Just a bit of whispering about my week so far, sprinkled in with a bit of (hypothetical) neighborhood gossip, and a bit of show & tell. :)

We lived next door to this building that one day decided to run children’s dance classes all weekend. I’m talking 7am starts on a Saturday and the “little darlings” sounded like a heard of elephants in this hall. To make matters worse I live in England so no air con, so they would open the windows so from 7am to no joke 7.30pm it was banging of feet and repeating songs over and over again. My dad decided to take action and started revving his Kawasaki Ninja every time they opened their windows and eventually they got the message and kept them shut and invested in fans/air cons so we could sit out in our garden. So I totally sympathise with not being able to escape the noise of a neighbour!
Honey we all need to just “theoretically” talk it out sometimes. Love this video ❤️

Why does every neighbourhood seem to have a guy whose motorcycle is perpetually being "worked on"? Or lawn mowers that just never seem to start properly??? Haha! >.

Me too! Is it bad that I even feel weird calling my family members by their names? I have had nicknames for my sister since we were little and I only call my husband by nicknames unless we’re in public!

The only thing my neighbors ever did was yell at by dad because he Built a fence on our side of the yard . And they got mad at him one Saturday for some reason and it was 7 in the morning and he went out in his underwear and shut them up lol 😂😂
Your neighborhood is more interesting than mine! I’ve lived in my neighborhood for almost six years, and I only know one persons name. And she’s told me everyone’s names numerous times, and I still don’t know them!

I love these whisper rambles so much. I can relate to so much you say. Your little boy sounds precious. My ex- husband bought a 1985 Mercedes and all he did on his time off was work on it. He said it didn't cost much but it took all his time! I said if you don't want a car payment buy a used honda! I wouldn't even ride in it. The passenger seat felt like it was filled with sawdust

Oh Mary I feel so sorry for you and your neighbours for having to listen to that all day! Someone in my neighbourhood has a Harley Davidson and has spent this time away from his job driving up and down the street for hours on end. Every 8 minutes this motorcycle comes by so loudly that the walls are shaking and I live on the 3rd floor! Working from home is such a pain my neighbours and I have been Joe Exotic joking, -but not really- that it would be a real shame if someone accedentally backed into it one day when he's done riding around on it!

Omg I’m glad you said that about calling people by their name because I’ve always hated that too even though I know it makes people usually feel good and stuff but it just makes me feel awkward. Funny story, I used to regularly babysit a 7 year old kid a few times per week and when I started, his mom never really introduced us. I had to learn his name from looking at his school work on the fridge. One time he needed me and he called out “babysitter!” 😂😂 I don’t think he ever heard my name. His mom probably just called me the babysitter.

I hate calling people by their names! It's so intensely weird! But to remember names I started just immediately repeating their name back to them so when they tell me they're name I'm like "oh, Sandra? Hi Sandra"... OR try association with a famous person, my name is Kate and my friend told me when we first met every time he saw me he thought "Middleton" 🤣
Calling somebody by their name is hypothetically an easy way to manipulate somebody as it makes them feel closer to you and makes it feel like you have a more personal relationship. Hypothetically of course!

I don’t really call people by their names because I frequently forget things and have anxiety I’ll say the wrong name. On the flip side, I really hate when people use my name. I don’t get mad because obviously it’s normal of them to use my name but I just honestly hate it lol such a weird quirk
So weird! I’m the same way! Unless I really know someone or they are a client of mine I do not like to make a connection by calling people by their names. I also never remember someone’s name when they introduce themselves to me. It is definitely a way of emotional self protection.
I think this is really interesting. I always feel like there is more of a emotional connection if you call someone something different than their name. Or is this just about their first name? What do you call people? I'm genuinly curious.

I purchased SOL and my feet turned out really splotchy! I used fingernail remover and it took it off.
I tried that, and it didn't work for me. The trick that worked for me to avoid the splotches was to apply some spray lotion to my feet first.
