I like the model color range since the beginning. Glad to see them improved (not that it was necessary)
But why you have not put agitator balls inside? This would be the cherry on the cake. :)
Absolutely!
An agitator ball means less product👎🏻👎🏻. Use your own balls and youre done!
Hello HaWior! Thank you for your comment and feedback. Our new formula doesn't need an agitator ball because, with a gentle shake, you will be able to mix the paint to the desired and perfect consistency. Also, just as Lubeck said, now you have more paint available with our new bottles so a ball would have meant less product :)
It would be nice to see a gap in the label, so you can see the level of paint left in the bottle
I just remove a small ribbon from the label in the back.
Hello Pheasant! Thank you for your suggestion ;) We have included a label without gaps, but we hope that the transparent bottle now easily helps you to see how much product is left and what color it is 😊
I would like that very much! Get rid of some of the ugly fine print.
Angel Giraldez is the man💪 Spanish water for life!!
❤❤❤❤❤,Spanish water is available for everyone hahaha
This is excellent news. I am quite excited to hear this!
Thanks a bunch for your comment Krzystof! 😊 We hope you can try our new colors soon :)

Hola Johnny!

Thank you so much for your comment Gordon :)
I only use and own many bottles of Vallejo. I find it to be my paint of choice and look forward to the new paint range.
Wow! Thank you so much for your comment and trust Bryan ❤
😍
Thank you so much for your comment, Lubeck Lee! ✨
Good video - it really helps explain what has changed ! As a retailer, I wish they had been given new barcode numbers, or even completely new product codes (there hasn't been any consistency in this, each range updated seems to have been given a different treatment).
Also, you might want to check the settings on the machine that screws the lids on. Too loose and they leak when transported (I've had a couple of boxes of Game Washes damaged that way), but too tight and the top of the lid cracks off (which happened to some of the Model Colour a few months back).
But Vallejo are still my favourite paints for brush painting, both as a retailer and a modeller :)
Thank you so much for your trust and feedback Sean! Please, regarding the problems, have you reported them to our Vallejo colleagues? Please, don't forget to do it so they can do their best to improve the issues and offer you guys the best experience and product you deserve! ❤
Love my AK 3rd gen paints, but am very keen to try these new model color paints. Hola from Australia, amigos.

Dear Valllejo team,
I have used 70.904 Gris Azul/Blue Grey frequently and it seems it has been removed, what would be the closest equivalent with the new range?
edit: also the links to the new color chart do not work, could you update those, thank you
Never change Model Air's thickness, I love using it with a brush, lovely thin layers.
Putamadre los amo tanto
Hello Oneo! For now, Model Air formula remains unchanged ;) Thank you so much!
JAJAJAJA ❤😂@@tomvaldez447
I've found your paint range excellent. It's hard to believe that these paints could be even better.
It would be nice to see mixing balls inside someday.
the only thing that saddens me is the new cover, it’s terribly triggering to military actions
(if you don’t re-release a new version, then I’ll have to paint it over with a marker on each can)
Thank you so much for your comment and feedback, Yusia! 😊 We are sure you'll love our new colors 💪🏻
Great to see, however from a hobby shop owner's perspective, discontinuing most of the transparent colors as well as gloss white I think is short sighted.
Also, I see that many of the new colors are copies from the Panzer Aces range. Is the Panzer Aces range going to continue? Or is it going by the wayside eventually?
I love the transparent colors, too! I assumed that if they were being discontinued that I was the only one. Are they usually good sellers?
@@BwsabAll I carry in my shop for paint is Vallejo (other than Tamiya spray cans). SO the car guys use the transparent colors for lights and such on clear parts. But even armor and aircraft builders use for lights as well. Trans Green for armored glass, etc, etc. Very short sighted IMHO to get rid of some of these colors.
Sure, I can explain to them that you can take glaze medium, add a color to it and make your own transparent colors. But then I have to explain that to everyone, as well as the customer having to buy 2 products to do what one ready made color did already.
