I have window 2007..Is there any other method to accurately remove the background of any picture?
Thanks. BUT, when you use the Mark area to keep or delete tool, I only get a collared pencil mark. What do I do to get the straight dotted line you have (for example, when you highlight the stalk)

The 5 images are rotating around a center using the motion path animation. We do not have a tutorial on this effect as it is a little complex to set up.

Request to know if any alternate is available for hyperlink in powerpoint. I would not preferring to use hyperlink in presentation
Hyperlink is used for various reasons & you can use alternate options for each :
1) For navigation within file across sections. You can navigate using Ctrl & S keys to find a specific slide in Slide Show mode. Alternatively if you know the order in which you want to navigate, set up Custom Show and select the order of slides.
2) To link to another file : Open the other file before presenting and switch by using Alt and Tab keys OR Embed the other file into PowerPoint

hi sir 2007 powerpoint are not applicable in set as transperanent picture tool sir..
Hi - the Remove Picture background tool is available from PowerPoint 2010 onwards. The Set Transparent tool is available in PowerPoint 2007 under Format - Recolor - Set Transparent.

Why cant I see the refine box ?
meaning the box with the mark areas to keep, mark areas to remove and delete mark
they do not show at all !!!!
hizabr7 Let me run through the steps involved so that we can figure out where the issue is:
The steps to remove background are 1) Insert picture 2) Go to Format Tab and Remove Background option 3) The picture background is automatically highlighted in purple color 4) The Mark Areas to remove and keep options appear in the menu. Can you run through and check where the issue is?

hizabr7 Possibly you may need to update your version of PowerPoint? Some of the others who reported issues with menus being active resolved it when they updated to the latest version of PowerPoint. Go to FILE > Account > Office updates option and check if your version is something like 15.0.4675.1003
