Joe Dohn i doubt that's the reason. it's the same feeling i get when i see the silhouette of a ship looming out of darkness or fog, or something underwater that isn't natural, like a shipwreck.
+TRAINS_4_FUN Blizzards aren't as cold as clear, sunny days in the winter generally. Snowstorms usually happen when the temps are hovering around the freezing mark.
+Stan Schurman Stan I have to disagree with you bud on this one. This year I was able to capture some video of trains in blizzards not as bad this one, but my experience was that sometimes it can take alot of time waiting for a train to show up. Remember freight trains in my experience don't have strict schedules like passenger trains and can arrive at all sorts of different times. Now imagine having to wait along time as all this snow is melting on you and your mittens, hat and coat. All your stuff starts getting drenced from the snow melting on you. After a while everything you are wearing gets wet and starts to freeze. Try to see how long you can hold your camera when you gloves begin to freeze. It won''t be very long and all that wind isn't helping either. Even your face will start to freeze unless maybe your wearing a water repellent ski mask and gogle, but how silly would that be? lol.
Im kinda lucky my friends and I dont have to endure this kind of weather as often. I remember this snowstorm near Willow Grove, PA. It was horrible man

I have seen 5287 NS on the conrail share assets in Burlington, pretty certain in last last couple years
