I'll fly away has meant so much to me too, as my husband of 54 years flew away to glory, one year ago. But about 2 weeks before he graduated, he raised one arm up towards heaven and said in an excited voice "I see Jesus". Thank you for these beautiful hymns you are singing here - such a comfort - had some tears for your husband and family as a gap is left, BUT we know they are in a better place. God bless you all!

I know Joey was brought here on earth to prove to us that ANGELS are real !! Even though she was on earth for a very short time she has made no doubt in my mind that angels exist! I always thought she was the most beautiful lady I ever saw !! So now I believe she has to be the most beautiful ANGEL that heaven has !!
My little sister got her wings yesterday and is no longer in severe pain or suffering. So much as I’m hurting and broken , I know have memories and another Angel watching over me. 🦋🙏💕🇦🇺

Joey + Rory were (are) great ambassadors of traditional gospel music. To tell the truth, it's a format I'd never been that fond of, until hearing these two. The joy shines through.
She is never forgotten. I loved her voice. I am amazed by her faith. She knew where she was going. The hard part was leaving her family but she trusted God. She continues to inspire me all this time later.

This was my grandfathers favorite song, he too is now up there, at his funeral my younger sister and my then 5 year old sang this song at his funeral, lets just say tear jerker, all the way, even now it still is a tear jerker
My mom got her wings and flew home on May 3 2018 days before she passed I played her the whole album of hymns by Joey and Rory and Everytime she heard her favorite hymn she would squeeze my hand basically telling me how much she loved the song and the Lord and me thank you for making this album for all to love

Paul, what the hell is wrong with you, do you think that if you are saved by our lord that nothing bad will come your way, there are tests & trails that we must overcome to prove our faith. My family has lost 3 very christian people over the last year all in their early 50's . It's pretty easy to talk shit when you haven't been thru it. Thank u Jesus! I've been blessed my entire life w/ all southern hymnals. I grew up in little churches on top of a hill. Still stands today! I've have the biggest blessings my entire life. These old hymnals were sung n churches in the beginning of the Appalachians. On a hill side, n little (unincorporated) towns. Didn't realize it then but ALWAYS knew I was not alone. I had God n my heart. These hymnals bring back how I was raised w/ a faith(not seen). I knew that I had God n Jesus Christ n my heart. These hymnals n sermons frm a little girl till now.....I Still feel "the holy spirit" when I listen. I felt the holy spirit all my life because of having a special gift n didn't realize it!!! Truly an angel on earth is all I can say-I was not familiar with Joey and Rory until last night when I watched To Joey, With Love-I cried and laughed some more - Indiana is the most precious little girl- I am so saddened by the loss of Joey. God Bless Rory, Indiana and all those who knew and loved this incredible woman!

He truly loved his wife. The videos he does now with his daughter are mixed with memories of his wife. I don't know how he copes other than he has to father their child and continue in n for her sake. They had a beautiful love story.

I believe she still believe in her healing, but now she is saying if it is the Lord will I have been claiming her healing, many times Rory and Joey show what a true Christian is.
I understand laying ALL at Gods feet and his will be done, but his WILL is for total healing and for us to Satisfy our Days in old age or until we are SATISFIED. Its God's promise to us just as Salvation is, but as I am learning in Divine Healing WE have to accept that too, just as we did Christ. NORMALLY, now sometimes some with the Spiritual Gift of healing will have the Holy Spirit lay people on their hearts and minds and commence healing automatically. Otherwise there is normally a level of FAITH in that healing prayer/laying on of hands that is required by BOTH in agreement with what the Lord has already done and paid for on Calvary for us. She REALLY needs to get the book.. YOU CAN BE HEALED by Billy Joe Daughtery .. In fact I wonder if there is a way to get a copy mailed to her??

Was it the Spirit of Christ in you or was it obedience to "proper Bible doctrine" that caused profane and offensive language to come out? I found this while looking for the O Brother where art Thou version. This is by far the best, by far. She is indescribably beautiful, her voice amazing and charisma immeasurable. The back story (0r fore story) makes me break down into a puddle of tears, and I consider myself a big strong tough guy.

I absolutely love these two, whether thru hymns or the crazy,funny,sad,or truthful songs I love all of them. I can't imagine the strength they had Joey as sick as she was here still up and praising our Lord and Rory his love for Joey is rare you know standing there singing with her knowing it will probably be one of the last times he will had to be ripping him apart inside but he still did not show any fear or hurt and continued to stay right beside her doing what she loved to do with the same amount of love as ever for her and smiling because he knew she was happy even in pain and feeling terrible you know he wanted to just scoop her up and just hold her forever. I can say every single day even at work I am listening to them. Bless you Rory and family and Joey you are with the best chior now. You all have made a huge impact on a lot of lives in this world and have shown that there is some beautiful still in this cold dark world we are in rest easy Joey. Singing to the heavens now and forever missed.

Sorry to hear that she has passed, but glad she is in God's presence. My wife's favorite song. When we visit nursing homes, she flaps her arms like she is flying and gets some of the older residences to get some exercise by moving their arms.
I just found out about her and I miss her. A wonderful lady and testimony of her love of Jesus. Prayers out to her husband.

I found the video where roseanne cash performed this song and the walk the line song, as a tribute to her dad... Anyway, I did a search on youtube, because I wanted to find the best rendition of this song, I could find, because I really like it... I found this video and I really liked this rendition, she sounds so beautiful and perfect... I'd never really heard of joey and her husband, so I searched google to see what I could find. Anyway, my heart broke when I saw that she had died of cancer at age 40, which was about two years after her daughter was born with down syndrome... So sad!!! I've always felt others hurt/sadness and I never understood it, till recently, when I discovered that I'm a spiritual empath. All my life I've shutout the world, because I felt like it drained me, and now it all makes sense. When my loved ones get hurt or are sad, it hurts and makes me 3x as sad, and I can't control it! 💜

But if you watch the interview with Bill Gaithersburg that was taped the day before her last appt (where she found the chemo wasn't working &I decided to stop treatments) you will hear them say that she really believed god had taken care of her and gotten rid of the cancer. But that if he hadn't it was okay because either way she was going to be in an amazing place.
