Good explanation of a Yod. I have 6 - yes, 6 - of them in my natal chart. Really explains the experience of it. The only way to deal with it, in my experience, is to surrender deeply and constantly adjust. Being attached to any outcome is fatal to the intention. Ugh. Not easy energy to handle!

@@lotusphoenix8 I actually went back to the Solar Fire report my astrologer gave me. It's actually 5, but the orb she used was a little loose. On the tightest definition it's only 2 degree orb. That said, as I've gotten older, I experience the wider orbs. I just stay in dialogue with each planet/asteroid each day...

What a brilliant way of explaining the yod and the configuration for the month.
When you talk about an accident of fate, I am reminded of the struggle between Gollum & Frodo for Sauron’s ring.
It took idk how many years for me to finally understand the yod thanks to your well thought out explanation and sensible imagery of this aspect… Neptune and Pluto inconjunct my natal NNode and I’ve been trying to get my head and heart around this enigmatic aspect in my chart for too long! I guess everything has its time and the time has come for me to open to this interesting aspect in my natal chart. Thanks to you, Christopher! Much appreciation for such an enlightening Master Class in understanding the yod! ❤🎉🙏
I have to agree with what others have written here- that this is a nearly perfect description of quincunxes, and the Finger of God aspect. This is brilliant!. Eventually, I'm gonna have to take a class of yours, because I feel so guilty getting all this knowledge for free (I am an Astrologyhub student; just not one of yours- yet...)! My experience of this time period (which I was not aware was a double quincunx) was what led me here. My experience was a magical series of sudden opportunities that opened into very positive experiences. I had to totally surrender to my intuitive impulses and move very quickly to seize a tiny window of opportunity. I would call it my chance to be "the fairy godmother" in another's story. This experience gives me a very positive take on why this unique energetic would be called "the finger of God" and how allowing our higher self to act in the benefit of another, may bring blessings that seem beyond all coincidence.

I have a Yod in my chart with Chiron at 22 degrees Taurus, Pluto at 21 degrees Libra, and Neptune at 22 degrees Sagittarius, and so I clicked on this video to learn more. I tossed that out the window once Chris started talking about Succession, my FAVORITE show. LOVE your analysis of their personalities and trying to make things fit, but you can't quit. Story of my life!
And that's one of the most important characteristics of the Yod. You just can't walk away from it no matter how much you want to. 😊

In every chart I've seen that has had a strong yod (orb: 0°-1°) I can say from experience and long term observations that the finger of God is, in fact, the middle one.
This I can't wait for. I have no Yods in my chart, but I know a half a dozen that do have one, or even 2 Yods. One that has 2 Yods have both in Venus and Jupiter with Pluto, other the same but with Saturn. Destruction, rebirth, expansion, hard lessons in matters of the heart. Why it took me so long to see it is beyond me, but I finally did. Firstly I had never had heard of one until maybe 2016. Yods are so, fascinating to me. Placements we get in our chart are no mishap, just purpose and intent. What we had coming from past life actions, in part. Looking forward to your rundown on such. I do know that the word Yod is finger, or even hand, (of God) in Hebrew. How exciting!! Bring IT ON C.R.!! 💖🦋💫🙏🌱🌎

Not being in agreement and not being in support. Your brilliant explanation of 'the averted gaze' and the three energies (could have it, should have it, and have to have it) that seems to criss-cross each other, like all the time :) I can so relate to that, having two 'finger of god' aspects , with apex in early cancer. So interesting! HAVE to have it, SHOULD have it, COULD have it (and their associated gazes). I'm feeling all of those, possibly all at once. I can see how these would cause discomfort, as there will never be a fit. Yes, it's uncomfortable. Always have to remind myself to surrender and remember that this too shall pass. As fate will resolve these energies, and there will be balance in the end.

I have a yod in my natal chart that I’ve never really understood so today’s lecture brought so much light. Thanks, Christopher! I can see many events in my life happening as they should (let’s call it fate) but my insistence for a different result (or perhaps resistance, the finger of god is my ASC in Taurus) often means a tremendous waste of energy and a certain sense of frustration.
In the end I accept the results and I’m glad they happened but the clarity you gave today means an opportunity for reflection on the battles worth fighting. If the results are always the same, which situations I could accept right from the start?
I got an angular Yod pointing to my 1H, and ya’ got to look at transits, progressions, and synastry opposite the peak of the Yod.
If not for your masterful storytelling, I wouldn't be encouraged to Reexamine the meaning of my natal YOD, Christopher. What a teacher you are 🤟🏼!