Hello Viper! Thank you so much for your comment and feedback ✨ Transparent colors have been removed from the assortment, except for Smoke and Woodgrain. Same with FLUO (but they are not relocated to the new GAME COLOR range). Regarding Panzer Aces, some of them have been included in the Model Color collection :)
@@vallejocolorsright, and like I said, short sighted. A lot of auto modelers use the transparent colors for lights on vehicles. Lots of aircraft and armor modelers the same. Now there is nothing.
Sure, I can explain to people how to make their own transparent colors with glaze medium and a paint color, but then customers are then having to buy another product, when there were perfectly good ready made ones in the line already.
And yes, while you are moving some of the panzer aces colors to the model color line, you seemed to have missed light rust, track primer, light and dark rubber, leather belt and dark mud.
Hello again@@viper29ca For those auto modelers, we can recommend our Premium RC range. Our Premium RC range features some Candy color references. They come in a transparent and polyurethane formula, which is perfect for giving their vehicle models that extra pop ✨
So exciting! Any ideas when this will be available in Australia?
Hello Jonkronn! We hope this range to be available early April but this ETA may vary :)
Have you partnered with any CZcamsrs to test the range?
RIP OG VMC you will be missed 😢
Hello Z0M77! Is the new Model Color like the old one? Nope, it’s even better, trust us! 😊
is the white grey coverage better?
Hello RAzyrazer! Thank you so much for your comment 😊 Opacity has been improved to provide a more consistent experience in terms of color coverage power 💪🏻
Very exciting- when will we be able to buy them in the US?
Hello Nathan! Thank you for your comment 😊 Some stores already have them in stock but the official ETA is end of this month, early April (this may vary) :)
Seems like the gold standard became even more golden.
We hope you can try it soon ;) Thank you so much for your comment!
Please sell the complete range in a set box. ❤
I hope Ice Yellow and Black are the same!!!
Thank you so much, Kovalik! They are ;)
I wonder if they will do the mecha colors next.
Why not! Not for now but who knows what next future holds :D
Vallejo paints are amazing and I got the game color paints soon as they came out. Can you please explain the difference between the new upcoming model paints and the new game color paints?
Hello Okayge! 😊 Game Color was created to satisfy the needs of fantasy figures, fantasy armies, modelers, with bright and highly saturated colors, so that color was not a problem in this type of figures. For that reason we released our Xpress Colors so armies can be painted in record time for wargames. Its finish is matte and the consistency is creamy. On the other hand, the Model Color range was conceived for all kinds of figures, including historical and military (for this reason, we have included standardized color references so that historical precision is maximum when painting airplanes, tanks, camouflages, etc.) , fantasy, skin, etc. It also has a matte finish with a creamy texture for brush and airbrush use - anyway, you already have Air versions for these two ranges, so you can use them straight from the bottle with your airbrush. For this reason, the MC range has 220 references, being the most numerous currently and one of our proudest and worldwide known creations in scale model painting!
me gusta vuestro video explicativo.
Any chance the surface primer gets a revamp?
Hello! If this happens, don't worry ;) We will keep you guys in the loop through our socials! 😉
thx. looks nice. do you have a date of restock from mega bundel Game color ?
Hello Fjdexx! Thank you so much! We still have no mega sets for GC but when this changes we will le t you know through our socials :)
Are the new colors exact matches as the old formula or do they differ slightly?
The colors that are maintained retain the same tone, name and reference number
I'm just trying to resist the temptation to swap out my entire assortment of "old" colors for the new one... but that would mean my financial ruin;)
Still love Vallejo products to paint my models and I'm not going to change that either 😁😁
thank you so much for your support and trust 😊❤
Are all the 2024 model colors identical in color/pigment to the old model color range?
Hello Andord! Your question will be answered in this video ;) Enjoy it!
Judging from the new Game Color Range, they're very close, most are nearly identical, but there some that are just a little bit different, for example the yellows. The Sun Yellow of the new Game Colors is quite a bit different to the Sun Yellow of the old Game Colors, but that's just due to the new materials. It's nearly impossible to hit the exact tones 100% 1:1 on every single color. It's just not possible.
