- Nicole Kidman, born 20 June 1967, is an Australian actress, fashion model, singer and humanitarian. After starring in a number of small Australian films and TV shows, Kidman's breakthrough was in the 1989 thriller Dead Calm. Her performances in films such as To Die For (1995) and Moulin Rouge! (2001) received critical acclaim, and her performance in The Hours (2002) brought her an Academy Award for Best Actress, a BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe Award. Her other films include the box office hits Days of Thunder (1990), Batman Forever (1995), The Others (2001),Cold Mountain (2003), The Interpreter (2005) and Australia (2008). She has been a Goodwill Ambassador for UNIFEM since 2006. In 2003, Kidman received her star on the Walk of Fame. In 2006, Kidman was made a Companion of the Order of Australia, Australia's highest civilian honour, and was also the highest-paid actress in the motion picture industry.

I like this, but i am so surprised that everybody sees a beautiful woman in Nicole Kidman. I don't see it. Perhaps a matter of taste, but the first time i saw her, i was thinking, "She must be a hell of an actress, cause she is so ughly". Imagine my astonishment when i found out most people think she is absolutely beautiful. She looks kind of crazy. The way she talks and moves, like she is acting all the time. Am i the only one?
@@risumotus no you’re not the only one. You hit it right on the button. I find it very contrived like she knows she’s good but she dresses it down with over acting modesty. And to have her play the great beauty Grace Kelly I thought was so tragic because she lacked that charisma, beauty and regality that was undeniably Grace Kelly. There are some actors/actresses that should never attempt to imitate, many have tried and many have failed. Think Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. You just cannot duplicate that kind of beauty and style no matter how good an actress you are.

Just curious because in ALL relationships there are tough moments even with the rich and beautiful....maybe even worse with people who appear near 'perfect' to start with...imagine how Kim Bassinger felt when Baldwin put on 30 pounds, or Antonio B when the beautiful Melanie's surgeries became grotesque or when Nicole realized that Cruise was a tyrannical dwarf to quote Jademm's hilarious remark bellow?
