I feel for the dad. The kids and wife suk. Sure the kids have a right to be mad, but pouting and not telling the reason right away is a stupid mind game. You can't fix a relationship by not talking. That's how you destroy one. The wife sux because she should have been mediating instead of taking sides. Any issues she had with him over this should've been dealt with away from the kids. Then she starts dictating new rules to him in front of the kids. "Drop the hobby and spend more time with the kids." Again, something that should've been discussed away from the kids. I would've left too. 3 against 1 with no end in sight.

pos dad failed as a parent. Why can't he just accept the fact that his son is not interested in cars. And he even has the audacity to lie??
instead of bonding with his son, he makes everything worse by saying that and lying. W mom, tho ,she cares for her children than her own pos husband.