Hello Androd! Yes, we tried to maintain the identical color :)
Will there be bundles of these colors? Which were the newly added colors? And finally, are the bottle dimensions the same to fit in existing paint bottle racks?
Hello Dustin! For now we must wait for cases and complete sets for this new VMC version. You can look at the new colors in the video and the color chart (link available in the description box). Yep, the bottle size stays the same but now you get more paint in each bottle! 🤩💪
Are they available for purchase anywhere? If not, when is the release date?
And there any plans to release a case like the previous generation?
Not yet. Usually it will take a couple of months. When they advertisted the new Game Colors one year ago, it took almost a year until they were really everywhere across the board. Most dealers also just want to sell out of their old colors before they order the new ones. So it also depends on your local dealer.
@@yerushalaimnehereset I figured this was going to be the case, but when I saw Jaume Ortiz rave about them I said, “I need the whole range” and hoped for the best.
@@thesugarstookmyfootWell, I don't know where you're from, but if you're from Europe, you shouldn't have big trouble to get them for a great price. For example PK Pro is the biggest European Retailer when it comes to hobby supplies and he 100% has always everything day 1. People across europe buy there. PK Pro is outstanding. (I'm myself from Germany).
If you're from the US, I know its harder to get your hands on them, but you should look around for a dealer. If you take the entire range, he might as well make you an offer you can't refuse. I just don't know any dealers over there, that might do that.
They are out, but migration into the existing inventory system will probably be slow as distributors are going to want to sell off the old bottles. As a hobby shop owner I think I have seen one color come in that has been restocked that are the new version.
I saw on a Reddit post that the following colors…
70.900 French Mirage Blue
70.903 Intermediate Blue
70.867 Dark Blue Grey
70.973 Light Sea Grey
… as well as a few other colors have been removed from the range. Are there other replacements for these or do they exist elsewhere in your other ranges?
I don’t understand why these colors have been removed. I use 70.903 Intermediate Blue often in my work and I hope there is an equivalent for these colors.
Hello Charles! Some have not been discontinued but included in other ranges. Crack Medium is not discontinued as a product, as it continues to exist in the Auxiliary range. Transparent colors can be replaced with Game Ink or Xpress Color colors, with similar results. The patinas can be replaced with Model Wash or Game Wash, with similar results. Fluorescent colors are included in the Game Color range and last but not least, here the colors removed from this range:
70.842 Blanco Brillo / Gloss White
70.910 Rojo Claro / Orange Red
70.839 Azul Ulttramar / Ultramarine
70.900 Azul Francés / French Mirage Blue
70.903 Azul Americano / Intermediate Blue
70.942 Verde Claro / Light Green
70.857 Oliva Dorado / Golden Olive
70.973 Verde Gris Medio / Light Sea Grey
70.912 Marrón Amarillo / Tan Yellow
70.904 Gris Azul / Blue Grey
70.834 Madera Natural / Natural Wood Grain
70.937 Amarillo Transparente / Transparent Yellow
70.935 Naranja Transparente / Transparent Orange
70.934 Rojo Transparente / Transparent Red
70.938 Azul Transparente / Transparent Blue
70.936 Verde Transparente / Transparent Green
70.853 Pátina Blanca / White Glaze
70.832 Pátina Verdín / Verdigris Glaze
70.831 Pátina Ocre / Tan Glaze
70.854 Pátina Marrón / Brown Glaze
70.855 Pátina Negro / Black Glaze
70.730 Amarillo Fluorescente / Fluorescent Yellow
70.733 Naranja Fluorescente / Fluorescent Orange
70.735 Magenta Fluorescente / Fluorescent Magenta
70.736 Azul Fluorescente / Fluorescent Blue
70.737 Verde Fluorescente / Fluorescent Green
70.598 Medium de Craquelar( Auxiliar)
When will these be in store?
The official ETA is end of this month, early April :)
Since Model Color is my absolute favourite, I hope you don´t chance it to much 😀
Hello GuitarHero! You'll love them ;)
I am hopping supplies will be more available than for the game colors. The new line of game colors were awesome but were very hard to find for a long while and many colors still are in the United States.
