- Bansko on 2 January 2023, only red piste 8 is open and it is very full. As no other pistes are open besides the nursery, everyone is trying their luck on a hard slope. Even a dog ran almost into me. Note: objects on camera seem closer than in reality :)
The amount of skiers stopping in the middle of the slopes is distressing.
This winter is madness in the sense that there is no snow anywhere, at least in the Balkans...
I have been to Bansko a couple of times and it is a great place for skiing, but this is sadness...
luckily, this year we decided to go to the French Alps :)
Same, I go to La Plagne on 21st Jan. By pure accident, I've booked a snowsure resort due to being so high in the Alps for my first year away from Bulgaria.
I was there that day too…such a shame about the no snow

Wow! Is it always this busy (the queue at the end for the lift), or was it just because it's a bank holiday? Thanks for sharing. Was hoping to get on the mountain soon, but I guess waiting for more snow might help?!
Usually there is a shorter queue when more slopes are open as skiers spread out
Wait for more snow for sure. The slope is not great and not really fun when there are so many people.

We’re also going to Bankso 11th Feb. They had some snow this week I think. Still got a month for conditions to get better. Fingers crossed
how much is 1 day ski pass with 1 lift and 1 piste opened? is the same price like usually?
