    • @nanaakwasiagyemang8085
      @nanaakwasiagyemang8085 Před 11 měsíci

      If you have 5mg to be given and from the drug trolley 10mg is only available, you will need to code it as medication unavailable. also let us say you have to give 40mg of a medication, and it comes in a form of 5mg, it means you will need to serve 8tABLES/PILLs. but before that ask the patient whether he or should can take the 8tablets, if not, then you dont even have to dispense it into the cup and waste the medication. and once the patient said he is not able to take it, it did not mean that he or she refused the medication, but he cannot take such many tablets at once. so you can code it as medication unavailable- to inform prescriber or something like that. I stand to be corrected @@sushmamgr

    • @nanaakwasiagyemang8085
      @nanaakwasiagyemang8085 Před 11 měsíci

      I think if the medication is regular, it means that patient is taking it regularly, so if there is no start and finish date, then you can still administer, if every other validity details like prescriber bleep number and signature is present and frequency is seen correctly... all that i mean to say is that patient may be hypertensive and taking medication like amlodipine, and you know they will take this medication forever unless there is a change. so if there is no mention of start date and finish date, it does not matter. you simply have to look at the other validity element like prescriber bleep numbeer and signature, once there are there, and nothing else signals you to stop or code the medication, you have to administered.