Hello Henry! Thank you for your feedback. Could you please let us know which colors you are having trouble finding? Our GC range has been available for quite some time now and you shouldn't face those problems :) Ty!

@@vallejocolors Thank you for the leads!!!
Personally ...I'm worried. lol
I'm a 3d modeler who's spent the last few months trying to find the best paint for painting his 3d prints. And so far, I've found that Vallejo paints are far and away the best paints for 3d models: the paints go on consistently, they cover the model perfectly, they have a WIDE selection of colors, the dropper bottles are wonderful. etc. Vallejo is my first choice in paint. However, I can be very, very, VERY particular about my colors, especially my blues. I like bright, saturated blues: think Sonic the Hedgehog with the saturation turned up on the monitor. And as far as I can tell, Vallejo doesn't really have a Sonic blue that's as saturated as I'd like. It does have a lot of great blues (Blue, Royal Blue, Dark Blue), but they aren't as bright as non-Model paints (like craft paints or artist paints) that I've compared them to. And I don't like to use non-Model paints because, well, they don't go on the model anywhere near as well as Vallejo.
Fortunately, there are some solutions to this. :)
1) Use Model color, not Game Color. Model Color paints tend to be primary colors, Game Color paints tend to be closer to the colors you'd want for Warhammer 40k. (Though, there are exceptions.)
2) Mix your paints with Model Color Ultramarine. This is the most saturated blue paint in the Model Color line, any paint mixed with Model Color Ultramarine becomes brighter.
3) Model Color Transparent Blue. This blue paint is magic! Paint your model with one of your favorite blues. (I usually use Model Color Royal Blue.) Then, apply one or two layers of Transparent Blue, and BAM. The saturation of the model's blue will EXCEED any other blue! It's awesome! Seriously, as someone who likes his blues saturated, this is the magic ingredient to make it happen.
4) Though unrelated to the discussion of saturated blues, I also love using fluorescent paints. I have a blacklight for parties, and I love making my models glow! I right now have a Game Color Fluorescent Yellow, and one of my next paint experiments is to try some Model Color Fluorescents to see how they compare.
Well, I just checked the Vallejo website to see what paints are included and not included in the new Model Color line. And guess what colors aren't included anymore? :
Model Color Ultramarine
All the Model Color Fluorescents
MODEL COLOR TRANSPARENT BLUE
Wh-- I don't-- GAAGGGHHHH!!!
Now, there are many possible solutions that would make this not the end of the world:
1) If the saturation of the best Model Color blues (Blue, Royal Blue, Dark Blue) have been pumped up to 150% (or even 125%) in the new Model Colors, then that would be amazing and solve all of my problems. Seriously, getting the blue I want with one paint instead of mixing or layering would make things SO much easier. So if that's what's going on, then Vallejo is brilliant and I'm in.
2) I've found that Model Air Blue is almost identical in color and opacity to Model Color Transparent Blue. I prefer Transparent Blue because it's not as watery to paint with a brush (for obvious reasons), but I do have a backup if Transparent Blue disappears off the face of the Earth.
3) I'm still learning what works and doesn't work, and there are still paints that I have yet to try that might be the key to getting nice, saturated blues: I still haven't tried Game Ink Blue or Game Wash Blue (though I have hesitations since I like Matte paints and Game Colors tend to be shinier), and I still haven't tried a few other brands (like Army Painter or AK), it's certainly possible that there are more ways to get the nice saturated blues I love.
Again, this isn't necessarily the end, Vallejo makes great paints and I know I'll keep using them (Model Color Dark Vermillion is the perfect red! And their yellows! And how easily they go on the models!). And I love that the new line is more matte, more opaque, has more paint in each bottle, and has clear bottles so you can know what you're getting! There are a lot of upsides here, and I'm going to buy a few of these paints when they come out to see how they compare (Blue, Royal Blue, and Dark Blue, of course). But.... I spent months trying different Vallejo blues to find the exact one that I was looking for (I bought 13 Vallejo blues just to test each one out), and I found Transparent Blue literally just a few weeks ago and it solved all of my problems. So to discover that it's being discontinued now, so soon after I found it, and now I have to start the search for a great saturated blue all over again, is .........aggravating. GAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH
Hello Bwsab! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us ✨We appreciate your feedback and are glad to suggest some solutions that we think you might find helpful.
