yes this how Leviathan recorded most of his stuff, is the way i record my stuff because its simple as Sablas said you just connect a guitar cable to the interfase and you can record it, someone mentioned that the cymbals still sound fake and yeah its true but since its played manually still sounds more real than programmed drums
Now, that's a nice e-drumset. I was thinking to buy one, but luckly I have not neighbohours, so I will stay with my acoustic drumset, which I can implement with other components. E-drums are good for practice, as you said. Btw, also hybrid drumsets rule. Cheers man! . . . . . . . . 01:45 if you close your eyes you can listen to some mice preparing something evil at Sablast's home.
An important question for metal use... Can you use two trigger pedals for the bass drum on the DED-100 ? And if so, where on the site can you buy a pedal alone to add to the kit ? Or can you use the hi-hat pedal for that and you need to switch the kit on the module ?
I have a Yamaha electronic drumkit, and it is absolutely good for practice and recording. The only problem is with the cymbals, they still sound "fake" too much... Great video man, and I'm happy that Donner is bein given a lot of credit, it seems like a great company!
Ok, everytime i watch this channel I end up asking my wife if we can get another piece of equipment. This is getting to be a very expensive (and helpful) channel. (i'm getting them).
In fact the first time Jef Whitehead "Wrest" used acoustic drums was in the split with Sapthuran. Later that release was a LP titled "The Blind Wound."
Can you make a video on how to approach labels and what things to keep in mind? For example: I now think I may have made a mistake sending my newly released album (out from a Canadian and an Italian label) to more labels for a re-release next year... :-/
Almost did buy me an electronic drum set and I had to decide against because I lived in an apartment and couldn’t afford it. Waiting to buy a house to get me an acoustic kit like I had before
Its good enough for the bedroom blacker for sure. If I could use these drums (or whatever e-drums) to create the MIDI file and then use KVLT DRUMS, would that work???? Hail from Zurich.
I wish I could grab one while they're on sale. Always wanted a Roland td9. How many extras can you equip on these Donnie's? I'd want at least 1 more cymbal, but then comes the question of: can I set up a custom kit with specific sounds per pad or am I stuck with only presets.
There are more models (check the site - others have an extra cymbal). The one i have is the cheapest. And the drums are MIDI so that means you can play with the kit the way you like it in the daw
Electronic drums sound like a mix of a drum machine and an acoustic set. But they sound much better then a drum machine. The drum hits don't sound exactly the same even on electronic drums.
There's an easy fix for that with drum machines, it's called velocity adjustment and randomization, you can alter the (as the name says) velocity or strength of each hit/ note so that it sounds more organic.
@@RichardCranium. Correct, older programs aren't as versatile by far so that can certainly make things difficult (pending what the artists' goals are). The best free drum machine/ program I've found is Hydrogen.
I ordered the ded 200 cause I got a nice discount code. Then no fucking bulshit the ded 300 came out for literally 30 more dollars then what I payed 5 fucking days later
This kit has nice response in hits but the sounds sucks so it's maybe great for playing only with plugins as ezdrumner. With this investment you could play anything!!!But for Black metal cause the drums most bands have isn't necessary to use plugins the module is ready.
If the module has USB the next step is to connect it to the computer and start up KVLT drums for some extra evilness!
You just gave me the inspiration to clear the dust off my electric drum set and try to learn drums again

A bedroom musician’s friendly use to practice AND record drums.

i use a old roland td-3 for my raw bm project and it works fine
can I hear your project?
Leviathan used e-drums for some of his recordings.
Abigor as well.
And Sarcofago, for some records.
@@rothbardfreedom Also Striborg said he used Casio keyboard drums on his earlier stuff, can't remember the name.
I really like the drumset and it has a good choice of sounds, i think it would be perfect for begginers

Electronic Drums. VST Guitars. Lactose-and-fatree milk. Non-alcoholic beer. Turkey bacon. Rubber women. All these things are actually great!!!! 😎🤘🎶🍻🥃
Yeah. Cuz trve blackers can't tell the difference :D

I have a lot of expirience in that. And learned a great lesson. I don't ask :p
That’s how Leviathan made most of his albums (Massive Conspiracy Against All Life he used an acoustic kit for the first time in recording)
No, he used a Roland which in comparison to Donner makes Donner look like a child’s toy

Yo
I have a Idea For a Video
How to write Black n Roll

There's so many things in black metal that end up being a question of should or shouldn't do stuff.

I have that in plan. But i was only in 3 smaller labels xD as far as i know
@@zimorog no worries at all, bring it on please! Thanks!!
@@zimorog That would be a good one to cover, if you want some more insight into that topic I could help out.

I want this but I’m gonna have to rig up a double pedal somehow. Great review🤘🤘🤘

Great video.
Electric kits definitely have their place and can be used to decent efficacy, we use one in the band Cryptic Evil.
@TheFusionDance Thanks!
Shameless

Not so much into him, maybe
I’m not a drummer so I use Superior Drummer 3. Would this kit be able to trigger SD3 sounds, or can it only use the built in ones?
It is MIDI aswell, so probably yeah. But i didn't try it
