would love to pick this and a couple other up. Thanks for your videos man, they've been super helpful!
The last one was exactly one year ago today! I honestly know nothing... but it might be worth waiting a bit for. I think it was in March the year before...
i think they do them once a year during the summer. atleast the last 4 years if i remember correctly it was the beginning of the summer, ive gotten 90 % of myne through the sale im a cheap skate and i need all the beer money i can get!
Hello my friend, one question, I see that you changed the ni s88mkii for the ni s61 mkii, is it because the s88 keys are too heavy to work with? I have the s61 mkii and I work on film music, orchestral... and I was thinking of changing my s61 for the s88, I'm not a pianist, and that's why I would like to know your advice and opinion. thank you so much.
Question I would be super grateful if you could clarify - I'm still pretty new to the NI platform - i see that there are some expansions that are not for standalone mode but yet they contain massive patches. Why would I not be able to use those massive patches in standalone? Thanks for any insight - I'm still trying to understand the architecture of the NI paradigm 🤯
I like this better than all the boom bap stuff
What you think about hooking Maschine+ up with Push 3???
Man that would be fun!
Here's hoping NI gives us another Expansion sale like last year's 9 for 99$...
I love the sounds of this product but is it totally futile to buy it if I only own full version of Kontakt and neither Maschine or Battery? I'm on Windows with Cubase 11.
dopee
i never find those sounds in Massive X lol
Very nice but can you tell me wich kind of big monitor you use? An the stand alone Maschine ist it a MK3 or the new model? Regards, Stefan
Check the description, got links for both!
Or at least a video on the tv...
So if I don’t have mashine or kontakt I can just use the samples and loops like any other pack of goodies? Sorry am noob. Have ableton and use my Hammond organ to play through it either direct in or midi. I’m at the learning stage where I don’t know what I don’t know yet
Yes! Check that vid in the description, it goes over making kits you can open in Ableton!
@@jefgibbons thanks!!
Hold your shift key while scrolling for fast scrolling. I'm sure some one said it already=)
Do I need to gain stage again with the expansions from NI if I want to produce a song by using this loops , one shots, and groups thank you.
You definitely want to keep an eye on your levels, I usually try to bring the faders down a bit on every group and watch the output level.
@@jefgibbons love your answer thanks.
hello i can only afford karriem riggin drums or rare vibrations..which one should i take?
Rare vibrations has more musical content, Karriem is all about the drums and drum patterns, so that should help you decide!
@@jefgibbons thank you...i finally find a way to get both...so good ;-)
How do you do the time stretch without the software just with Maschine Plus the way you just did it in this video?
I've got a vid for you on that! czcams.com/video/UV1VoJuxs48/video.html head to the 14:00 specifically, but watch the whole thing for the best tips once I get into the time stretching stuff.
@@jefgibbons 👌🏽 THANKS MAN!
One more question! do you think the Plus can handle the play series if it gets a update to bring the Play series to the Maschine Plus or do you think we need a MK2?
It would be awesome if there was a shortcut for the hardware/M+ like holding a button and pressing Pad 1 amd Pad 2 and then Pad 1 is resampled on Pad 2...
@@Phadddy YES!!!
Can u use it with Cubase 12's sampler track?
Definitely! The loops can be imported… and it would be easy to drag kits into groove agent… I see a video coming…
@@jefgibbons NOW THIS!!! ...is the Content I Need.... as Albert suggested.... There are some fine Grooves on Machine Kits I have...but Cubase integration is a headache ...DO THAT VID JEF!
@@matthoskins7988 Alright! Thanks for the support Albert and Matt!
Maschine time stretching is so unusable to me. I drag the loops into Serato Sample which is far superior when it come to sample manipulation.
Yeah, I wished they would rework that part. And I also would love to have it like Ableton where you can just activate "warp" and the sample length stays the same at different pitches. Should be doable in 2023?
Time for big updates, NI, Akai is running circles around you. All the expansions etc. won't be bought if people decide for an MPC in the first place beause of the extra features...
I do the same with Serato Sample. I never liked the Maschine sampler.
Thanks!
Most welcome Richard!
And thanks for the tip!
