This was exactly my reaction and thoughts about A-Men 3 years ago! But today, after finishing 2 Bottles and have another 2 in my collection, for the first time in my Fragrance journey, I was thinking of having a SIGNATURE SCENT, and it's A-Men that I am trying to make such. It's beautiful, mass appealing, compliment magnet. Beast Mode too.
Very beautiful dry down. And what's more, it's cheap for what you are getting. And it's very complex because it keeps changing through out its life. If you pay attention to it, you will pick about a dozen or more notes, one after the other as it dries down. So thank you Nikhil Bhai for rekindling our love for this excellent gem.
An absolute masterpiece of a designer fragrance.

Great review. I had the same reaction when I first tried it years ago. It was the Tar note. However, it's now a love for me. I don't even get much of the tar bite anymore.

I just bought it...wanted to get a new fragrance, did some blind tests in the shop and in the end it was this vs. Givenchy Pi...it was such a tough choice but there is something about this Mugler fragrance that's hard to put in words
Same here..first try it totally smelt like garbage to me, but i kept trying at stores,because i wanted to understand what everyone is talking about,second try, hated it still, third and forth, same, the magic of understanding this scent come about the 5 try, today out of 300 frags, it is my favorite of all time, masterpiece. nice video sir, subscribed 😊
I was introduced to this masterpiece Angel Men about 30yrs ago, and I had finished three bottles of 100ml. I actually enjoyed it so much, but I also noticed that it attracts bees in spring time LOL. Are they still popular among perfume lovers?

Hi. Can you help with the names of some perfume stores which have good collections and sell genuine perfumes? I don't seem to find Mugler and a few other brands in the stores I visit and multi brand stores like SS and Lifestyle.

I have a bottle of vintage Angel Men. Thierry Mugler changed the name to Amen after a lawsuit back in 2007/8. Angel Men is lighter Blue in colour, and has more of the tar note. I prefer it over Amen 'which i also own'. Check it out if you can find it 👌
TM bottles were around several years after that. He sold the brand and took his name "Thierry" away and it became just "Mugler." I think this was around the time of Ultimate. There are no TM Ultimate from what I know.

90% of the people who hate this fragrance, HATE this fragrance 😅.
Also, I agree with you about the reformulation BS with AMEN. I've got 3 bottles of the most recent MUGLER formulation, and it smells EXACTLY the same as more vintage batches from 10 years ago.
It's STILL wicked, evil POTENT also 😅 ❤.

I like your review but I absolutely disagree with one thing that was said. The performance isn't the same. Sillage got toned down greatly, which is good, but the longevity suffered horrendously. In the 90's this very same line of fragrance was lasting over 12 hours easily, now it's 6 maybe 7 hours. That's half the original. It's still good but it's definitely weaker performance.
Is THIS one the one with the Roasted coffee and/or cappuccino note in it that's easily detectable or is THAT one the A Men Ultimate or A Men Pure Shot/Pure Energy flanker in the white bottle with blue juice and/or Blue Bottle with blue juice?..just curious as I've been wanting whichever one has the cappuccino or coffee note in it but so many flankers I lost track of which one I wanted to buy that has it in it lol..thanks in advance and newly subbed to the channel..loving it so far and hello from TN 👋 ✌️
This doesn't have the Coffee note.
That'll be either Ultimate or Pure Coffee.
I was able to purchase 30ml bottle of Thierry Mugler A*Men with green juice inside (batch from 2003). It's so powerful that I almost fainted after three shots 🤣

It was the first fragrance with which I became truly aware that perfumery was about more than just smelling good. He clicked in my brain, when I was barely interested in perfumes. Everything else, since that day 14 or 15 years ago, I enjoyed perfumes but I have never been captivated by another fragrance like A*men did, and I am aware that will never happen again. It was like first love. Good for showing me superiority. To bad for showing me the mediocrity of the rest of perfumery. While all the houses compete for a position in the ranking of best perfume, Mugler plays in another league, that of works of art.
So should I go for the latest mugler

I too have the older version plus angel and alien. I don’t buy the new L’Oréal versions they are inferior in all ways, missing the best part of how these fragrances were just to appeal to the mass crowd
This fragrance came out in 1996 and it was a breakthrough, nothing on the market was like it, that's probably what got it so much attention for so long so much attention that Kilian COPIED it and came out with their own version in 2014 'Intoxicated' which basically smells like the dry down it is very good but it is a COPY!!! And they charge 4 times the price.

I got this as a gift… I don’t like the opening at all smells like a$$. I’m trying to like it but every time I try to get a whiff 🤮🤢🤢… could the juice have possibly gone bad? Everyone is raving about this A*Men and I try not to hate any fragrances. I’ve been putting this on every evening when I’m home trying to understand it but this damn A$$Men opening smell just lingers for hours refusing to dry down.
I feel the juice may have gone bad probably too old? The color is still blue like yours… mine is the Mugler version
