Thanks for this video! Billy was a huge hero and inspiration of mine when I was a boy. He was one of several great men who fueled a fire in me that has taken me and my fiddle all over the world. Thanks again, so much!

I just posted the following comment on another Becky Buller "The Barber's Fiddle" CZcams video: I own Ham's Barber Shop on Main Street in Turkey, Texas. Ham's Barber Shop was established in 1911. One of the barbers at Ham’s Barber Shop that was known for more than just cutting hair was Bob Wills, Texas music legend and founder of the western swing band “Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys.” Bob Wills is by far the most famous fiddle player from Texas. Wills was a Turkey, TX native that barbered at Ham’s from 1927-1928. Bob Wills would play his fiddle for customers in the barber shop in-between haircuts, and the crowds often grew so large during these spontaneous fiddle concerts that the barber shop and the street outside were jammed with spectators. Several years after Wills was famous, he brought his entire band back to turkey to play a free concert on Main Street in front of Ham’s Barber Shop. Also, I’m not sure if you fellas are familiar with Joe Bob Barnhill in Nashville (music producer/musician) - he’s from Turkey, Texas as well. Thank you for posting your music video - I'm sure that Bob Wills is smiling from Heaven!

I am so glad Becky Buller asked my dad and his friend, Ed Brown, to share some stories about Billy Womack!! My dad, Fred Sullivan, passed away in January 2021. This is a great way for me to hear a story from his past. Thank you Becky Buller for asking them to do this. I know my dad was excited to make this video. 🎻 - Ashley Sullivan Crook
