DJI Avata 2 drone review: Improved video makes it a potent tool for pro creators

The Avata 2 improves just about everything from the very popular original while shaving some dollars off the cost. It has improved video quality thanks to an update to the same 1/1.3-inch sensor used on the Mini 3 Pro. It’s also faster, more agile and the FPV Goggles 3 now have passthrough cameras. The main downside is that the Goggles 3 have limited support for folks who need eyesight correction.

Your videos are just great Steve, can't see how they could be improved on knowledge, content or presentation... but please buy even a basic lav mic to plug into that Rode wireless transmitter and hide it away - it looks kinda odd clipped onto your colour, and even worse with the LEDs flashing away

Really sucks that the old goggles and controller aren’t compatible. As an enthusiast for the first Avata, I was really looking forward to this, but not if I have to rebuy all of the equipment again, unlike going from the FPV to Avata.

I think PotatoJet mentioned a firmware update may be coming for compatibility with the previous goggles so that folks can buy just the drone.
