I still play too. Me and my roommates to some occasional LAN. Problem is, this game can’t handle much and crashes if too many units are in the match. I don’t remember having this problem back when I played on the CD version, but then again I never played against Brutal enemies much and didn’t play with friends back then. I use Worldbuilder too. It seems quite a few people who played Generals have played it with their dad lol.

yes, if you have the ultimate version from origin you can play it. just use hamachi to create a connection with your friends, we just did it a couple hours ago. works pretty well.

I always loved this game I always loved making a special forces assault with a sergeant hummvee and sergeant col burton, pathfinder, ranger, and two javelins. Always can wipe out a base with this little strike team. If i lose i can bail out quick and get picked up by chinook half way on the run.
Yeah I think this is the best strategy game of all time the rise of the Reds. The only reason why I don't play this is because when me and my brothers play against AI'.. we get a mismatch error and we get kicked out.. been trying so many ways to fix this problem and still no solution I think we would have to wait for a remaster four generals Zero Hour in the future so they can fix it
It’s a common problem with this game my friend. I ran into it all the time with my buddies. I think you need to set your in game IP to the same number or something. Try going to options and making it the same, while also being connected through LAN cable. Also, disconnect from the internet. Make sure windows allows your game to make external communications or whatever. Tell me if it works, I might be able to help you further if it does not.
