This episode, I installed a remote brake booster/master for the DDR kit car. In the process initially went to install the bosch ibooster right to the firewall, however, after looking at where the body sits on the flange I realized it wouldn't work. In order for the booster to sit on the firewall it would have interfered with the windshield sill. I ended up using a Wilwood pedal coupled with the speedway master and slave. I used a push type slave on the mounting bracket to attach setup. After welding everything up I installed the both the brake pedal and master. The last thing tackled in this episode is bending up, bead rolling and welding in the accelerator mount. With the mount fabricated and welded in, I installed the pedal itself.

Hola amigo, pues yo no tengo un proyecto de auto eléctrico pero tengo un viejito Mercedes que toda la vida a frenado sin Booster, con este vídeo ya se que debo hacer para que frene como Dios manda, gracias!!!
I also used a Wilwood pedal on my DDR ev project and ended up, like you, fabricating a new pedal arm to get the correct length and angle. Excellent creativity in doing a remote booster. I notice you using a small hand sander to prep for welds. I found an angle grinder with a 60 or 80 grit flap disc is much quicker and also great for cleaning up welds.
Yesss!! I'm about to buy one of these so this episode is already my favorite 😂😁
Superfastmatt has a video on this regarding which wires need to be connected out of the harness plug.
Looking good my friend keep it up.
Pues ahora el problema es que no sé dónde se compra esa pieza de color rosa para hacer el "remote Booster" o de coche es?
Doesn't that effectively turn your brake system into a single circuit? If the line between the master and slave fails, you'll loose all brakes.
That is correct... 🤔
While not ideal, this is in a low probability of failure are as it will not be exposed to elements and road debris. Based on reading vehicle codes of several states, the concensus is that brakes require two methods of actuation that shall actuate at least two wheels, but also indicates that the parking brakes are one of those two separate methods of actuation. I'll do some more digging.
I was wondering. I am trying to get one of these kits and the camero and Porsche parts it asks for but how much would it cost to get a mechanic to build it for me because I have no mechanical experience.
Looking forward to your next video. I plan on doing a detailed build video also. thanks for doing this one!!! Just wondering if you have the chosen what air ride company you will be going with?
I'm going with the ridetech shocks, not sure about the controller yet.