It's blowing my mind just how much this talk resonates - it actually resonates physically. I was in convo with someone not too long ago whose Sun and Venus are quincunx to mine, and I noticed that at certain points in the convo, they actually averted their gaze to look at their hands or something else even. It made me wonder whether the person and I were energetically matched and it's something I'm still turning over in my head.

I have a yod Mars on the MC,to Neptune 3rd Saturn 4th .Pluto activated it 2010 What happened that day was beyond belief everything changed,13 years later I can only conclude it was truely the hand of God that pointed something that had been until that time hidden.

Oh my goodness !! I am so glad you shared this info. :-) I have moon in Leo in the 4th house ( square Venus) . I have been in this apartment for 14 years. I am looking to move to an apartment closer to my son and granddaughter in another city 2 hrs away. My income is low and am not on HUD, yet. I can't believe how much rent has increased. 😳 I am moving forward in Faith/good karma and the fact my credit score is high and I have never been late with my rent. Emotionally i have already moved but am VERY aware of hoping to not be too much of a polly-anna in this whole process. At least my apartment is getting a Great clean and organizing job. Fascinating! I know exactly that feeling when someone averts their gaze. If I know them well, the immediate response is "what?" Coz there's something. And they might obfuscate, but you know there's something. Sometimes, they're just bored, or self-involved of course. The gaze is a very interesting concept, and this idea for astrology is intriguing.

I experience thing like this in my life, no matter how hard I try sometimes I just can't get things to happen, but if I just accept it will turn out however it is going to makes it easier to accept. Sometimes good and sometimes not. The YOD in my chart is Pluto in Virgo in 3rd and Neptune in Sagittarius in 5th pointing to Sataurn in Aries in 10th. And with Saturn is Sun, Venus, Mercury, and Chiron with North Node in same sign but a few degrees away in Aries but in 9th house.

Basically, a "double quincunx would be a midpoint, where the energy from both would be released, or channeled.

Saturn and Jupiter (my day chart’s malefic and benefic) with the apex my Sun.
In earlier days of my Astro learning journey, I first heard the word at a Rick Levine lecture, and a friend likened it to ducks nipping at your heels. A constant irritation. Still not sure I totally understand, though I do know how it has presented in my life, not necessarily in events but in how I think/process my thoughts/desires.
Who first wrote about the “Golden Yod” ? (two 144 & one 72 degree aspects instead of two 150 & one 60 degree aspects).
I find the Golden Yod especially interesting because it is based on 72 which is 1/5th of 360…and 5 is symbolic of humanity 360 symbolic for God.
I have 3, and I know for sure one of them was activated. An unusual incident occured that brought out a Psychic-Medium ability that changed my life. Im obviously very curious what the other 2 will be. I have an idea of what will occur with the next activation, but I'm unsure of when it will take place. Christopher, I've studied astrology for years, but do not know what placements activate a yod. If you saw my chart I think you would find it interesting. Im a Cancer, 06/27/54. Thoroughly enjoyed your video, I've subscribed of course. Also what courses would you recommend for me to take so that I can figure out the timing of my yods. Im a level 5 astrologer. Ive studied astrology off and on for 47 years
Wow. So cool! (I’m born 9 days before you on the 18th! Another 9 day)
Finding a You is easy. Let's say you have the Sun in Gemini. Go to the zodiac sign opposite Gemini which is Sagittarius. Let's say you have nothing in Sagittarius but you do have a Jupiter in Capricorn and a Mars in Scorpio. That's a You which is basically an iiscsceles triangle. So the formula is look to see if you have planets in signs flanking the sign opposite the planet you're looking at. If you do you have a Yod. But the orb is usually pretty tight - like 2-3 degrees. 🙂
So the focus point is the SUN. Mars and Jupiter opposes the sun. So Jupiter and Mars will work together to find a way to meet the Sun. Am I understanding this correctly.
