    I went here in 1990 too. Dubrovnik. I will be going back. I remember the money and we had so much of it, my Dad would joke that we’re millionaires on holiday and I still have some of it when it was Yugoslavia. It was a beautiful place. 🥰🥰

    Great video by this British reporter! It summarizes what this part of world was 30 years ago in 7 minutes. It has a pinch of British arrogance but I love it that way 🙂

    This is the type of tourism as it should be....a lot of people, but not overcrowded. Ah, good old days in the 80-ies, i remember them with such a joy.

    There is shitload of beaches just not sand. Which is perfect as sand is nasty, dirty and gets in everywhere. Its beautiful pebbles beaches and tons to choose from. Crikvenica has sand and pebbles

    Inflation was the main reason why this state collapsed two years later.

    • @dzonikg28
      @dzonikg28 Před 2 lety +6

      No it was not.. Because inflation was stoped in January 1990..it was sure not the reasons.. Yugoslavia had highest living standard off any socialist country then so if you think economy was reason off war then all communist country should had them 2.. Real reason was first democratic elections in 1990..so to get more votes politic partyes used nationalistic stuff and that started spiral that was going faster and faster.. I am from Serbia and I went to holiday in 1990 to today's Croatia, then was still Yugoslavia.. We still had no idea that just 1 year from that there would be war

    When are people going to get over the love affair with "Former Yugoslavia". It died in the early 90's, way overdue. Does anyone still call Russia or Ukraine, Former Soviet Union? WTF? Get over it.
