There are two ways to download the Threads app:
Go to your Instagram profile page and click on the three lines in the top right corner. If you have an app update, you will see an option to download Threads.
Alternatively, you can search for Threads and Instagram directly to the App Store or Google Play Store. Download the app from there.
Once you open the Threads app, it will automatically use the Instagram account you are logged into on your device.
You can switch between multiple accounts if they are logged into the Instagram app. Simply click on your username on the Threads app and select the account you want to switch to.
You can import your username, bio, and link from Instagram during setup. You can also choose to follow the same accounts you follow on Instagram or skip this step.
After setting up your profile, you will see the home page where you can scroll through posts from people you follow or suggested posts.
Use the search function to find and follow other users on Threads.
To compose your own thread, click on the compose button and type up to 500 characters. You can also add photos and videos up to five minutes long.
