  • Dr. Jordan Rogers continues preaching through The Book of Romans in this sermon on Romans 15:1-7 entitled, "How to Care for Each Other in the Body of Christ."
Each of us in the Lord’s Church is at a different stage of spiritual maturity. There are those who are brand new in the faith, those who have walked with Christ for many years, and those who are found somewhere between those two ends of the spectrum of spiritual maturity. This poses an interesting dynamic, because weaker and stronger believers are to work together in the task of glorifying God.
In Romans 15:1-7, the Apostle Paul gives us clear instruction on how to care for each other in the Body of Christ (the Church). First, we must bear patiently with the failings of the weak. Then, we need to be a source of encouragement to our brothers and sisters in Christ in order to build them up. Finally, we are to welcome one another into fellowship, just as Christ did for us. Our ultimate example of how we are to care for each other is Jesus, who humbled Himself and suffered for our failings in order to bring us to God.
The following is a sermon from Romans 15:1-7 and below you will find the video recording and a sermon outline to help you follow along as you watch. I hope this study tool helps you grow in your love for the Lord Jesus and in your obedience to Him.

I am financially and careerwise left for weak, but I seem emotionally more maturated and wise than my opponents thanks to God, strangely. So who is the weak one in this whole story and who needs to care for whom? Lord almighty, I thank you for thorougly defending me and being my best friend, although I am sure I do not always do what is pleasing to you. Nevertheless I am willing to take up my cross and not create shortcuts at the expense of others, although I am asking this moment for financial support to be able to continue my studies. The thing which bothers me the most is that I could not live up to my own expectations to progress enough, even though I tried at my internship. I neverthemore ask you to give me a possibility to finish my studies this coming year, with the discipline and stability without constant spritual attacks that I need to make all I have worked for count for something. I will keep praying for my opponents and lost and loved ones Lord! In accordance with this word and romans 15:1-7, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I bind myself, my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ to bear the failings of the weak where one is strong, while binding myself not to be unequally yoked with and have any common share with those who forsake to bear the failings of the weak where one is strong, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!
