    The TLR Typhon doesn`t have Aluminum chassis braces because racers usually don`t wan`t that. Some even remove the mid chassis braces completely to give it more flex to adjust the car to the track. This Buggy is more or less an entry level race roller. Sure you can use it as a basher, but there might be better options for that purpose.

    Love the colour! Wish I could get the top for my Arrma Typhon 3s (with red top)

    I have started to race with one. And the guys from the track are amazed with how well it handles. I find it rather fun. Responded well to shock oil change and diff. Good starter racer also. I should take some videos of me a noob racing.
    Love your reviews or discussions on RC

      Serpent 8 scale buggy is sick as well. The serpent 8scale Truggy is WAY better than the Kraton RTR and I have both.

    Maybe you should have gone with the Hobao VS2 roller.
    Edit: Well the supply chain/shipping thing is unfortunate.

    Please try a lightweight setup before you add metal braces and other heavy stuff, 4s only with something advanced like a XR8 pro with enough turbo timing will give you amazing power and speed, and it'll be much much lighter fun and nimble than a 6s setup with the Spektrum 150

    Great unboxed'ing😊 Good point on the battery. Seen too many folks having issues with the bodies because of battery sizes.

      I've had that issues a few times. Go to drop in two 3s lipos and found out they don't fit. The Tattu 6s pack fits perfect.

    You know how everyone uses the typhon 6s shocks for the big rock?? Would the tlr tuned shocks fit the big rock too then?

    Nice buggy 🤩 I'm not a fan of the color, but everything else is spot on! My V3 Typhon is lightened with all kinds of M2C and CF so it would have been really nice to be able to just buy this as a roller years ago. Will be interesting to hear your thoughts on the Hobao buggy. I have seen one unboxing of the 80% version and it looks really good too 👍

      UPS has the worse tracking ever. Last night at one point it was showing "Returning to sender" and now its saying "it is on it's way". So I have no clue. lol

    Looks like a really cool buggy. I'd be interested to know how some budget electronics work out in it. Aka surpass hobby stuff.

    IF you wanted a roller buggy why didnt you go with one of the more race makes? Like Kyosho or Losi ?

  • @williamperri3437
    @williamperri3437 Před 2 lety

    Yeah, it needs the better braces.

      I love Ho Bao as well and you should consider the Serpent buggy to compare all 3. Serpent stuff was like kit quality in RTR before everyone else.

    • @yonicozac
      @yonicozac Před 2 lety +1

      I don't think so, those are more then enough, and light weight

    • @williamperri3437
      @williamperri3437 Před 2 lety

      @@yonicozac what the braces? If so, you are probably right but it's just the fact that the EXB comes with aluminum chassis braces and he was kind of just saying it would be an extra really nice touch to complete an unbelievable RC. Also, some of us really like to jump and if you don't know how to set your punch and breaks correctly it's very easy to nosedive! 😂
