- Welcome to Critical Encounters, a podcast about Marvel Champions, a Living Card Game by Fantasy Flight Games. Here we take a good look at that most critical piece of the game, the Encounter Sets. We’ll discuss those poorly understood characters, unfairly labeled Villains, and their various plans to shape humanity and benefit the planet, as well as those so-called heroes intent on thwarting them.
In this special video we have for you photos and videos taken at Con of Heroes 2024 in Roseville MI at the GameZenter by Vardaen (and some others at the end). The Convention was run by players for players and included a bunch of scheduled custom events, had awesome swag, saw a visit from FFG designers and other staff.

This was such an awesome event and I'm glad my wife and I were able to make it.

What a blast! Thanks for taking time to document it for those of us who couldn't make it. This was an awesome snapshot of the people, games, and overall adventure of the Con this year. I'm looking forward to Issue 220 and hearing from all the villains and minions who attended even more now than I was before - especially with faces to names and voices.
I got pretty wrapped up in the games and could have done more and better videos, but you know... I was busy fighting those dastardly heroes.
