I’ve had really good luck out of these exact servos I order them and a protek clamping horn I’ve got a 45kg in a hammer Rey and it’s absolutely perfect
I have this same losi and already did most the upgrades you talked about. But the chassis droop was new to me. I'm going to put stoppers in right now. Thanks for the great video.
Please explain how to bind my losi tenacity db pro v2. IT doesn't brake 😢 Your a very good at explaining slowly . I've watched and learnt a lot of your videos Many thanks Ian in the UK 🇬🇧
Hi there! This video should help you: czcams.com/video/lXSsjuvOIiQ/video.htmlsi=UaeBnFvatr-QMeWB I typically watch this one when I need to get the info myself!
Great Video on the DB PRo😀💪...I added the Traxxas Sledgehammer tires, The RPM skid plates, a wheelie bar and I skin'd the chassis plate with a skin i got from Darkside studios. Going to do the steering servo next🤔
Thanks for the great video. I recently purchased one and i immediately changed the battery tray to accommodate a 3s 5000mah 100c Spectrum battery. But as warned the motor was too hot to touch even running on 70% power on a 70° day. So I decided to change the pinion gear as recommended. Simple right? NO! First of all the grub screw was so tight I literally bent the allen wrench to get it out. Then despite several different attempts to remove the spur gear it would NOT come off. This is where I'm left. Great car otherwise but It's out of service until I have a solution.
Interesting - I have run mine on 3S, but just put a Dan on the motor and not worried about it. For working on RC, you really need a good set of tools. You will find these MIP drivers to be a game changer when it comes to getting pinions off: amzn.to/3VfEsjM
Awesome tips Troy. I have just got my hands on the TT Pro because the DB is not available locally and the cost of importing one from the States is obscene. But man what a solid platform for a 2/3s RC. So much better than my Arrma Senton and right up there if not better than my Team Associated SC10. Why did I take so long to get a Losi? Great tips bro, I'll definitely be moving my receiver. 👍👍👍
I'm in the market for a fast RC some time soon. I think I've settled on a Losi Tenacity TT (the Falken livery). But... instead of those plastic skid plates I think I'd rather do truck-bed liner. It's abrasion resistant, it's cheap, it's tough. And... you can touch up as many times as you like. Now... the down-side is you can't really take it off. But if you're super careful about applying it in the first place it won't matter.
Hia i just resently got this car and I would like to know if this is normal or not but Does your wheels start to chatter when your fully locked left or right while having the car up off the ground and while also having the throttle on? If you can test this and let me know also how far the angle is when you have your wheels fully locked to left and right Id greatly appreciate it.
That is just the axles reaching the limits of their travel. You are exaggerating the issue by having the suspension in full droop (off of the ground). It will be fine when driving.
Great video, just got my db pro and love it. Quick question though, ive only run it twice and it looks like the rear tie rod has completely screwed itself inward so now the rear tire is way out of alignment. Easy fix but is this common?? Didn't realize a tie rod could adjust on its own
That tie rod didn't "adjust". It was smashed in from a crash, or was faulty from the factory. I'd replace it with a stock part and see if it happens again.
@RoadsideRC ok will do, just replace the whole thing?? Yes you are probably right, the buggy did have a few bumps and bruises the first couple times out :) thx for your help :)
DHK Wolf B, Traxxas 4 Tec, because I have both they have the hole to make the arm go up or stay stock, and for the suspension is possible to do the same thing the monster truck have, put a strap that control travel of the arms that help in the monster truck, rc is can be a solution
Great tips on simple upgrades that really helps. This is the first time I've seen a Ferrite bead (RF interrupter) on an RC car. Is that something you added? Very interesting. I know that they are used to prevent EMI and are used on DC circuits but Ive not seen them used in RC's. It certainly seems logical in this application.
Hi there! I did not add it. Losi had it from the factory. There are just a few vehicles that I see with them. I actually don't quite understand the reason for a manufacturer to put it on one vehicle, but not another. Seems it would either be standard or not.
@@RoadsideRC My best guess is that the engineers are experimenting. Maybe it helps prevent interference to the receiver. Very interesting addition. Thanks again for sharing this beautiful car.
I really like body on it I have the lucas oil one but prefer your style also I like the that idea with the fan. Is a 5200 3s 100c battery a big difference from a 5000 2s?
You are right! I never published it because I thought it was boring. It was a very short video of me rummaging through my spare screws and then putting them in the holes. Sorry that I left it out. But - it did work like a champ! If you want to try it - go for it!
Just got the TT Pro last week, was having a great time and it does handle great with tons of speed, sadly it/I killed the rear diff after only 3 packs run through it (Not really sure how). So your statement about blowing out and rebuilding the diff's might be on-par, at least in my case. I have ordered a rebuild kit, and will be redoing all 3. Also upgrading to a new servo and metal steering setup as part of the overhaul. I have watched a bunch of your videos and thank you for all the information. I know you mention The RC Farm, I haven't made it over to that track yet (I am just North of Knoxville) but will get there this summer I am sure. Do you ever make it out to ROCCK in Knoxville?
Thanks Dan. Hope you really like the TT Pro! I have never made it over to the ROCCK. Thought about it, but never made the jump. Maybe I will see you at RC Farm at some point!

First thing you should do is ditch all the spektrum crap that comes stock. Overpriced junk in my opinion. My stock spektrum 614 servo died on the 2nd run and esc died 2 days later. Also plan on spending most of your time trying to calibrate the dx3 with avc reciever unless you swap it out. Otherwise its a great buggy.
@RoadsideRC same here. They are a hit or miss in my experience. My 4ws capra has had spektrum electronics for almost 2 years and it's been thru mud, water, snow, sand ect. My mohave same except the servo died quickly. My db pro on the other hand was a disaster. Must have gotten parts made on a Friday afternoon lol.
@@RoadsideRC okay awesome. I love this line with the DB and tt. I got a video of me racing a tekno sct against my tt pro on my channel on my own track if you wanna check that out.
My front shock shaft popped the lower piston clip right away. I used LOSA6295 as droop screws.
Thanks!
Skid plates mos def, and not an expensive upgrade- very nice. Thanks for posting!
Glad it was helpful!

u can run 4s if u upgrade the motor to a Spektrum Firma 1900Kv 4-Pole Brushless Motor SPMXSM2200 esc is 4s capable

Unfortunately, the exact driver I use has been discontinued. But this is a very similar one: amzn.to/47CpQAm

Yes, you will find a 3S battery is much more powerful than a 2S.
Sorta want this buggy.. BUT also sorta want a 6s Typhon too haha
Hmm. Tough decisions!

My wheel keeps coming lose. I keep replacing nylon nuts. The thread is not stripped. Do you have this problem?
I have not had that issue. Is it only one corner of the car?
Great tips!
Thanks!
Why not foam? To protect the body rather than tape?
This gorilla tape works wonders - plus gives it more strength against tearing/ripping the body.
Question for u roadside rc. What slot in the transmitter would I plug my fan into? I didn't want to accidentally mess something up thanks.
Any slot that is unused. The fan should only have a positive and negative wire, so it can't interfere with the receiver.

Does the same apply to my scbe, i THINK, they might differ slightly
They differ a little, but the ideas should transfer to it also.

What electric screw driver are you using in this video?
It is this one: amzn.to/3OxLxI4
It has served me really well.

I did find ones that will work - but never purchased or installed them! Buggy seems good without them.
