    I would say that rather than hating Mankind or any other particular race the Beastmen really hate Civilization, the idea of civilization and anything that is just barely related to civilization, like buildings and established hierarchy.
    Back in the days when Dwarves and Elves ruled the Old World and Humans were largely Barbarians I'm sure that the Beastmen's hate was directed more toward the first two rather than Humans. Now that Mankind has become the most widespread of the civilized races they have also become the main target of the Beastmen.
    Probably the Beastmen see Civilization as some kind of Aberration to the natural ways of Chaos, and so they want to destroy it all to protect their own (very Chaotic) vision of nature.

    I have quite a disagreement with the notion that beastmen are "not intelligent." Beastmen possess the same level of intelligence as a human, they just have a savage nature and instinct. They also do build structures, they organize pyres and build weapons and chariots. Civilization is directly abhorrent to Chaos, organization falls to the whim of Tzeentch who is essentially the God of Organized Chaos. It is said that the last thing a human leader of a warparty will ever realize is that the Beastmen were not at all unintelligent creatures.

    I'm glad this one was done. So how do you guys think the beastmen would work in a total war game? I think it could be a large faction of multiple roving warbands. It could be really fun to play as a bray shamin who whips all of the local bands into one force before attacking the humans when they least expect it.. Maybe trading with the chaos factions. And the fact that the chaos incursions won't harm you could be offset by being wedged between the wood elves and Bretonians, who equally wish to kill you.

    • @jakobhallberg9212
      @jakobhallberg9212 Před 8 lety +2

      It would be a bit hard to play as the Beastmen and like an earlier video he made about Chaos Warriors, Beastmen should be like roaming warbands that I'd guess be the standard enemy you fight in the Old World seeing as if you want to get somewhere, you have to cross a forest.

      No, that's not quite right. See, Beastmen as he said in the video are men fused with animals and they have a staunch belief that humans are not as much chaotic as the Beastmen are because they represent order while Chaos is... Well Chaos, the opposite. It's also sorta racist. But the less animal a Beastman is, and the more human it is, the less it's worth in the warband. Thus it's not about mutation but about racism, kinda.

    I don't see the beastmen being anything other than an NPC faction in Total War. Like a barbarians of sort. Same goes for chaos (I believe I have expressed that in your chaos vid).
    Anyway, thank you for another awesome vid.

      Arch Warhammer You did say that they did "work together with" Dark Elves. Maybe that could be a mission in a Dark Elf campaign? You get a beastmen army for a purpose of a mission. You can not build those units again, but you can suppliment them with dark elf troops? Just an idea.

    anyone else imagining a really smart beastmen warlord equipping some of his human mutant slaves with javelins and sending them to harass and soften up the enemy units and then using Shaka Zulu tactics by sending in his head and horns to charge the weakened units while keeping some units in reserve as his loins! I can imagine the beastmen doing this as its although very simple its very ingenius!

    really good quality video again, I hesitate to say what I expect from you now, hah, oh and for the criticisms you got for your vampire counts campaign, I agree that the campaign is ridiculously challenging and unfair but if you don't want to continue it then don't. I am not saying I didn't enjoy it, in fact I do, and if you do as well, despite how hard it is, then carry on, this is your channel, no one else's. If you are going to do another one, pick yourself next time so you don't wind up with a faction you dislike, I am not saying feedback is pointless but don't do something because you feel you are forced to. You are the one playing and I am the one watching. Anyway, looks like I rant almost as much as you, haha, good video again Arch.

  • @Aizen2468

    Kinda weird that the Beastman look down on mutations so hard and believe in "perfection" of Gors, when Tzeentch is supposed to be the god of ever changing and evolving forms. You'd think that Beastman, if they're truly Chaos Undivided, would take Tzeentch's view into account and actually be proud of their hideous deformed brethren! XD
    ESPECIALLY since Morghur is such a huge figure among them and well.....he's a fucking 'walking' (if he happens to have legs at the time) ever changing abomination lol

    • @tomclough7056
      @tomclough7056 Před 9 lety

      Aizen2468 beastmen dont look down on mutations. example ungor four horn isnt actually a beastman just a human with two heads, they found this so fascinating they let him live. he then cut off the heard of a beastlord and a brayshaman and wears their scalps and horns as a trophy. The main thing is that there needs to be big horns. and arch isnt correct, what they call truegor's also include caprigors and bovigors and others. Beastmen generally worship chaos undivided, not the seperate gods

    • @Aizen2468
      @Aizen2468 Před 9 lety

      Tom Clough sorry, I was just referring to in the video how Arch said that 99% of the time, Beastmen are more likely to kill humans with mutations than they are to accept them. And how there are 'perfect' gors, and gors that have one too many mutations are practically considered third class citizens that are practically slaves >< Just found it weird, considering the chaos god of Tzeentch is REALLY into mutating people, and one of the most influential beastman ever is Morghur who is a WALKING ABOMINATION THAT IS ALWAYS CHANGING, both himself and everything around him XD But I am no expert on Beastmen, I was just curious over the weird contradictions in Beastmen society over the views on change and mutation

    • @tomclough7056
      @tomclough7056 Před 9 lety

      Aizen2468 ahh. well they worship chaos undivided not the individual gods for the most part. they are a species and like themselves as they are, they may have started off mutants but they have evolved a common theme. just as humans dont like people who look too weird. and Morghur pretty much embodies chaos as a whole and they love it. Its more of a "this is who we are, if u dont have it you arnt quite good enough".

    • @Aizen2468
      @Aizen2468 Před 9 lety

      Tom Clough no no I get that, Im just sayin theres contradictions. They have an IDEAL Gor, and seem to look down on Beastmen that have mutated too much.....BUT, they wholly respect Morghur, who is practically the embodiment of what it is to be a follower of Tzeentch. I just find it kinda contradictory is all
