    Excellent presentation. Clear, concise instructions. I'm getting ready to accept my 1st vent client...only 8 weeks old! I have to take the training 1st and at least I know what to expect and feel less stupid now. Thanks!!!

    Thank You, I’ve been nervous 😬 about the vents and today I decided to find a video of how I can read and record what I need. Thanks a lot. Now my heart ❤️ is at peace.

    Thank you for this. I'm an RRT at a cardiac hospital (for 11 years) & have a pt with one of these Trilogy's. Before today, I had never seen one or hears of one. This was very informative for me & eliminated my fears. Much appreciated

      This was great, I have been researching "bipap ventilation explained" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Peyichael Simplified Plan - (search on google )?
      It is a smashing exclusive guide for discovering how to get rid of snoring and sleep apnea without the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my cousin got amazing success with it.

    I love the instructions & walk through , answered many questions, One thing I did not notice however, is when she is on her non invasive one when the bar goes low it pulsates or burps so to speak, then pushes the air but will do this like 3 times then work fine again, then repeat, her oxygen level is also not the same, is there a setting for the flow of that on the machine or does it just go through freely? Well thanks glad to have found your video...

    Great video. Mine is set up as ventilator, but just plain blue hose out to regular mask and I wear oxygen hose. Should they have put a different circuit in it so the trilogy would get feedback and adjust? I put on mask and sometimes in less than an hour I wide awake, get up very dizzy. I suppose to use 7 ppm on hose and 3 liters with machine. I only been able to sleep 6 or more hours less than 10 times. It was delivered 5 years ago with humidifier bottle and that would get my mask so that it would not seal and trying to pull oxygen line off back of machine was very difficult and that’s why they bypassed the humidifier. I been terribly cold and constantly sleepy, so tried wearing it again. Same results. The oxygen company that’s all over the USA has closed 2 offices. While wearing I warm up fast. Suffer from severe PH and severe congest heart failure. The last 4 months have been a nightmare sleeping 16 plus hours a day and waking up so cold and weak. Finally after dealing with it I went to ER. My regular doctor and ER doctor are at a lost. Thank u, I saved your video to show lung doctor.

      My mom had a hard time using the bipap/vent. She started using it last May 2021 after an acute Exasperation, which they added along with new nebulizer meds. Omg! I remember when they came with the vent, she died tech told her to keep her cannula on with oxygen along with the mask. My dad also had one, but he didn’t like it either. Mom and dad were waking up same way

    the unit has the ability to have blue tooth access. How does one get to the data inside the machine aside from pulling the SD Card out?

    I’m on oxygen 24/7 and a cpap at night with oxygen. I’ve heard people on this feel so much better with my pap at night I wake up feeling horrible it takes til noon before I feel a little better. I know I’m need to use it nightly but when I don’t use it I feel so much better in the morning. Was hoping this would help me can’t handle the cpap. Thank you

    In the video in the beginning she states that you should never hook your oxygen anywhere but the lower back of the machine! Why ,there are several other options that I know of?

    • @tessa1158
      @tessa1158 Před 2 lety

      Yes it needs to be connected on the valve at the back of ventilator. At no certain point that you will change a setting without an order from the doctor or Pulmonologist. Settings are mostly lock so you cannot even change the settings without the Pulmonologist order.

    4:36 - - QUESTION: WHERE DOES THE EXPIRATORY HOSE GO AFTER IT LEAVES THE HUMIDIFIER?
    (On HOSPITAL VENTILATORS it hooks back into the ventilator - - but on HOME VENTILATOR it just hangs off the side ???)

      That is the inspiration limb coming off of the heater...Expiration occurs thru the port connected near the patient...in passive mode...No Expiratory limb on a trilogy circuit.

    Is there a way to silence the initial start-up shrieking alarm? Like when you hit the power button, that screaming alarm which I can literally hear echoing through my house after it finally stops?
    Goodness, I can't imagine what that noise is for, but I'd love to never hear it again ;-)

    Is it the internal compressor making noise?

    • @michaelchismar509
      @michaelchismar509 Před 8 lety

      +John AK72 There is no compressor in the unit per se, there is a turbine in the unit that creates the needed pressure and that is the noise you hear.

    • @JohnAK72
      @JohnAK72 Před 8 lety

      Michael Chismar Same as the rule of air compressor in the some ventilators? is it possible to use pipeline compressed air, if it's available?

    • @michaelchismar509
      @michaelchismar509 Před 8 lety

      +John AK72 The unit is not designed to have an external compressor. Designed as a home unit. What is the issue you are having?

    • @JohnAK72
      @JohnAK72 Před 8 lety

      Michael Chismar using the pipeline compressed air, this is my issue.

    • @michaelchismar509
      @michaelchismar509 Před 8 lety

      +John AK72 Pipe line air pressure is 50 psi. Why do you want to use pipeline compressed air with the unit? What are you trying to accomplish? Are you trying to run the unit off a 50 psi compressed air source? This is not possible. Are you trying to bleed in additional air flow into the unit via a compressed air flowmeter connected to a 50 psi source?
