  • Hotels in Tokyo are expensive, so if you want to keep costs down, we recommend using a capsule hotel.
"My CUBE by MYSTAYS", where we stayed this time, is a hotel that features a very clean and spacious capsule booth with a high ceiling, although it is reasonably priced at around 3000 yen per night.
The hotel is in a good location, just a 1-minute walk from the nearest station, and is highly recommended as it has good access from Asakusa Station and Ueno Station.
Please use it when you come to Tokyo.
    💵The cost for this day's stay was ¥3,100(USD 23.42)

I do wish the US had capsule hotels (I know there are a few but those are only in cities I don't visit). It would make travel more affordable. Thank you for sharing!

They have work stations now. You rent it for 15 minutes, 30 minutes or whatever time you need. I love the vending machines too!!!

These always look so safe. Even though you might not be able to lock ever capsule hotel/motel "door" you can with this one. The rest rooms are so clean!! And I pretty sure the toilet has more buttons than my phone has apps! I would love to stay here! Your 7-11's rock too!! Thanks for my mini vacation via CZcams!

Very nice location if you're interested in Asakusa!
Lots of buttons in the Japanese toilets, but only some of them are used (lol).

When I stayed in capsule hotel, the low ceiling bugged me. This looks much more roomie!

Pretty comfy with the high ceilings! If you plan to stay in a capsule hotel again next time, give it a try!

I am curious. The pj's are just for loan, right? And what if you get wrong size?

Actually 23$ is "okay" especially for the place this is but in Tokyo you can get a "proper" hotel room for the same price or even less ....
I had Private rooms in normal hotels for less then 20$ a night within the last 10 years several times and usually they were not bad at all.
Only had one Hotel that wasn't really nice in Osaka for 14$, super big private room but smelled like Smoke and no private bath (which is okay) but the big bath was completely open which I don't like and rather dirty.

I am amazed that you can stay in a decent hotel for $23 in the Asakusa area! You are a pro at finding lodging!
The hotel in Osaka may have been an old business hotel, as you said it smelled of cigarettes.
It is rare now, but in the past business hotels usually had rooms where smoking was allowed.

@@SUSHI-TRAVEL-JAPAN Hey there, I said for the place its a good price meaning that in this area there probably aren't many or even any hotels at all that are cheaper ;)
but there are some in Tokyo and I am talking about the city not the prefecture

I am claustrophobic and could never use such things. Why are these people wearing masks all along?

      Thank you for your comment.
It may be difficult for those with a phobia of the Firm to use it, though.
The ceiling is higher than in other capsule hotels.
If you are interested in using this hotel, we recommend it.
In Japan, it is still compulsory to wear a mask as a countermeasure against corona.