1. We recommend trying our new GAME COLOR blues, which we believe you will love.
2. Additionally, our new Xpress Paints are a great option for creating washes or glazes. They work particularly well when diluted with Xpress Medium or water. We encourage you to give them a try and let us know what you think! 🩵
3. Last but not least, the FLUO colors have been relocated to the new GAME COLOR range so you can find them there from now on :)
We hope all this info helps! Thank you! ✨
Can someone please explain the difference in performance to these new Model Colours and the new acrylic game colour range that just came out? Thanks!
My lgs happens to have a couple of the new Model Color pots so I naturally had to get them. They feel exactly the same as the new Game Color that released a while ago.
Hello Admin! 😊So, ok, here you have some useful info ➡
Game Color was created to satisfy the needs of fantasy figures, fantasy armies, modelers, with bright and highly saturated colors, so that color was not a problem in this type of figures. For that reason, we released our Xpress Colors too, so armies can be painted in record time for wargamers. Its finish is matte and the consistency is creamy.

Wow, that means a lot to us, Andy! Thank you so much for your trust and your constant support ❤ We promise to keep working hard so you can always rely on our colors :)
This is interesting and good news, I guess it's time to get some new paints. I've been steadily using Vallejo Model Color paints since late 2000 when I discovered Jennifer Haley's original website, The Paintrix. There I learned of how she painted her figures and what paints she used; Vallejo represented a big step up from the very cartoony colors of Citadel paints. I'm happy to see things have improved recently for my favorite paint range, time to paint more and worry less!!
Wow! Thank you so much, Max! We're stoked to have been a part of your creative journey since 2000! 🥰 We really appreciate your loyalty and trust in our products over these years and we hope you love our new colors and find them totally awesome to use. Thanks for choosing us, you rock! 👏🏻

GAME COLOR shades are created for fantasy and scifi models, due to they include very saturated colors. Model Color is used for every type of model. Both ranges have MATTE FINISH. Also, Model color has standardized colors so you can use them for your military models, vehicles, uniforms, ...
Should be no difference in the finish of the new game and model color lines; just the game color line is more vibrant and saturated. Note the old game color had a satin like finish whereas the old still/current model color line is more matte.
. Both are matte .
Varias preguntas me surgen:

They are acrylics or Vinylics... just for paintbrush?
Hello Blumax :) The Model Color paints are acrylic and can be thinned for airbrush use. However, we recommend using Model Air for airbrushing, as you won't have to deal with thinning ratios. Model Air paints can be used straight from the bottle to the airbrush cup 😊
Makes me wish i was a flgs so i can sell your products
One small thing. If you are going to subtitle a video, you need to slow it down. Way too many times I missed what was written. In general Spanish speakers speak faster than English ones so it just gets sped up a little too much. Looking forward to trying them
Hello Will! Thank you so much for your comment and suggestion! Unfortunately, we cannot change the speed of this video, but you can now change the speed of any CZcams video. Just hover over the player and click Settings. Click Speed. Select the speed at which you'd like the video to play. Thanks for sharing your suggestion! We'll definitely take it into account for our next time. We hope the info helps you out! 😊

He probado Vallejo y AK,
Another reason to not move away from Vallejo as The Standard in model painting. 👍🏻
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Por cierto Angel deja de hacer Tríceps 😘
The simple aesthetic of the previous model color label is so much better than this new one. They look so classy on display. Whats the point of having a random mini behind the name, it just clutters the label...
VMC was used back in the day for historic and military miniatures when scale modeling was just starting out. It seems the label design is now a nod to that old-school vibe. Looks good imo!
@@LubeckLee I'll just stick to the original model color line until it disappears lol
