      They're not Hindu as is being advertised as their first names are Brondon (I knew Brandon, but Brondon?) and Christine. More likely, they're converted Guyanese Indians. I doubt they're full-blooded Indians either as many of the people in the video are, to me anyway, clearly racially mixed.

    • @deepikasingh9220
      @deepikasingh9220 Před 11 měsíci +1

      @vikramsoondur6891 You are being very ignorant Vikram. I'm going to break this down for you with an example. Recall the continent of Europe. It has many tiny countries within it and they each have a culture and genetic makeup that is similar to the countries around them, but they are not identical. Because each country is segregated within borders, they have cultivated a cultural and genetic uniqueness. Now recall the subcontinent of India and compare it to the continent of Europe which is comprised of many tiny countries. Each of the many regions and groups of India has a unique dialect, culture and genetic makeup, that although similar to those Pan--India, are not the same. The reason why the genetic makeup is different in each region or even in each village in India is that the country was the genetic crossroads for West Eurasian, Central Asian, East Asian and East African and Melanesian groups. To be Indian is to be a combination of these groups, there is no such thing as a pure native-blooded Indian.
      The indentured Indian labourers were from MANY regions in India. They each had a different genetic, linguistic and cultural makeup. The borders of their segregated villages and regions were removed. This is why Indo-Guyanese people are Indians with such a rich blend of Indian DNA, we are exogamous (married different types of Indians), but are still very much genetically Indian. When you see an Indo-Guyanese person like the individuals in this video who have a different phenotype or "look" compared to an individual from a specific village in India, it does not mean they are mixed. If you think an Indo-Guyanese person is mixed with black, you are probably seeing Tamil DNA within them. If they look mixed with Chinese, you are probably seeing Bengali DNA within them. There are in fact mixed-raced Indo-Guyanese individuals, but the majority of the Indian population in Guyana is full-blooded Indian.
      As for your accusation that they are likely converted Guyanese Indians, you are wrong. Indo-Guyanese people have maintained Sanatan Dharma to a great extent and we are proud Hindus. We have even preserved Hindu practices and knowledge not just from North India, but also Tamil/Madrassi Hindu ones even after all of these years. The reason why some Hindu Indo-Guyanese have English first names like the couple in this video is because of the desire of the parents to help their child adjust better to the western land of America. It is Westernization, but it is not a rejection of Hinduism. Many Indo-Guyanese people with English first names will have done a Namakarana Sanskar with their pundit to get what Guyanese people call a "book name" which is used to refer to them during pooja. Their Hindu name may also be their nickname or middle name. Instead of making accusations based on inferences, take time to ask questions with an open mind and heart, communication is always better than making judgmental comments influenced by negative and false biases.

      You are very strange!!!
      In what Hindu wedding have you seen where the people are not guided by the Pandit or any other religions wedding where the people are not guided by the appropriate officiant????

    • @septleaves8521
      @septleaves8521 Před 7 měsíci +1

      What’s a converted Guyanese Indian????? Here are some facts to clear up your ignorance and bigotry and educate you.........
      Since Guyana was a British colony, it was required to have an English calling name in addition to your Hindu first and last names ####
      Hindi was forbidden to be spoken so they lost the language skills but it was taught and spoken secretly in hidden places but people were mostly afraid to be caught ####
      The Indians there came from diverse places in India and they inter-married and they were not so strict in honoring the caste system although it did happen with certain communities####
      In some parts of Guyana, the people are white skinned with light eyes and they look like North Indians (lots of Sikhs, Punjabis) or dark skinned South Indians ####
      In Guyana and Suriname (Dutch Guyana), the people are about 95% pure Indians, sometimes mixed with Afghani blood (Afghani soldiers were exiled there). In Trinidad and other countries in the area the population is highly mixed but regardless, they always kept their Hindu or Muslim faiths #####

      People doesn't marry every day, so that they ll do every thing themselves. Once in a life in Hindu marriage happens. Hence they need to be guided every time. God bless the couple. Live forever happily.
